It all begins with the Year's Second Song
It was evening, and the school was gathered in the Great Hall finishing off their usual dinner. As the last of the plates disappeared from sight, the great doors of the room opened and unusually not for the reason of allowing people to leave.
One of the school Professors, who students now realised had been absent from the meal, made their way up to the center table, holding a very unexpected item for this time of the year. A stool materialised before the teacher table, and the item was placed carefully upon it to face them all. Excited and curious whispers filled the hall.. it was not the start of the year so why on earth had the Sorting Hat been brought to them?
Silencio was cast from various teachers, leaving an eerie quiet as the hat began its song.. |

The hat finished its song and the silencing charms placed around the room were instantly removed. The Professors led an enthusiastic applause, as the Sorting Hat was taken once again from the Great Hall. The room was soon filled with a different type of noise, though it was just as loud. It seemed every single student was chatting excitedly to their neighbours and focusing on four people in the room. For everyone knew what this meant...
The Quadwizard Tournament had begun.
[ Time for a bit of OOC talk now. So first, Hello  Right, where to start...
The "Tournament Narrator" may seem a little unnecessary in this thread, but was actually created for things later on in the tournament, but I thought I may as well use it now.
Each Champion has their own sub board, and need to PM me with the password they would like for it. All judges will know this password, and the Champion is free to pass it on to RP friends who will help them work out clues etc. in the board through RP. (If this sounds confusing now, it'll make more sense as we get in to it, I hope!)
Note: Even with a password, theres ways to see what people have posted in the board.. but thats cheating and just spoils the fun =P
As for this thread, anyone is free to RP in this. You can discuss what you think the song means.. etc. Though remember that you may help a Champion you don't want to, so may want to save it for threads in the board of the Champion you are supporting. 
Finally, as Matt has posted, they are certain people you should be watching that will be giving hints/clues within their RP. Namely, for now, this is Professor Darrow and Rhiannon Jones.
Well I hope you all have fun with this once it gets going. I want to try and get as many people as possible involved, so perhaps it would be handy if you decided what Champion you would like to support (though the one for your House makes sense, its doesn't necessarily have to be that) and PM them saying that you would like to help.
Apologies for the terrible song above by the way, who would think playing a hat would be hard?  ]

RP in your passworded board with a friend or something.
Its vital to the progress of the tournament.
I know some of you don't want help in the Tournament, but you'll have no chance of winning without some RP discussion with others.
So hint hint.. wink wink.. nudge nudge..
Have I had everyones passwords by the way? ]
