Ace nodded and laughed, rocking back and forth. "Ace is perfect, everyone calls me that most of the time," Ace said, smiling from Candy to Alexis. Ace was a very friendly person and when she walked the corridors of the castle she would always hear shouts of 'hey Ace' or 'Ace! Hiya'. It was great to have an excuse to stop and have a quick chat with some random Slytherin or Gryffindor or both at the same time and laugh at whatever they share. Few people knew it but Ace preferred using her full name because she thought it was very pretty but Ace just seemed to fit her better so she didn't complain.
Alexis noticed something about Candy that Acelin didn't. Ace looked Candy up and down, her brow pinched into a tiny crease as she studied the fifth year. She didn't see anything wrong or out of the ordinary. Ace was a very observant person, despite her mouth, and had often seen Candy around the common room or at meals and she didn't look any different then she had the times Ace had seen her before. But apparently she was wrong. Candy began to explain her saddened state and Ace's frown turned into a small smile.
"Know what ya mean, mate," she said. "Me and me brother, Thadhg are real close and we haven't been at school together for three years. I still can't get over not seein' him every day." Ace ran a hand through her blond hair and shook it a bit. She dropped her hand and clapped it onto her ankle. "But ya find other that feel the same and you have pity parties together and share cupcakes." She burst into laughter and began to rock again. She had a lot of energy again simply sitting was doing nothing to relieve that pent up energy.

" Well I never actually went to school with them WAIT! no I lied" Said Candy thinking of how old were her brothers and making some calculations her brown eyes sparkled with concentration " You know what I actually went to school with all of them because Felix is 21, T.V is 20 and Ben is 19 I think? they all act like they were 7 so I lost count" Candy stated and then burst out laughing. when she finally calmed down she realized that the fall got her full of adrenaline and was now wide awake, then she looked at Aceline who was rocking back and forth " you sure have a lot of energy don't you Ace?" asked Candy who started balancing her book on her head, and then started bouncing on her armchair "you know just talking about what bothered me actually helped me, it sound so therapy like" Candy said giggling at the end of her sentence. Every time Candy got hyper she'll do random stuff, she just hoped the girls didn't think she was too weird.

Ace laughed at the mention of brothers. "I was never at school with Brion or Maolán but Thadhg and I were for together for four years but even though he was in Slytherin we were close." Ace loved her brothers to bits and they were all over protective of her too. Now, working in their own worlds, Ace rarely saw any of them except at Christmas and in August when a great majority of the family celebrated their birthdays and anniversaries. It was funny how that worked out so well.
Realising she was still rocking, Ace stopped and smiled like an angel. "I do," she admitted, "I've got too much energy fir me own good, says me dear Mother but with some exercise-" she smiled at Alexis quickly "-and lots for healthy food I get buy well enough. Does come in handy though when I've got Astronomy." She chuckled to herself and at her own joke, thinking she was very funny.

" No way! Felix was in slytherin too, T.V was in gryffindor like my dad and Ben was in hufflepuff so I guess it wasn't a surprise that I got into Ravenclaw I guess" She said thoughtfully " and not only have we been in each house we also are a different quidditch position Ben is a seeker, T.V a keeper, Felix is a chaser and I'm a born beater!" Candy exclaimed proudly and then started to hit her thighs with her fingers as if they were drumsticks and she started to go faster and faster creating a very cool rhythm and started to hit different parts of her thigh and parts of the chair once she realized what she was doing she stopped " Oh sorry I do that really often" she apologized " I know what you mean I am so full of energy at times I start doing the most random stuff" she said completely changing the subject " Oh and I change subjects really quickly is hard to get used to my dad still gets confused" She said laughing.

Alexis had apparently hit on something. She sensed something was wrong but wasn't sure she was correct, she went with her gut and it turned out her ability to read people was better than she thought. Candy was bothered by something and that was missing her family. Alexis tilted her head to the side knowing exactly how the other girl felt. Kianna was getting so big and it seemed that Alexis was always missing out on it. In a few years time the littlest Heart would be starting school but that just made it more difficult for her. It was as if Kianna's childhood was being missed by her. She was a third year already but it like Candy said never got any easier. Her parents always made her feel so happy and warn when she was home that it was hard to turn around and come back to school. Hogwarts was her home away from home but it wasn't home. Now she was feeling a bit nostalgic and a mopey feeling came over her but she knew that it wouldn't do to dwell on that. Trying to keep a happy look on her face she watched as the other two girls spoke of their own families. It did make her feel better to know that she wasn't the only one. When Candy changed subjects so quickly Alexis got a bit confused but apparently it was something she knew about because she made reference to the fact that her dad normally had the same reaction. Laughing she said, 'It's OK we won't hurt ya for that.' Cracking up she let out a loud laugh, feeling much much better.

" You'll get it soon enough, my dad is the exception but then again he has to deal with the randomness of 4 different people so is understandable" said Candy laughing again, never had the common room felt so cozy to Candy, laughing with 2 girls that weren't making fun of her was the best treatment for her nostalgia, once again Candy started her drum solo with her fingers " So do you guys have a favorite quidditch team?" She asked the girls being that quidditch was her favorite topic.

"Oi you like Quidditch too. It's my favorite thing in the whole world. Are you going out for the house team? I was on it last term but I suppose with a new captain there will be new tryouts. I can't wait I got a new broom and everything over the break. Haven't had much chance to break her in yet. As far as teams go I have to say Puddlemere is my favorite but Wimbourne Wasps come in a close second. They both have great seekers. Have you ever been to a match? I love going to matches." This was the one thing she adored talking about. Quidditch was her most favorite thing in the world next to transfiguration. If she could talk about it all day she probably would.

