I already have a few lessons planned, too. I'm so excited.
I hope DADA is still open, I did see it on the list without a strike though it. If it isn't I suppose I could change to History of Magic, though I was set on getting Defense Against the Dark arts.

The Character

Name: Caroline Maria Croll (pronounced Crawl)

Job Title: Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher (Professor Croll)
Age: 25
Blood: Pure
Wand: Crafted with bloodwood, its 10" long, with a core of fire crab shell. ( see here ) There are many faint black speckles, populated mostly around the base. They're fewer and more sparse closer to the tip. It has a slightly sparkly tinge to it, once hit with light.

Personality: Caroline will be, or is, one of the most awesome professors at Hogwarts. By giving her students respect, she expects it be returned. Not terribly strict, she knows how to keep order and will only dock points as a last resort. Her lesson plans are fun and imaginitive, while still very educational. Overall, Caroline is pleasant to be around, still a bit of a kid at heart. She wont hesitate to get up from her seat at a dance and boogie it with the young'uns, seeing as she doesn't consider herself that old. Like the other creepy adults teaching, she knows everybody's names, picking that talent up from being popular way back when. Despite being unafraid to get muddy, Caroline will never be seen without wearing at least a bit of makeup. Unlike more than a few of the faculty members, she doesn't have an extreme bias, but tends to empathize with Slytherins. She knows how difficult it is to be hit with prejudice your entire life, being a Slytherin herself when she was a kid.

Caroline loves dancing, especially the old-timer jive and a few other pulse-quickening moves. ( Think the stuff in the movie Grease, folks. ) She doesn't mind being single at all. All her students know that she isn't one for getting angry quickly, but is still tough enough that people know not to play around with her. Graceful, she has a sharp tongue and a quick wit, trademarks from her house she retained after all these years. But mostly shes kind and creative. Caroline's lessons involve everybody, and she does things no one would think of doing.

Appearance: Caroline has long, dirty-blonde hair, vastly highlighted with various shades of honey, gold, and blonde. Fair skinned, she stands at around 5"9. She has long fingernails often painted deep crimson. Her natural beauty outweighs anything makeup could create, so she enhances her eyes with pale pink eyeshadows and a few other colors. More muscular than delicate, she'll challenge her students to an arm wrestling contest if they think they're all that. She has a nicely-preserved tattoo on her right shoulder blade. (see here, only the wolf is black and gray, and the wind marks around it are a deep green.)

History: Brought up and trained by two very talented aurors - her parents, now deceased - Caroline had the experiance but lacked the will to become an auror. She was too connected to Hogwarts and to wrapped up in the idea of becoming a professor there someday. She had spent most of her teenage life at that school, a very talented Slytherin who understood the hardships of being in that house but remained positive about it. She was a laugh to be around, even the students in other houses thought so. Unlike her fellow Slytherins, Caroline wasn't filthy rich, but instead more of a middle class girl. She managed fine and wasn't bothered about it, so it was never a problem for her. She always wanted to teach, and looked up to the head of Slytherin house with pride. It was also noted that Caroline got along extremely well with animals, having many pets.

Though never marrying, Caroline was engaged for a year to a rather charming young man. But eventually she decided she didn't love him, and ended it long before the wedding was schedualed. They never got in touch after that. Her sister jokingly called her a heartbreaker, the very thing she didn't want to come off as. Her parents died in a very unfortunate explosion after they were sent to investigate someone stirring up trouble in the muggle world. Caroline was 20 at the time, and still misses them. The subject isn't a touchy one, however. Focusing her attention now at joining the Hogwarts staff, she applied to be a teacher.
