Sitting in her brand new, bland, dark office, Mafelda rummaged through the applications of eager young students wishing to take Animagus classes. She laughed icily as she read through them, "Pitiful, pitiful, pitiful..." this was as jovial as she had been in a long time, which was a truly frightening thought if you dared to think about it for long.
"An acceptable student with an average personality and amateur thought process. Perhaps I can teach her more than simply how to change her shape," she mused aloud as the application disappeared in shimmering green sparks.
"Hah! Ha ha ha. An overachiever who tries to cover up his goody-goody qualities by acting like a bad ass. I wonder how long it'll take me to break him..." Again the application disappeared in a shower of green sparks.
"Oh, my! Gone through this class twice, with two different Professors, and still no transformation? Oh, goodness me, how can I turn her away?" she rolled her eyes and the application disappeared.
"Oh, surely you jest, my dear?" she asked herself, quite amused by the girl's application. "She wants to work for the ministry? Hm... I suppose this will be a good test run for her then," she thought as once more the piece of parchment was devored by shimmering green light.
She tilted her head, "Curious, he's got a recomendation from the Ex-Deputy Head of the school. He must be special. But I think I've quite filled my quota of annoying self-centered brats... No, he'll be fun." The same reaction as the applications before.
Her eyes narrowed at the final application, "Exceptional... I can't say that that will make her life any easier in my class, but her clarity must be given its dues." Another burst of green sparks and the application disappeared.
She leaned back in her dragon leather armchair and nodded happily. "That will do quite well." With another wave of her wand this notice was posted outside the classroom door:
