Personality.Shy. Quiet and unsocial, Aaron's not usually the one to speak up in class or state his opinion without being asked. He doesn't like to argue and avoids a fight if he can. As a friend, Aaron tries to be easygoing and usually just does whatever everyone else is doing, unless it goes against his morals or is just plain walking all over him.
Protective. Although he's not one to initiate the friendship, once friends he becomes a different person to you. Viciously loyal to his friends and protective to a t, it's the part of his personality that landed him in Gryffindor rather than Hufflepuff. His friends always come first and protecting them is almost second nature, so much so that he barely realizes that he's arguing or fighting until he's calmed down later.
Modest. Going along with his shyness, he's also the most modest young man who can barely take a complement or credit for his work. He'd rather pass it to someone else and be the one to congratulate and dislikes being the center of attention.
History. Aaron's story starts like many others, with one magical parent and one not. Born to Gloria and Robert, he was his mother's little gift and she was quite thrilled aside for the fact that they were both witches and wizards and their father has yet to, and could not, know. She wanted her child to be raised in a magical environment, yet her husband was in the way. So for the first five years of Aaron's life, she just dealt with it and decided to put the family togetherness and happiness above her selfish wishes.
But when she caught her husband cheating on her with some young, pretty little muggle lass it was her sign to get rid of the dirty scum and do things like she thought they should be. She had a muggle divorce then moved back into a wizarding village with her sister, Laureline, and never moved out. For the rest of his life he grew up with two mothers and it was probably the cause of his sweet and quiet personality. It was also probably the cause for a bit of teasing about having 'lesbian mothers', but as long as he knew that wasn't true he could deal with whatever was thrown at by simply not caring. Nothing defeats a Slytherin taught like indifference.
At age eleven, his parents were pleasantly surprised and joyed to see the owl arrive at their house with his letter. For most of his child he hadn't shown much signs of magical talent so they talked about Hogwarts and magical schooling as little as possible for the chance he was a squib or just a plain muggle. But with the letter came the downpour of stories and information so that by the time he was packing up and entering the train with a childish grin on his face, he was quite ready for whatever was to come. His mother and his aunt had both been Gryffindors and he was surprised to see himself placed there too. Brave and courageous wasn't where he'd place him, more like the docile as a lamb Hufflepuffs, but maybe his lineage was what pushed the hat towards lion pride for him.
