One'o'clock on the dot. Mafelda thought briskly, closing her copy of the Daily Prophet and tossing it in the rubbish bin. She opened the door which led from her office to the classroom and was almost surprised that all six desks were filled. "Prompt, I appreciate that," said the woman, her icy voice slicing the silence which had fallen over the room at her presence. "I assume you all know each other, and those that don't, well it doesn't matter anyways. This is not a social club, it is not a party, this an exceptionally advanced magic class and I expect all of you to treat it with the respect it is due. Unlike many of your other Professors, I have no quams punishing you."
Her emotionless gaze pierced each student individually as a cold smirk turned up one croner of her mouth. "I know some of you have... experience with this subject," her eyes marked Miss Hubbles and Mister Rivas in the group, "I know that some of you will catch on fast," and it was Miss Black who caught her eye. "I also know that most of you are only here because you think being an Animagus would be 'cool' or 'fun'..." she cringed as she spoke the vile words. "But I'm here to tell you that before you can enjoy being an Animagus at all you must understand exactly what it is." She paused, letting this statement sink in for a moment before she continued, "Now then Miss Hubbles, would you be so kind as to tell us what you know about Animagi?" it was clear that the question was rhetorical.
[Sorry for god moding, everybody. I just thought this would be the fastest way to get the class going.]

Nerves were not something Girty got anymore while sitting in a lesson. She had been doing it for long enough so it was a nice change to be looking forward to the unexpected that this lesson may hold. As the small class sat in silence Girty looked around nervously wondering if anyone else was feeling as tense as her. Running her tongue over her dry lips Girty gave a small jump of surprise as the harsh voice of their professor sounded out and she appeared out of her office. Girty could feel her gaze upon at certain points and she could not help but glare back. This one was going to be a hard nut to crack.
Fiddling with a lose bit of thread on her robe Girty was suddenly woken up from her thoughts when the professor had straight away put her on the spot. Letting the thread fall from her figures Girty looked back at the woman and gave a weak smile. It was a difficult question to answer, there were so many aspects to transformation and it was different for everyone, if she knew she would not be here. Resisting the urge to give a cheeky response and risk the chance of losing Hufflepuff points before the lesson had even started Girty’s more sensible side took over as she tried to string together a response that would be reasonably coherent.
“Well as any text book would tell you an Animguis is a person who can change into animal form at their own will. It is a strong form of magic and although the basics are supposedly the same it is highly different from Transfiguration or any other darker forms of humans turning into animals. Once a person has found their ‘inner creature’ to use such a saying, there is no way of changing from it, you will remain as that one creature every time you transform. I do not know much about the transformation stage of it all, only the theory behind it.’
Girty decide to end her ramble there. There was no point going on for a long time about things that they would clearly learn in the lesson. No matter how much she loved looking like she knew all the answers she was slightly worried about the professor and she wanted to get to grips with her before, learn her limits before starting to push the boundaries.

Mafelda tutted her disapproval as if to say 'Stop playing dumb', but this was not noticed by most students as she quickly continued speaking, "Correct, Miss Hubbles, no matter how truly blasé that answer was..." she decided this would be a good time to further introduce her character to her students, as well as give some incentive. "Now, I know you children are high-strung about your... House Points, and Cups and things. Personally, I think they're a stupid waste of time, but I can see their use as a motivator for you. From now on I want in-depth answers to any question I pose or not only will you not gain house points, but if I think you're trying to pull the wool over my eyes or shy away from my instruction in any way, I'll deduct them. That's not to say you can't quit this class at anytime. In fact, I encourage that. It will save everyone a lot of time if you decide you're not interested." She raised an eyebrow as she speculated the students in her classroom.
"Alright. On to the next subject, I want each of you to tell me three main traits you value in yourself. I don't want to hear any 'Well, people tell me' or 'I think'. It's a proven fact that everyone has at least three things about themselves they find absolutely unparalelled, and I want to know what you people find fascinating about yourselves. You can sit this one out, Miss Hubbles, I've already got a good scope on you. Out of the rest of you, who wants to go first?" her eyes moved between each students in turn as she awaited their, sure to be, enlightening answers.

Jac was unaccustomed to being in a quiet class without a professor present. The air was heavy with anxiety and she knew that she wasn't the only one that felt it. She was in the middle of the small room and looked around her, at everyone there. She didn't know many but she could tell that everyone was excited about this lesson as she was. Finally, she would be learning about more then just what she could do with her appearance. This would show Tonks that she wasn't mediocre and air-headed like she was certain Tonks thought she was.
Abruptly, the professor entered the class and she immediately demanded respect. Jac liked that in a teacher and everyone respected that by keeping quiet. Naturally, she knew of Girty's past experiences with this class and she was the first to be picked on. Jac was, in an odd way, glad she was not the first. She, at least, had time to gather her thoughts and concentrate on the class and the new environment she had been thrust into, of her own accord ironically enough. Jac watched Girty curiously as she spoke, then looked to the professor as she spoke. Definitely a woman to respect, Jac concluded with a small smirk on her face.
At the question, Jac's eyes wondered to the ceiling and she tapped her chin thoughtfully. She always hated these self-analytical questions because she always felt boastful when she spoke on herself. On the other hand, she though, that's what she's looking for so she's left the door wide open. Jac's hand went into the air, a small frown on her face as she was still thinking. "I have an undoubted ability to recall everything that I read and am perceptive at times and constantly curious. Also, I am loyal and I'm not afraid to do dangerous things, as long as it's exciting." All the things Jac had mentioned were things she had noticed about herself and noticed that not many others had the same qualities, which fascinated her greatly.

It wasn't surprising that she had been accepted to Animagus Tutoring. She most certainly wasn't a dunce and could out magic many of the students in her classes although she chose not to show off. She had almost forgotten all about these lessons since it had been so long since she'd applied. When the note came she was glad. Today was the first day and she was excited. Her stomach had butterflies in it the whole day.
The class itself was supposed to be extremely difficult and the last teacher well let's just say some didn't make it. Hopefully things would be different hopefully they would have someone who was competent. Entering the room she noticed the attractive older woman who was undoubtedly the professor. So far things seemed good. Then she noticed that as usual Girty Hubbles was already there. Angel though she was simply a wannabe Slytherin. If butt kissing were a sport she'd be champ. Rolling her eyes she turned and then spotted another girl this one a Gryffindor. Again Angel seemed annoyed, finding a seat as usual somewhere near the back she hoped another worthy classmate would appear.
As she got comfortable the professor asked them to give her three traits they valued about themselves. This shouldn't be too hard at least not for her. The Gryffindor went first Angel paid her no mind what did she care what the girl valued about herself. All she cared about was when she was done, as soon as the voice stopped droning on Angel spoke up. 'I'd like to say that I'm very cunning if you need a sneak I'm your gal. I'm very passionate about a great many things, which is probably why I'm always arguing. Lastly I'm very determined when I see something I want I'm going to go after it no matter what.' Like she said not too difficult.
