Complexion- fair, clear.Vain. As a veela, it shouldn't be surprising that she's vain as could be. She was raised as a veela and that the only person more important than herself was her mother and she still lives by it. A compliment to her is always something she appreciates and if you're lucky enough to get a comment back then it should be received like a holy gift. After all, mere humans are never good enough for her and if you actually have something that perked her interest, then damn you're lucky.
Distrustful. It's often found that people will take advantage of veelas for their powers or the appearance of having a veela friend, this is what she was told as a child anyway and has kept up with her high standards for trust that her elder sisters demonstrated. So, like the good little veela she is, Clarissa is sparing with her trust and friendship and even a little suspicious about people. Of course, the suspicion only comes when her mind is on something else but herself which is a rare occasion.
Loyal. When her trust is given out, though, she's fiercely loyal to her friends and no one will mess with them while she's around. Granted with friendship by her makes you almost an honorary veela and with the protection of one, meaning getting a guy is easier and getting rid of pesky ones is only a request away. Maybe that's just usingher, but Clarissa sees it as more of her civil duty to her friends.
History. Clarissa's family was quite unusual and much too large to possibly name off each member by name or even appearance. Her mother was a veela, and still an active one at luring in whoever and whatever she wanted at the moment. Her mother didn't even bother with a last name at the moment, and just went by Madelaine and that was it. Her mother had multiple husbands over her lifetime and produced four daughters from this, Clarissa being the youngest by a lot. The sisters, all having different fathers, were never really bonded and most of them had grown up, married, and the older ones even had children by now --such as her eldest sister, Christi Locke.
Her father was the typical working Wizard that Madelaine lured in in one of her trips to foreign countries. Trey Swann was an archaeologist at one of the ruins she was visiting and took a licking to him for his high-set cheekbones and shameless grin. Clarissa never really connected with her father and grew up most of the time without him as an influence, though at about age 8 they became pen pals. In her room there was a lot of useless junk from his projects that, though worthless, she treasured just because it was a connection to her much-too-distant father.
As a child, she was grown up to be a veela and had little contact with magic, except in the accidents were it would set off because of her anger along with her charm. She came to understand, through her mother's influence, that complements and secret glances were almost as important as food for sustaining her life. Vanity became a part of life and she barely noticed that she was the only one of her childhood friends to have the mindset of not touching sandboxes because they were filthy.
When she first came to Hogwart in her fourth year, she was the only one of her sisters to attend Hogwarts for a few years, while all the otherse finished at Beauxbatons. She moved mostly because her mother was becoming too notorious of a veela figure in their french county and she decided to relocate to the British isle to hide out for a while. Early on, Clarissa found that grasping the ability to use magic was a challenge to her and was rather unpredictable with controlling her spells. This was not much of a problem because she could easily get a tutor--also known as her a-ticket--such as one of the nerdier boys, or even a teacher that she could sweet talk into her favor. There was one subject she succeeded in with little failure, and that was Charms. Rather unsurprising, as the Veela Charm was usually just shortened to the charm among her fellows. Eventually she steadied in her magic and around the middle of her Third year. By the time she entered Hogwarts, she could control it to the point that she could send little hexes back at the Slytherins who started house rivalries with rare flaw that were quickly covered up with a charm to conceal it.
