It was a pretty fair evening for a nice walk up to the Astronomy tower, there wasn't anything to do and all the work she had to complete was finished before she normally was on daily basis. The whole reason she was planning to go to the Astronomy Tower; was because Dan had mentioned it being a better view of the grounds. It would be perfect; seeing that it was just before the sun began to set upon the horizon. Carrieanne loved sunsets, they were peaceful and very colorful. For some reason it would always set the right mood for her, whether her day was good or even not so good. Archi had gone down for dinner with the other staff members and she made mention that she was probably going to be late getting to dinner so that he wouldn't worry about her too much. Of course little did she know she was going to get done early either.
Glancing out of her window as she stood up from her desk, she stepped back and pushed the chair in, feeling the suns warm rays caress her skin which felt so good to her being that her cheeks were fairly cool. Before she turned on her heel to walk out of the office, she glanced over at Archi's desk and smiled thinking about the little dinner they had in the kitchen last night. It was nice having a peaceful dinner with her good friend and co-worker at that. As she turned and headed for the door, she glanced back like she ususually did to make sure she didn't leave anything behind. Thankfully she was pretty good about remembering things, so she turned back and stepped into the hallway and shut the door locking it. Today she had decided to wear a white blouse with a knee length navy blue skirt and jacket that came as a set.
Her hair was up in curls and held in place by a barrett; so that it stayed out of her face while she worked. Every time she walked, she could feel her hair bouncing upon her shoulders and tapping against her back. So here she was making her way down the corridor and turned left to get to the stair cases, instead of going down this time, she walked over to the one that was leading up to the next floor. Going up the stairs a step at a time, her hand swayed by her side while she thought about seeing the sun setting from the tower. It had to be the most beautiful sight that she would ever see, at least for today anyway. Making it to the top of the stairs, she turned and went up another flight of stairs. The thought of her dinner with Archi had set things to a different level between them, but they were still friends and even closer than they were before.
Reaching the top level of the the school, Carrieanne walked slowly down the long corridor before coming to the Astronomy tower door. It was a big oak door much like the ones around the school, so it wasn't anything special. Placing her hand upon the door knob, she gave it a slight turn and then pushed it open only to be blinded by the sunlight shining through the room. Quickly she placed her arm up to shield her eyes so that she could see to get in, Carrieanne entered the tower allowing her eyes to adjust to the setting of the sight before her. Letting her arm back down after a few minutes, she walked over to the window and was taken aback as well as gasped as she saw the gorgeous scenery below her. "Oh it's amazing." she smiled widely and with the inability to wipe the smile off her face.
Leaning her body against the windowsil as she rested herself on her arms, she looked around watching the students walking around below and the sparkling of the lake caught her attention even quicker. A sigh escaped her lips as she stared out at the mass of water and beyond the horizon.