Finally finding her way to the Ravenclaw Common Room, Polaris walked in to find a group of students conversing. Giving a polite nod, she decided not to interrupt and take a seat next to the fireplace. Plopping down in the giant midnight blue arm chair, she settled in rather quickly and listened to the conversation quietly.
This was all new to her, seeing others from different regions of Europe or elsewhere. Her ice blue eye scanned over each of the other students forms, smiling all the while. After a moment, she reached a hand up to scratch at the eye patch that covered her left eye. Unfortunately this was a nervous habit she had and hoped nobody noticed this. Also, she had hoped nobody caught her staring. It wasn't that she was being rude, Polaris just had a streak of curiosity in her.

" I love Puddlemere They're the best well after Montrose magpies off course oh and yeah I've been to at least 20 matches but my favorite ones were when I 7 and it was Montrose vs. Chudley cannons, Montrose won off course and then the other one was a world cup when I was 11 I think and it was Ireland vs. Germany, Ireland won off course" Candy said laughing " You don't know how much I love Quidditch I could talk about it for hours and hours and hours" she said as she crossed her legs Indian-style, then Candy saw a girl who had just arrived " Hi" she said as she started to rock back and forth " I wonder if there's someone in the world that doesn't like quidditch?" she asked and made a face of deep concentration and then started giggling again

Acelin loved this: just being able to sit in the common room with a few friends, chatting and laughing. There was no better activity, other then Quidditch but in Ace's mind they came in a close tie. She chuckled to herself, behind her hand as thoughts of friends and Quidditch collided in fire work explosives in her mind, her over active imagination was running away with her again. And as though she had wished it, the subject took a sharp turn towards her, and apparently everyone else's favourite thing: Quidditch.
She laughed loudly and threw her long blond hair off her shoulders. "You don't mean the Mopey Marpies, do ya?" she questioned sardonically. She didn't think they were all that good and wasn't ashamed to say so. "They only won that match because of the last minute substitution that threw them off their game. That ruddy sub wasn't even warmed up properly!" Ace, with three older brothers, had grown up on Quidditch and talking the talk was just as good as playing the game to her.
Polaris, a new addition to Ace's dorm room, came in but stayed separate from the others. Ace guessed it was because of the eye patch or it was because she didn't like to be with people. Ace wasn't sure because she had not as of yet spent enough time with her fellow sixth year to have figured her out just yet. Never the less, Ace winked at her when she saw she was gazing their way.
Continuing their discussion, Ace said, "Anyway, there ain't no team like the Ballycastle Bats! They would have won the cup last year, had it not been fir those infernal Chudley Dudley's knocking out their keeper in the seventh minute." Like the other's Ace could talk Quidditch for hours. She simply loved the thrill of being in the air with so many people watching. It was better then telling her stories at dinner.

Polaris didn't mean to sit away from the group, she just felt that she rather not intrude and wait for others to invite her in. Seeing Ace's actions, Polaris smiled and winked back, giving a friendly wave in return. It's not that she wasn't social or talkative, or even playful, she was just taking a bit of time to adjust.
Looking around the room after the little greeting, she noted and took in all of the detail in awe. Never in her life had she seen such decorated and elaborate fabrics and designs. Her life previous to Howarts was very simple, since she had just lived on a farm in an average household. Continuing to look around, Polaris' lips parted just faintly while numerous thoughts coursed through her mind.

" What! you wanna take this outside!" Said Candy playfully with her fist in mid air "I'll admitted the bats are good, but not that good don't go blaming the Chudleys the ballycastle keeper is just bad, is not like they were going to win, and Magpies have won the cup around 38 times" Exclaimed Candy who was in heaven talking to some friends about quidditch was the best thing ever she was full of energy now, she was rocking back and forth her dark red hair just all around her face, she stopped rocking and turned to Ace once more " well Ballycastle Bats are way better than my dad's two favorite teams: Chudley cannons and Tutshill tornados" she said shaking her head as in shame about her dad's preferences, and started to laugh once more. Candy turned to wards the other girl " Hey why don't you come here and join us, we don't bite, well I don't know about them but I sure don't" said Candy looking at Alexis and Ace, Candy always thought the more the merrier

Polaris looked to Candice with a smile as she nodded and got up, walking over to where the others were situated. "Hey everyone, I'm Polaris." She introduced herself, her words thick in accent. Sitting down in a clear spot in where they were in an 'indian' style, she looked around at all of them, offering a polite nod with a friendly wave.

Ace was glad she was not the only one who wanted Pol to join them. She would have done it herself but Candy spoke too fast and Ace missed her chance. Nevertheless, Polaris joined them and Ace smiled widely at her. Ace had found that this girl was quiet and Ace respected that, she had her own reasons for it and Ace knew that if she was her normal overbearing self Pol would likely be scared for life. So Ace greeted her, "hey Pol!" before turning back to Candy with determination all over her face.
Ace jumped to her feet and snarled, brandishing her fists like a muppet in front of her. She burst into laughter at how ridicules she must look and then fell back to the floor. "Now, don't go dissing him, he ain't bad. I tell ya, that ruddy Cap'in did an illegal move I tell ya," Ace said passionately. "The ref was too busy making eyes at that Beater for the Bats, Allona Biggerstall, the reason her own team lost, ain't that ironic. And I swear that the Magpies match fix somehow, that's the only explanation for it."
