Times had changed and the students were far stupider than they were five years ago. Jerred stood and looked out a grand window overlooking the large field that eventually led to the lake. He saw the sun shimmering down brightly upon it, casting the glowing effect to wherever the suns rays could reach. He watched as hundreds of students lazily went about their day and each one of them thought they were special, each one trying to be a hero like Harry Potter or a prankster like the fabled Weasly Twins. All of them failed flatly.
He was a prankster, an upright citizen who stood up for himself, a person that could change from a childish prankster to a mature adult within the blink of an eye. Lately, he had been the latter. His circumstances had changed and with it, a begrudging effort not to kick the hell out of all the students who thought they were special.
He rolled his eyes, knowing that several students off fled into the forest just because they could. He would go, kick them back to the school just because he didn't want them, or their parents getting killed secretly. Though they kept going.
The students were naive of the war that was going on, well, the better part of them. He knew that the students knew of thw war between the RRL, the Rogues and the Ministry. He had seen the casualties of the war in the entrance hall to the school, where bodies had lay, some merely wounded and some dead. He knew that the Rogues were attracting attention on, big attention and that's why Hogsmeades citizenry had risen to epic proportions in recent months. Whatever the Ministry was doing inside of the forest now, it wasn't good.
So, now Jerred found himself watching the school, arms crossed with a dull look on his face. He now realised he had grown up into the man he was meant to become, though he could still drop himself down into the depths of pranksterhood, but he couldn't be bothered half the time now.
