Since her Father had attended Durmstrang, her name had been put on they’re list. They decided was made that Anna would live with a sponsor Wizarding family in Russia for the duration of her schooling. After completing her years at Durmstrang, Anna decided to stay in Russia. Soon she met Denny, a Wizarding Relations Ministry Employee working to represent England. They fell in love and were married. They moved England, setting up house in a wizarding village. to Anna remained close to her adoptive parents, spending a good portion of each summer at their house on the outskirts of Ireland.
Personal history: Nora Lee was born a daredevil. In her first few minutes, she tried setting the world record for holding her breath. Those ignorant doctors though she was choking and ruined her chances.
Nora grew into a toddler. She had a pretty smile, but a bad knack for getting into anything and everything. Her mother tried scolding her, and told her ‘no!’ Nora would smile and scream ‘Yes!’ happily and dive back into what ever she was doing. As she grew older, she learned to shrug off pain. Soon, she hardly ever cried.
Nora traveled to Ireland every summer with her mother. There she stayed with her grandparents, and tested the muggle life. She found the life very boring, and got into all sorts of trouble with the neighborhood boys. They teased her, calling her silly names like ‘shorty’ and ‘midget’. Nora threatened to turn them all into chickens with her mother’s wand. The boys usually just laughed at the silly, pretend threat. Magic wasn’t real after all.
Nora was very close with her Poppy though. She would spend the wet evenings sitting by the calm fire, reading old Gaelic stories on his lap. He would never read to her, but helped her when she struggled. Nora learned Irish this way, reading stories of Irish folklore. She loved her Poppy, and could tell him everything. He understood her, and he was Nora’s best friend.
At eleven, Nora head off to Hogwarts. She made friends the first few months by being herself. The other students seemed to like her and enjoy her company. Nora didn’t lose her temper at all, until…
Nora couldn’t help but notice the older, or even taller students had a habit of calling her a cute little girl and patting her on the head. Their minds changed when a third year boy ran out of an empty classroom crying. Nora had overheard him making fun of her toad. She hadn’t done anything horrible to him. She had just glued all his fingers together.
Nora came back to school excited for the new year. She had earned her respect the year before and was fairly known through out her house. Some people just didn’t learn though. A fifth year girl had told Nora that she should join the circus for they were short on midgets. Nora got very quiet. The girl laughed and dared her to do something, saying she wouldn’t do anything. No one tells Nora what she is capable of and what she’s not. In the end, it took two week for the blue to fade back to the fifth year’s normal skin tone.
For the rest of the year, the students were pleasant to Nora, but made sure they didn’t say anything wrong to her. The conversations were hurried and no one wanted to get very involved with the girl. Needless to say, Nora looked forward to her trip to her grandparents even more that year.
Nora came back the Hogwarts fresh. She had put the year before behind her. She focused on making friends, and went though a good lot of them. Soon, she settled with friendly acquaintances, having to deal without a best friend.
During the year, Nora decided that she would start a new class. Her mother told her about the classes at Durmstrang and how she loved her Dark Arts classes. Nora had always excelled at Defense Against the Dark Arts, so she was curious. Nora walked into Dark Arts to snickers and laughs of doubt. In her first day, Nora set out to shove it all back in their faces. They covered dueling. Matched with a tall and gangly sixth year, Nora saw the smirks on her classmates’ faces. Within five minutes, the match was over and all 4’8’’ of Dana walked away smirking.
Slowly, her classmates were getting the idea that she was more than what meets the eye.
