((This is open to anyone, so yeah... whoever wants to reply.))
Emerging from the shadows like a swan gliding to a rest on the water, Morziak opened his eyes, the world around him lighting itself to his presence. His emergence masked the time for when he was needed, a powerful influence ebbing away at the back of his mind.
His new body was frigid and cold from weeks of unuse, but in the cold of the darkness it was preserved until he needed it again. The flowing of the blood, the movement of every muscle fibre filled him and his dark heart with an intense glee for he knew that this body was the conductor for his sinister dark powers.
He stepped forward, the feeling of movement new to him. He smiled, the creases of his skin on his face ebbing away at a invisible layer of frost that had come over him. He shook his head, his white blond hair, hanging well past his shoulders now, moved like a strand of grasss in the smooth wind of spring to come. He chuckled to himself as he began his ascension towards the surface, any being that was stupid enough to get in his way would pay dearly for their interference in his plans.
Morziak emerged into the corridors of the school, a glint of glee on his face as he felt the life forces of each of the students around him. The students brushed past him briskly, their litttle faces red or as white as a ghost. His eyes lingered on several of the students with weaker life forces that he felt, his smile growing ever wider.
Morziak had already claimed one life force to feed his plans, that soul belonging to the late DADA Professor, Addis. He felt the presence of the dead man inside of his mind, the only side effect of the absorption that was needed to obtain the life forces. The drumming of Addis inside of his mind created a tense look on Morziaks face, that when he opened his eyes he saw a person standing before him, his eyes narrowing at the suspicious expression of the persons face.
'Help me!' A voice shouted from his lips, not his own voice, but that of another. He raised his hand to his mouth, and laughed merrily. Morziak spoke in his own voice, 'I apologise for that, but how can I be of assistance?' He eyed the person carefully, waiting for a response.
He would have to soon erect a mind barrier to prevent the absorbed life forces from temporarily gaining momentary control. He knew he would have to do soon before garnering more souls.

Mort stood staring at the unknown man. The mans gaze intensified and Mort shuddered. He stood there for what seemed like hours before he finally said, "Who are you, and what are you doing in this school?" Mort felt a fool, full aware of the fact that the man was bigger than him. Mort gulped and gripped his wand tightly thinking of what spell to use if the need arose. Something about the man didnt seem right. And what did he need help with? Mort gulped again.

Morziaks eyes glowed brightly, flaring to reveal his anger. His composure however had remained in tact, with a calm smiling spreading across the once frozen lips.
'Questions, questions, questions... Why does every student ask me who I am?' Morziak said, folding his arm and running his fingers across his pointy chin. He smiled, looked at the student and bowed. 'I am Morziak, nothing more, nothing less. What I have to do with the school? Haha... I am one with it.'
His last words were not false, but not true either. A thought quickly ran through his mind, an excited tingling sensation running up and down his back. 'You would do well to help me out, Mort.' Morziak said, continuing. He reached over Mort's head, his power flowing through his hand. A dark shade ran from his hand, running over the students body, the darkness swelling quickly into the eye being of the student. Soon he released the student from the dark magic hold he had, everything he wanted to know still incomplete, but the progress much farther along.
'Thank you, now run along and play nice with the other students.' Morziak said, sighing.

Loren stared at Mort and the stranger with wide eyes from a classroom door. She had sneaked into the room while there was no lesson on so that she could practice her transfigurations of quills into feathered hats, and she had decided to finish early when her stomach began to grumble hungrily. She had not expected to find a man working strange, elaborate hand movements around Mort's head of course, and was now observing them awkwardly. It spooked her how the Slytherin's eyes were so glazed over.
'Hello, er, Mort. Fancy walking with me to dinner? I know it's late, but it still might be on...' Loren asked a little uneasily as she walked up to the two. She really did not know Mort at all, but thought he might appreciate being drawn away from the bizarre man. Loren juggled around with theories in her head and decided he could be either a ministry official or a new professor. 'Are you not going to eat too, sir?' She asked carefully, looking at the tall man. He had very sharp, cold eyes, and his skin was so pale it appeared to glow in the dimness of the corridor. Not even the firelight of the torches seemed to go near him. Loren found it all quite hypnotic.

