The spell hits the door and from the impact points it glows red and it slowly spreads, cracks appearing making the door look like cooling lava. It starts to fizz and instead of exploding into millions of pieces the door crumbles into a small mound of dust. The smell of burning wood soon passes and you can smell salt water, it is like being by the sea and as you peer around the door you look upon a room that is like a muggle swimming pool. On every corner there is pillar and on top of that a statue depicting the animal of each house with there mouths open and water pouring out of their mouths into the pool bellow.
The pool itself is vast and deep, even standing upon the waters edge you can not see the bottom, it is just darkness. You are convinced there is some movement but maybe it was a trick of the light…
Next to the door is table and upon the table is a large hour glass filled with sand, and just like before a slip of parchment with the now familiar handwriting of Dan Hubbles.
‘I hope you all know how to swim and you are not scared of the dark as the key to the next room is somewhere down there…..you will not be the alone in the pool either. When you are ready turn the hour glass over and jump in. Just remember time is against you!!!!’

"Wait!" Ellie said, but it was too late. The spell had been cast. Ellie immediately brought her arms up to cover her eyes, however, after a few seconds of nothing happened, she lowered them to see the cracked, glowing door. Ellie starred at it as it became dust. Ellie sighed. Well she was happy that no one had lost a head. "Yeah, yeah, I know, listen to the Ravenclaw more often." She said rolling her eyes, stepping forward to go into the next room.
Ellie starred at the pool. It was dark, and Ellie could have swore she saw something down there. Ellie shivered a bit. She wasn't fond of water. What if it was an animal!? She looked up at the statues. It was rather odd to see water spewing from the beak of a Raven, but she guessed it was pretty. However, the tinkling of the water put Ellie on edge as she remember the glare of something down there.
To the table, with yet another hourglass, Ellie walked. She stopped and picked up the parchment reading it out loud.
‘I hope you all know how to swim and you are not scared of the dark as the key to the next room is somewhere down there…..you will not be the alone in the pool either. When you are ready turn the hour glass over and jump in. Just remember time is against you!!!!’
Ellie looked at Bray. "What if its an animal down there!!!" She said, slightly horrified. This was charms, not care of magical creatures. Hubble must be confused. Never the less, Ellie did not want to get into that water.

After his spell was cast, Bradyn had expected to be covered in bits of broken wood and El's sound seem to confirm that he was doomed. But as he felt alright, he raised a brow. Either his entire nervous system shut down from pain, or things were ok. Lowering his arm from his face, he was amazed to see that the door was glowing. But as soon as he noticed this, it fell down to ashes to reveal a room that smelled gross and looked like an indoor pond. "What is this place?" He asked, as he was pureblood and rarely saw muggle things.
Stepping cautiously into the room, he looked around at each of the fountain statues, recognizing the figurines on top to have something to do with the houses. He was about to remark that perhaps they were significant when he noticed El by the hourglass, obviously reading something.
Bray's jaw dropped for a moment, and he had to forcibly shut it. "Wait... he expects us.. to go in that water?" He asked nervously, even thought he knew that was true. Rolling his eyes at El's little comment about animals, he thought it was rather out of line. Bray wasn't the best swimmer, but a plan for the buddy system was already being formed in his mind. Fay and Helana, Bray and El. Bray could fight the monsters off and keep the light under water, and El could prevent him from drowning while the other two could figure out their own system.
"Well see, El, you're a hufflepuff. Thus, no harm will come to you. If you started to drown, I wouldn't be surprised it a bunch of ninjas in black suits with "HUBBLES" printed across their chest jumped out of the ceiling tiles into the deep waters to save you." Shaking his head a little, he gently grabbed the parchment out of her hands and read it over a few times, trying to see if there were a hidden message of 'You don't have to swim Bradyn Reed.' but it seemed that wouldn't be the case.
Assuming his usual role of boss, he turned to his team with a smile. "Well, it seems that we'll be taking a dip, ladies!" He laughed a little at his own joke before continuing. "If any of you aren't strong swimmers, please tell me and we can make arrangements for you." He would start his plans all official-sounding, since it seemed to make it sound like you had competence. Thus far, his plans seemed to work rather well and Bray would like to keep his track record going.
"We'll be using the buddy system today, and I will tell you upfront that I am not the strongest swimmer. Our teams will be Myself and Ellie Rook, and Helena Martin and Felicity Locke. Any objections, no? Good." He gestured towards the pool. "This is the stragetgy I've put together for this room. By use of the buddy system, each member will have their wand out at all times. One will always keep their wand alight with Lumos and their job will be to look for the key. The other will keep their wand out and be prepared to fight off what ever is in these waters." Taking a breath after realizing he had said a lot, he glanced at El and said, although it must be unspoken knowledge, the obvious. "Ravenclaws will be the fighters, Hufflepuffs will be the seekers."
[Wow. Sorry for the length guys. I was in the zone, and I wanted us to move forward quickly. xD sorry I didn't really include Heidi, Liz, if you need to post on her you can assume that it was her job to watch the time?]

