The Character
Name:Daphne Nocturna Levski
Nicknames (if any):Daffi
Age & Year:Fifteen; year five
Blood:Pure blood
Wand:Nine inch, Lignum Vitae, core of dragon heartstring
Personality:What she lacks in athleticism, Daphne compensates for in wit and intellect. Since her youth, she has gained the attention of both relatives and strangers alike with a sharp tongue and an even sharper quill. While her dry, usually off-handed remarks have secured her more than a few enemies, a loyal fan base [and perhaps the foreboding influence of a family consisting entirely of Slytherins,] eliminate most potential threats. The brazen few who choose to ignore these elements, she can easily out-maneuver with the assistance of persuasive speech.
Daphne does not allow herself to be governed by a prominent Slytherin heritage, though it is evident that her attempts to detach herself entirely from the house have failed somewhat. She demonstrates skillful cunning and, though it is masterfully subdued, strong ambition.
Her primary fault involves trust, as she has trouble discerning with whom to place it. As a result, she habitually follows any authoritative figure and will blindly obey orders.
Daphne is adept socially, and has a knack for initiating friendships using only a few, well-worded jokes. She is nice to a certain extent, though not known for being gregarious or particularly compassionate.
Appearance:

Unlike her Mother, who prior to an unfortunately early retirement played chaser for a minor Quidditch team, Daphne appears barely [if at all,] capable of athletic performance. She is small for her age [skimming barely above 5’2”.] Too light to navigate with any efficiency on a broomstick [at one-hundred-two pounds she just escapes what one might consider malnourished.] And, with her thin limbs and rather narrow waist, too frail to withstand repeated Bludger impact. While her petite stature might be the envy of some, Daphne considers it to be the bane of her existence. Having brought much unhappiness to her [aforementioned,] athletically inclined Mother.
Daphne’s glossy, black hair falls just below her shoulders with a sort of limp dejection not usual among things inanimate. The contrast occurring between this darkness, and the pale complexion of her skin is striking, not to mention a near perfect likeliness to some portraits depicting deceased, though regularly talked about, Slytherin relatives, [disregarding eyes of blue and green, flecked with muted undertones of gold, rather than penetrating black.]
Her smile is slightly crooked, a nerve on the left corner having been fried during infancy. The lopsided result furthers her quick-witted, humorous influence.
History: Daphne’s childhood was relatively normal, her parentage including a respectable Ministry worker descended from a long line of Slytherins [Jonathon Levski] and a retired French Quidditch player unfamiliar with Hogwarts and it’s many customs [June Levski.] Daphne was raised on an income situated comfortably between the two commons, these being barely any financial support and rich to the point of frivolity. As a result she has developed a sort of level-headedness when it comes to personal possession.
Contrary to the beliefs of most, Daphne’s father, a Syltherin himself, is not particularly concerned with in which house his daughter is placed [nor is her mother, for that matter,] alleviating much of the stress that accompanies a child of single-house lineage. This however, goes unsaid for other family members who may or may not harbor an oh-so-unexpected preference for the dark house.
