Though it was cold throughout the school, the dungeons were colder. Especially at night. Even with this in mind, Shay had left his warm bed back in the Slytherin Common rooms, and decided to take a midnight walk, but careful not to be caught by prefects. Sticking his hands in his pockets for warmth, and to get a could grip on his wand in case he would encounter a prefect or something along those lines, he began his walk about the dungeons.
Shay could hear the slight sound of his footsteps, as he proceeded on with his after-hours walk. Night was his favorite time of the day. It was full of secrets, basically.
Walking through the dungeons, he could swear he heard something like someone else, which caused him to tense up. A prefect? A teacher? Another person? He ruled it as if he was hearing things. He was out, when he should be sleeping. Blinking, Shay could tell he had a little trouble opening his eyes again. Which he basically made it official that he was hearing things.
Rounding the corner, he saw a figure at the end of the dungeon corridor. Panic struck him. He feared it was a prefect, or someone who would turn him in to the prefects. Though, he simply stood there, not moving. Probably to make sure it was a prefect before taking off in a dash.

It seemed like forever since Alexis had had a decent nights sleep, though it wasnt showing on her face, she just usually found herself wandering the corridors late at night for absolutly no reason whatsoever. And tonight, like many nights before, it was freezing. Thankfully Alexis had been smart and wrapped up warmly, though she could still feel the chill bit of the cold in the dungeons.
There were many secrets surrounding Hogwarts, many unknown ones too and Alexis wanted to find out as many as she could before she left. Luckily she still had plenty of a way to go, unlike her brother who she constantly teased for becoming old. Wonder when he will go grey? she found herself thinking, and smiled at the thought she knew Mark would kill her for thinking.
Alexis was walking with a finger on her chin and one arm folded acoss her chest as if in deep thought, not really giving much of anything as she walked. She didnt bother about anyone else being out tonight, she had run into plenty of Prefects tonight as it was and only stood to argue for a few minutes before leaving them once more and carrying on. It seemed as though Lex didnt care for the rules. Well, she didnt.
Alexis walked further up the corridor, not aware that someone was stood there. She only realised this when she finally came out of her daze and looked up. She recognised him from somewhere, and somehow knew he wasnt a prefect, Alexis raised an eyebrow, "Your staring at... what?" she asked looking around in mock as if someone else was there too.

"Oh, would you just shut up.." Polaris sneered while burying her head in the pillows. The phone that was previously ringing, now was on the other side of the room with the batter pack dismembered. Unfortunately for her, when her friends couldn't sleep, neither should she. With a heavy sigh, Polaris sat up in bed, still groggy. Slipping on her shoes loosely along with her cloak, she never bothered to chage out of her pajamas, feeling way too comfy to care what she looked like.
With eyes still half lidded, Polaris took to the dungeons where her friend had mentioned before hand. All her friend could keep saying was how her other friend, a second year, always had an obsession with the dungeons and being places where she shouldn't be. Why is this my problem, I just wanted some damned sleep...Always having to save the day..
Upon hearing a few voices, Polaris was still a bit out of it as two figures entered her shrouded eyesight. Blinking a few times to clear her vision, she looked at what looked to be two Slytherins with a very disheveled expression and wild hair along with two shimmering, bi-coloured eyes that were illuminated by torch-light.
Standing just far enough away to still be somewhat still enveloped by the shadows, Polaris shuffled a few steps forward as she spoke softly while mumbling. "Hey..seen you a second year..?" Her accent didn't help at the time since it came out more along the lines of "'Ey..zeen jou a zecond jear?"'.

Yet another midnight hunger had woken Jac from sleep and she had spent most of her evening in the Kitchen. It was by far her favourite place to be as the house elves were always excited to see her and feed her as much as she could eat, and sometimes a little more. She had managed to get decent food tonight, sausage, bacon, eggs, along with some jelly. She had rediscovered how much she loved the stuff and one of the house elves had started making it for her especially because she could eat a whole bowl of the stuff by herself.
Feeling full, Jac left the Kitchen and made her way down the dark corridor. It was so fascinating to her to see the school empty but her recent self-tutoring while she was supposed to be in a class had meant she saw many empty corridors. The stillness got to her though. She didn't like the eerie quiet. At least during the day she could hear other students in classes that she wasn't in. She pulled out her wand and lit the end after tripping over yet again.
Ahead of her three students could be seen, sort of. Just in case they were prefects Jac changed her appearance so she looked like the tall and slim Prof O'Donnell. She didn't feel like doing the usual Prof Vance as he took far too much energy and she was too tired for it now. Jac approached the three quickly, as she had seen O'Donnell do many times and said in the best imitation of the woman she could, "shouldn't you lot be in bed?" It was the perfect question. If they were prefects they would explain that they weren't and if they freaked out she knew she was safe.