((Welcome to Morziak ;D Dark Figure and consumer of souls for his plan! )) Morziak smiled at the Ravenclaw girl, reading her thoughts through her eyes. 'I do not require sustenance at this time.' Morziak said, bowing his head slightly and smiling. 'But thank you for asking anyway. Mort, you may go now and once again I thank you for your help.' With a cold smile, Morziak turned, raised his hand in the direction of the Great Hall. 'Go and eat before the food goes cold, I know what it's like to eat Shephards Pie if it's not at least room temperature.' Morziaks eyes ran over the girl, the thoughts of her consuming her soul to add to the strength to his plan was all too endearing. He fought the urge to steal her into the shadows at that moment, the energy required flowing to his hand quickly as he forced himself to control it. A voice rang through his head, one he knew all too well... Take it and then see what'll happen to you! The voice spoke, the hate reflected only in the tone. You can't get everyone you need, Morziak, I feel that you will need dozens and before you collect enough souls for the energy you require, you'll be stopped!Morziak laughed to himself at the thought of Addis speaking to him. Just because you can communicate with me, mortal, you can strive to change my plans? How foolish of you, Addis. Morziak replied with, laughter raining afterwards. Morziak, the more time you spend with humans, the more you become one yourself! I can see into your memories and I remember that time down at the lake, yes, you had human thoughts, about love and caring. The more time you spend talking with me, I can feel it! Addis said, his tone searing through Morziak. 'Argh!' Morziak cried, a sudden searing pain rushing through him. He placed his hand on his forehead, the pounding pain too much for him, as he stumbled back and leant against the wall. He opened his eyes and saw the two students still standing there. 'Go now, I'll be just fine!'

(( He looks really interesting - you should RP with him more! ))
'Sustinance...?' Loren mouthed. She had never heard anyone talk that way before. She did not know whether to find it endearing or disturbing.
Her mind was made up for her however when the man suddenly burst into deep laughter, almost immediately crying out in some unexplained bout of pain only a moment later. He stumbled against the wall, trying to regain himself, and urged Loren and Mort to leave. Realising her fingernails were digging into Mort's upper arm mercilessly, she let him go and cleared her throat, a worrisome grimace on her face.
'Perhaps you should go to see the healer in the hospital wing, sir?' Loren took a step forward, her arms slightly raised in a meek offer at help. She dearly wished she could turn and go, but felt it would be impolite to leave him in so much pain...

(( I should. I made Amy fall in love with him, lol.))
'No assistance is required.' Morziak said, the inhuman pain intolerable, only melding into the shadows would help alleviate it. Morziak opened an eye and stared at the girl. 'I will be fine, now go.' Morziak pushed himself off the wall, turned and walked away, following the corridor down towards a dark, shady place.
He hid himself in the darkness, focusing his thoughts on melding with the shadows. Whats once was easy, he now found difficult. Could the consumed fool be right? Morziak denied himself the answer, before swallowing himself into the darkness, before anyone could find him.

Loren drew back her hand as the man whisked himself away up the corridor, seemingly disappearing entirely into the darkness. She stood still for a few moments, staring about with a confused and startled expression. Eventually she turned to Mort. 'Are you alright?' She asked with genuine concern. 'What on earth was he doing to you?'

"Yeah I'm fine." Mort said watching the strange man walk away. "So wanna head to dinner?" Mort asked regrouping.

Loren frowned slightly at the Slytherin. 'Are you not bothered about that man? All that weird stuff he said?' Loren wondered if whatever the stranger had done to Mort's head had anything to do with his bizarre calmness. She began to walk slowly with him, her hunger having long been replaced by worry.
