The Character

Name: Fern Crowsley

Age & Year: Sixteen; Fifth year
Blood: Pure blood
Wand: Twelve inches exactly, bloodwood, core contains hair from the mane of a particularly brazen female unicorn. Best suited for charmwork.

Personality: Fern's amiable negligence of established rule has made her a distinguished character amongst the fifth year class. She ignores instructions out of amusement and will often let slip facts regarding a teachers love-life. Her actions are not motivated by spite or hatred, but rather a keen fixation on how far she is able to push the envelope.
Curious to a fault, Fern is the type to pursue an idea until she has fully satisfied the yearning of her mind. She can be quick to act and will occasionally do so without any prior calculation, but is kind and brave nonetheless.
Fern has developed a sort of paranoia when it comes to the adult male, possibly a consequence of too many muggle radio-mysteries involing male perpetrators committing most gruesome acts.

History: Fern is a witch born of a witch mother and wizard father, both of whom involved in the healing practice. Having experienced through their proffession much trauma, Fern's parents exercise caution in the activities they allow their daughter to participate in. She has therefore been raised in a, what can gently be referred to as "Sterelized" enviroment. One might speculate that Fern's current tawdry attitude can be tracred to the many guidelines her parents have constituted- it being the only real thing she demonstrates full control over.
Fern's parents were both of Ravenclaw, making intelligence a prominent characteristic in the Crowsley household. While Fern doesn't demonstrate the same intellectual capacity as her mother or father, many a courageous exploration have made her more street-wise than the typical sixteen year old.
