(Corridors) A Leisurely Patrol

[Max Hennerdale]

Maxi sighed as he walked through the corridors at night. Being a prefect wasnt all it was cracked upto be. Sure there were things you could do as a prefect that you couldnt as a normal student but still, Maxi found it rather tireing. What with all the late night patrols, and then the early morning starts, not mentioning all those boring meetings they had to have. Its a wonder nobody was asking him to write reports just yet. Well whatever the case, he was a prefect, and he would have to deal with it.

The air inside the castle was cold, and it was dark, lit only by the tip of his wand. In all honesty he could be anybody, but he wasnt. He was a normal sixth year student doing normal studies and being happy with his boyfriend. Whom, he had not yet seen upon his arrival back. Though he hoped he wouldnt be out tonight, Maxi knew as his position, he would have to send Ash straight back to his common room. Then if he refused, he would have to take points, and if he refused again, he would be taking points and throwing him in detention, and he did not want to do that.

Ashton strolled along down the corridors making as little noise as possible, he knew it was way past curfew and if he got caught by a prefect or teacher, he'd be in trouble. Just as he was thinking about this, he saw what looked like a student walkng in his direction, and there was only one reason a student would have legitimate reason to roam the corridors after midnight... Crap! A prefect! Ashton panicked slightly and started to hide himself within the shadows, then he figured he might as well show himself. He'd probably end up getting caught anyway. Stepping forward in to the prefect's range of view, Ashton was surprised to see, "Maxi? What are you doing out?"

"What am i doing out?" Maxi questioned back, "Ash im a prefect its my job to be out making sure anyone who isnt a prefect isnt out" Maxi had hoped beyond all belief that he wouldnt run into Ashton tonight, he knew he would have to either send him back to his common room, take points or give him a detention, one thing he hoped he would never have to do. Maxi sighed, "Ashton, im going to have to tell you to return to your common room, i really dont want to have to take points off you or give you a detention"

Ashton sighed. "I know, sorry I couldn't sleep." he grinned at Maxi, "Can I have a goodnight kiss first?"

Maxi sighed, "Yeah, okay" he gave Ashton a kiss goodnight and told him he had to go back to his common room now.

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ash smiled when Maxi kissed him. "Okay, see you at breakfast tomorrow." With one last smile, he turned and took a shortcut back to the Ravenclaw common room.

"Yeah sure" Maxi said as he walked off in the opposite direction to Ashton, thinking that it went quite well and thanked his lucky stars he didnt have to put him in detention
