Naruto watched him make it disappear bewildered. 'Where exactly did it go? It has to go somewhere things don't just disappear off the plain of existance...' "Think of all the things we could get away with thanks to that spell! I like this teacher so you better not fall asleep!" Ramen cackled in glee. "Shut up Ramen! You know I can't help my chronic fatigue!" Naruto hissed at him. "Stop whining and practice you lazy brat." Ramen shot back. Naruto elbowed her bag particularly hard that time winding him. "Ev-nas-coo." She tired not using her wand since she knew that could not possibly be right. "Stop being an idiot! He said ‘ev-an-ES-ko' not 'ev-nas-coo' you dunce." Ramen hissed still gasping a bit. "You are one more insult away from waking up in the defense against the dark arts room!" She hissed back. "I'll be good." He squeaked remembering the horrible fiasco that he had to be rescued from in secret. "Ev-an-ES-ko..." She muttered trying it out first. "That's it! Try it!" He ordered excitedly. No more cleaning for him! "Evanesco." She said firmly pointing her wand at the mess. It worked and Ramen started his own variation of a happy dance since it meant he would not have to clean up after Naruto until summer.

With anticipation Dan looked on as Naruto practised the pronunciation of the words once again before attempting the magic. Dan felt a warmth sense of pride while watching the young Hufflepuff, this is one reason he enjoyed teaching, watching the progress of a student and joy and sense of achievement completing a spell could bring. His joy only increased when once again Naruto successfully complete the spell and with a small round of applause Dan walked back to the front of the room and sat down at his desk leaning back on his chair.
“Brilliant Miss Greene, you seem to have a knack for charms I think we can expect big things from you. Another ten points to Hufflepuff.”
He shot her a small smile hoping that he was not putting to much pressure on the young girl with his expectation. Just made Dan wish he would be there to see how she did progress over the years although he would always have the satisfaction that he was the one who taught her the basics and they were always the most important thing of all.
“Is there anything else you would like to learn, another other areas that interest you? Or would you like to call it a day and we can arrange something else when you have any other ideas. I do not mind either way.”

Naruto was silent for a moment contemplating her consciousness. She was becoming rather tired again as she usually does but she also did not want to stop. She liked charms and the professor was nice. Then again she could also feel herself nodding off again and it would be rather embarrassing if she fell asleep in the middle of a spell. Ramen remained silent knowing that his friend was becoming tired. He knew he should tell her to stop and take a nap or she would pass out at a very inconvenient time but he knew she was also stubborn and would do what she wanted despite anything he said. He waited for her to announce what her decision. "I just want to know one more charm and then we could call it a day." Naruto announced holding back all exhaustion from her voice. "Naruto..." Ramen said in a warning tone. "Just one more. It can be anything you suggest Professor." Naruto continued talking partially to Ramen and to Professor Hubbles.

Dan raised an eyebrow as she asked if he wanted to pick some spells for her to try, he felt slightly privileged although his mind suddenly came to a blank of what spell he could actually teach her. Stroking his stubble Dan watched as the girl kept looking at her bag, and whisper to it and this gave him an idea of what he could do. She seemed to be arguing with the creature she had inside there are he knew from experience of smuggling something around with him silence was vital.
“Do you know the silencing charms? They can be very useful when you are trying to…er…hide something.” His gaze passed over the rucksack and he could not help but grin at the young Hufflepuff.
“Silencio is fifth year magic but we can give it a go. The pronunciation of the spell is si-LEN-see-oh….also there is the Muffliato charm but I think we shall just focus on Silencio for now…try Muffliato on some people in the commonroom.”
Dan shot Naruto a playful wink and sat down on his desk and folded his arms waiting for the Hufflepuff to practise the spell.

"Silencing?" Naruto asked in surprise her eyes widening. A grin stretched across her face all previous exhaustion forgotten. "Don't you dare!" Ramen hissed at her in dread. Naruto completely ignored him pushing her orange bangs out of her face her scars becoming more visible. "Si-LEN-see-oh." She said perfectly without actually casting the spell at first just to make sure she wouldn't blow up her friend, sure he was a pain but she still loved him very much. She knew that the spell would work and pointed it at her still ranting friend. "Naruto Shikamaru Greene! Don't you dare! You need me!" Ramen squeaked making it sound like she was about to kill him. She rolled her eyes at him. "I'll take it off later stupid. Now, Silencio." She said casting the spell on her friend. She knew it worked when she couldn't hear him screaming at her and her grin grew a bit more. "Best spell ever to exist." She complimented looking up at Professor Hubbles. He was officially her favorite teacher.

Dan could not help but chuckle as Naruto pointed her wand at her bag, he sat back on his desk and watched with amusement as just like before she practiced saying the spell first and then, he guessed, cast the spell on the creature inside. It was only when she turned to look at him grinning he knew she had done it.
“That spell does have its uses.” Dan grinned back at her, she was a very quick learner and looked forward to teaching her more complex spells in the years to come. “I guess it worked then? No more annoying come backs from the little guy? Well I guess I can safely award Hufflepuff a few more points”
Dan grinned and walked around to the side of his desk that was filled with draws and started to rummage around inside. After a moment or two he found what he was looking for, a pocket sized notebook which changed colour in the light as you moved it. With a soft chuckle Dan approached Naruto and placed it on the desk in front of her.
“This is for you…every time you find yourself in a situation and you wish you knew a charm to get out of it write it down. The next time we have another lesson we shall go through the list and come up with the best spells to help you out.”
Dan felt a sense of pride in the Hufflepuff, like he did with most of his house that were particularly good at his subject.
“Now run along and have a nice evening…do not get into too much trouble.”

Naruto was surprised that Professor Hubbles did not get mad at her for having a boggart in her bag. She knew it was probably because he didn't know it was a boggart so she just grinned and hugged the notebook to her chest. "Thank you Professor! I'll be sure to use it." Naruto assured him absolutely certain she would. After all it was such a nice notebook and not many people had ever given her anything before. Just the odd snack every now and then but nothing she could keep for a long time after. She would be sure to keep it with her at all times like the bag Ramen lived in. "I'll see you some other time then. Bye!" She got up and left a huge smile on her face. Who knew people could be so kind?
