((Seeing as I am the only one not to have done anything I really should post hehe. Feel free to join in no matter what house you are and who you are supporting! I like to think of it as a little bit of fun for rivals and plot lines to sprout out of hehe!))
Girty leaned over ‘Hogwarts: A history’ flicking through the worn pages of the book for what seemed the hundredth time. Her eyelids became heavy and she rubbed them in hope that the simple movement would wake them up, the only problem was it made the words on the pages become even more blurred. With a sigh she turned to her bag and pulled out pair of glasses and the parchment that contained the hats song. Girty could now recite it off by heart, as had pondered over every line, every word and although on many occasions her indignation took over (the idea of a battle to the death with the champions having to use a weapon that represent their house was one of her favourites)
Stuffing the parchment back in her bag almost in hope that the whole thing will go away Girty closed the book and rested her head on top it. She closed her eyes and let out yet another sigh.
You all belong to just one of the four, But must use them all to win for sure.
Girty mumbled the line to herself over and over again. She knew that it was this part that was the most important all she could work out was that to be the best you need to have a mix range of skills. But she knew that anyway, and as a Hufflepuff she believed she was in the best position. Although some said Hufflepuff was the house where everyone else went, but although she was very very bias in Girty’s mind those in Hufflepuff where the best as they had so many skills and talents.

Grace gently laid a hand on Girty's shoulder. She had her head on a book, her glasses still on, and she looked very uncomfortable. "Girty?" Grace whispered, gave Girty a gentle push and said with more confidence, "Girty, are you alright? Need help with something?" Grace could tell that she wasn't the best to help with this issue but she wanted to do it in any case, for her friend.
Grace gave Girty a gentle smile, her hand still on her shoulder, and managed to get a glance of the book's name. Hogwarts: A History. Grace smiled wider and sighed. "The Tournament, is it?" Grace offered. She didn't need to read the title of the book to know that that was what it was but it seemed right to do things this way. "Is there anything I can help with? Flyers? Banners? Badges?" She took back her hand and tilted her head so that she was facing Girty straight, her long hair falling around her chin.

As Girty felt someone touch her shoulder and a familiar voice she slowly raised her head, her glasses where half way down her nose but she did not care. She was just happy to see a friendly face. Giving out a large sigh of relief Girty had to restrain herself form leaping up and wrapping her arms around Grace. Everything had just been going upside for her recently and just to hear a normal voice meant the world.
Returning her friends smile Girty pulled off her glasses and threw them down onto the table and rubbed her eyes rather vigorously in hope to wake herself up. Graces offer of help was more then she had expected and at the mention of banners and badges Girty could not help but start to laugh.
“Yeah I think a few banners hanging from the stairwells saying ‘Support Girty or she will kill you next full moon’ may win me a few people over.”
Still laughing lightly Girty turned back to all the sections of parchment over the table and the books. She could not decide if she was missing something from the sorting hat song. Maybe it was so simple but Girty was just looking too deep into everything, studying every word and all it possible meanings. She put her head in her hands again and took a deep breath, she was causing herself unnecessary stress, stress that was not needed.
“Grace tell me that I have thought of everything possible to do with this poem and it will be impossible to work out any more meanings from a bunch of rhyming word sung by a hat.”

At Girty's smile, Grace's smile widened ten fold. She was always glad to see her friend smile. Grace watched Girty rub her eyes and she wanted to make some comment about how she shouldn't rub her eyes but she didn't say it. She just smiled at her friend, her best from of two wonderful years. When she began laughing, Grace couldn't help but laugh with her. "I'm sure that fear is the right look to wear for support," Grace chortled and sat back in her chair.
Grace's smile went a little smaller when she saw the look of earnest in Girty's eyes. She frowned and thought for a moment. She didn't know what Girty had come up with so far but wanted to tell her what she wanted to hear. "Well," she began slowly, doubtfully. An idea came to her and Grace smiled, "why don't you tell me what you've come up with so far and I will add what I can." She put her hand on Girty's shoulder again and squeezed it tightly. "I'm sure you have thought of everything, let's just make sure."