Ellie nodded. "Yup, well, you're going in I'm not sure if I'm..." She looked at him, a determination suddenly came over his face. Maybe it was because he was annoyed and just wanted to get it over with, or because he felt like her needed to protect her. Ellie was fine with this, might I add.
Ellie smiled and laughed. She could picture ninjas coming to save here, she wasn't sure if that was Hubbles style, but if it wasn't, it should be. Ellie wasn't worried about drowning, she was actually a rather good swimmer. However, she was worried about being eaten, or crushed, or squished by what ever was down there. However, seeing how brave Bray was being, she but on a smile a listened to him.
"Aye Aye Capitan." She said to Bray with a laugh. He was cute when he got all official. Ellie was taking deep breathes so that her lungs would be ready for the hold. "Seeker, perfect job for me." She said with a smile, but with a nervous edge to her voice. Ellie took off her robe and her shoes, she was sure they would drag her down. Ready to go, she grabbed Bray's hand tightly, half out of the need to feel protected and half because she just wanted to.

Felicity instinctively held her arms over her head, but was surprised when she wasn't hit with anything. She blinked and lowered her arms. Well, that was inexpected. Blasting things wins again!
"Told you I heard water."
Fay walked into the room behind El and stooped over her shoulder to read the parchment. Swimming, lovely. She was no marathon swimmer, but she could hold her own in the water. By the look on Bray's face, he was already calculating. There was some Ravenclaw in him after all!
Huh, the Buddy System, not a bad idea. But, what if El and Helena were not good swimmers? Then the whole seeking thing would go down the drain.
"Um, pardon me for interupting the High and Mighty Bradyn, but shouldn't the strongest swimmers be the ones seeking? Cuase that pool looks deep."
Wasn't that just common sense? All of them most likely knew basic spells to fend off some horrible beast, so it didn't matter if Claw or Puff.
"The protector should probably stay out of the water, so they can shoot spells and aim easier with an aerial view."
She noted El take hold of Bray's hand, and she had to stop herself from smiling. Oh the wonders of being a veela.
(Late post, but I've had Badminton practice all week ._.; Sorry D: )

Bradyn stuck his tongue out at Fay's little additions to his plan, and he would pretty much shoot down all of them. "Yeah, but a seeker would have to be more mobile as it's their job to search around the entire pool for the one key, whilst the protectors would just have to follow the seeker and keep what ever's down there off the both of them." Plus, it seemed he was the only one who couldn't swim well, so shouldn't they just follow his plan? And if he had to have his wand at lumos the whole time he was surrounded by something, with El as the one protecting him, Bray was pretty sure he'd die.
Then he glanced at El, who seemed thrilled to be the one seeking, since she was obviously good at that. "And I think that El would be crushed if I took such a position away from her. But if you want to be Seeker, and Helena can be protector, then whatever. Whoever is better at charms should be the one fighting things off, though."
Raising a brow as she mentioned that he should stay out of the water, he walked towards the edge of the pool and looked in. It was dark, and he could not see the bottom or whatever was in it either. "I would just love to be protected by someone who couldn't see me or what was attacking me. That's a lovely plan Fay!" Rolling his eyes, Bray tried not to grin when El grabbed his hand.
"So, I guess we ought to go in..." Bray said, and the nervousness seemed to return and he started to question the plan. Letting go of El's hand, much to his own dismay, he pulled off his school robes and shoes and left them by El's. If he wasn't the only guy on the team, he wouldn't taken his shirt off too but that would be awkward with Fay and El there.

[sorry I was away snowboarding for the weekend XD] Ellie bit her lip. The only reason she was actually agreeing to get in the water with whatever was in there was because she knew she had someone ready to hex the crap out of it if it got to near her. She shook her head and opened her mouth to disagree, but Bray beat her too it. She smiled, she was safe.
"Well, lets not waste time." Ellie said, feeling like she wanted to just jump in and get this over with. She undid her hair and tied it high up on her head so it would fall into her face. "I'll get the hour glass I guess." She said, trying to find something to do while Bray took off his robes and shoes. Ellie put her hand on the hour glass waiting for everyone to be ready. She was going to turn it and then jump into the pool.
"Ok, tell me when you're ready." She said, taking deep breathe, getting ready to hold a large one.

(Sorry D:! I totally forgot about this ._.
Felicity rolled her eyes at Bray and huffed. "Fiiinnneee. Just shoot Felicity down. Break her spirit. I see how it is." She crossed her arms over her chest and gave a little 'hmph'.
Fay stripped off her shoes and robe, much like the others, and tossed it into the pile. She bent over and pulled her hair up, out of her face. Swimming with hair in your face and the possibility of something that can eat you in the water were not good things.
"Alright Ellie, turn it."
The veela took a deep breath, and jumped off of the platform they stood on. She dove clean into the water, before popping back up with a small gasp of air.
(( I don't think Helena is going to join us again..so Ellie and Fay just seek then? ))

[ Don't get me started about it.... ] Ellie nodded and turned the hourglass over. Placing it down gentle, but quickly, the Hufflepuff took a deep breathe, then with a glance at Bray, she dove in.
The water was cold, but not so cold that it took Ellie's breathe away. She hoped Bray was following behind her, she couldn't tell. She opened her eyes and looked around. It was dark, but the light from a wand somewhere behind her was lighting her way. Ellie couldn't see the bottom. She blink a couple times. The water getting in her eyes was irritating them. She swam fast. She needed to get down to the bottom, her breathe was running out.
As a second thought, she wondered if she needed to us the bubble head charm or something, but she hoped that wasn't the case. She didn't think there was enough time for her to go back and figure the charm out. for now, she just swam, hoping to any god that whatever was down there would take a bite out of her.[ Do we Wait for Liz now? ]

As Bradyn realized the time for him to jump in would be now, his breath hitched in his chest and he almost felt like he was going to start hyperventilating. He was the last one on the platform, and if he didn't get in soon Fay and Ellie would start thinking that something dragged him off into the darkness. Oh geeze, why'd he have to scare himself more by thinking that? With his heart pounding loud enough that even he could hear it, Bray jumped in after Ellie but stayed near the top, pulling his wand back out of his pants pockets. "Shouldn't we do the bubblehead charm, guys? Since we don't know how much time we have." He asked, then looked around and realized Fay was the only one still on the top.
"Oh my goodness, where'd she go?!" He asked, quickly performing siad charm so that he could peek under the water with a little less fear of dying, and spotted her already heading towards the bottom. His eye twitched slightly in irritation, but he quickly swam after her and realized that he'd have to start counting the minutes she was under. 'On average, people can hold their breath for three minutes before they suffocate.. but I don't think they'll be conscious the whole time. Silly Ellie, making this more worrisome for me.' He thought frantically as soon as he'd caught up to her with his wand alight. At least with other people in 'trouble', he wasn't so worried about drowning himself for now.