"I'd wear one." Reagan said, butting into the girl's conversation. it was just like Reagan to show up, randomly. "Did I interrupt anything ladies?" he said with a smile. He looked over both of them. Hufflepuff's, he shook his head. If they actually think that they were going to take the cup away from his own house, they were mistaken. Perhaps he could plant some misinformed clues?
"Oh, you won't find anything in there." Reagan said, closing the book in front of who he knew to be the champion. He did this with a diviner smile. He had no idea what book it was, and it could hold a whole chapter on the right answers to the puzzle. He pushed the book over and leaned across the table and whisper to the champion. "I saw the Slytherin champion pouring over a large book with a turquoise leather cover." He said, looking around as if he would be over heard. "The binding was gold and the edges of the paper dyed dark blue." Again he looked over his shoulder. "All I know is that he was writing an awful lot of information down and he was mighty happy about it."

Girty raised her head form her hands at the sound of another voice, a voice she was not familiar with. Frowning she noticed it was a Ravenclaw, something must have been wrong. Not only could Girty understand why a Ravenclaw would help anyone but particularly a Hubbles. Her frown slowly vanished and Girty listened to what he had to say. ‘A turquoise leather cover, blue pages. Girty mumbled this too herself and thought if she had seen it before, nothing sprang out at her and she turned to Grace almost for help. Girty was unsure if she wanted to believe this boy but any possible information could be useful. With a wide grin at the Ravenclaw Girty pulled her glasses off and threw them on the table as she sat up and ran over towards Miss Marsh’s office.
After moments of waiting and frantically trying to explain to the librarian the book there was a book that matched the description. Following Miss Marsh across the library she gave a quick thumbs up at Grace and the Ravenclaw and went down a side book case. After a few moments Girty came out cradling a book, although not as big as she had expected but it provided a loud enough bang as she dropt it onto the table. Turing it around with shaking hands she read the gold lettering and her mouth dropt open.
“’A guide to muggle pet care’. Why would Daniels be reading this?”
Reaching for her glasses Girty pushed them onto her nose and carefully flicked through the book looking at all the drawings of muggle’s feeding pets and cleaning them. Her heart was slowly sinking, as she closed the cover of the book and her gaze fell on the Ravenclaw once again. If she was not in the library she would have shouted so loudly at the boy, but instead she managed to shot him a small smile.
“Thanks for your help, I now know who to feed and bathe my rabbit.”

Reagan sat down on a chair backwards as the champion ran off to the Liberian. He silently smile at the Hufflepuff left at the table with him, but said nothing. He didn't think that his plan would work. It was true then, Hufflepuff's would believe anything.
Reagan tried with all his might to stifle the laugh that was itching to come out as the champion sat down with the book he had described. He hadn't actually known that there was a book that looked like it. He had expected her to waste her time looking for it. But Reagan thought quickly and smiled as the champion made a smart remark.
Reagan stood up and leaned over the table again. "Don't be so quick to judge Miss Hubbles, is it?" He smiled again. "Read in between the lines. Its a challenge. Answers are hidden where you least expect them to be." Reagan walked away with a parting wink. He turned down a random row of books and let out a silent laugh he had been holding in. Animal care? He couldn't ask for anything better. He pretended to look at a large ugly book, but peered over it watching the Hufflepuff's actions.

Girty frowned as the boy continued to talk about reading in between the lines. How could she read in between the lines of animal pet care. There was no connection at all, unless they had to pull a rabbit out of the sorting hat and by the end of the year it was the one with the healthiest rabbit that would win. Folding her arms in defiance she watched him walk away down a row of book and vanish from her sight. She was had never be happier to see someone walk away.
“He did that on purpose. Bloody Ravenclaw’s. I bet Loren Hayes set him up for this, that girl is playing dangerously on the edge.”
Girty stuffed everything into her back and placed the books she had been using into a rather large pile, slamming each down with more force then the previous. Turning to Grace Girty was about to admit defeat and walk out of the library in a huff but then she thought that by doing that she was letting Ravenclaw win. A small frown spread across her forehead and she tried to lean over to have a look down the aisle that the Ravenclaw walked down to make sure he was there. Two could play at this game. Sitting back down in her seat with a small grin Girty began to talk, slightly louder then she would have done normally.
“You know what I actually think what I found out early about the founders statue is something we really should look into. Maybe tonight we can go down and have a look for any markings, could be like the entrance to the chamber of secrets, although I can not speak badger.”
Girty knew Ravenclaw’s were smart, and will question most things more then a Hufflepuff but she had to hope that he might actually believe something and tell Loren to get her back. But then Girty was counting on this particular Ravenclaw to be as dim-witted as a Slytherin.
