Loren had been glaring at the professor the whole time, entirely disapproving of his methods. He seemed to treat students with much disregard - he had not even explained to poor Alluran what on earth was going to happen, or what he was facing! Professor Starsmore baffled her, and as he had the audacity to have Helia do the most compromising jobs of the lesson, Loren could not help but huffed loudly.
The hall was dark and spooky, and Loren looked about herself with a pained expression. The safe was open and all eyes were on the floor, searching the inky blackness for something they could not yet see...

Ian had slipped into the classroom unnoticed just after Emily and settled quietly beside her, looking around slightly baffled as the lights had gone off and a brilliant white circle illuminated the floor in front of him.
After Helia's monologue, he found it hard to suppress his excitement at the tale, having remember hearing something about it a while ago when his wand had mysteriously disappeared. Though, he couldn't say he was too surprised to find out a Ravenclaw had surpassed the professor's expectations.
Nudging the girl beside him, he raised an eyebrow with a wry grin. "Dare you to go next." He winked challengingly, before the loud sound of the safe creaking open caught his attention, and his gaze traveled to the white circle apprehensively.

Girty watched on as a smile slowly filled her face. This lesson was going to be fun, although she had a feeling that Professor Starsmore was going to make the lesson a little bit more unbearable. With a sigh Girty moved back and sat on the floor crossing her legs. She watched the happenings and wondered why the Professor seemed to be scared of what was inside the safe.
Shooting a glance over at Striker, Girty gave a small smile. If anyone could do it then a Hufflepuff could.

Post by Prof. Jonathan Starsmore on Feb 18, 2007 17:22:54 GMT
Jonathan took a careful step back as the cool suddenly seeped from the sake. A thin black cloak seemed to sill out like slow, thick water, gathering itself slowly in the darkness. At their distance the students could not see what it was yet, but as the creature slowly spread out to be a good two meters wide in several directions, Jonathan found himself gripping his own wand at the ready, just in case the thing should turn on him.
The circle emitted a gently chiming sound suddenly, a signal that it was sealed completely. 'Be on your guard, Alluran. If you can't produce a full patronus... well... we'll think of something.'
The lethifold rose, and Jonathan knew that the student could now see it clearly - it's eyes at least. He heard several people gasp. It was, of course, not a normal lethifold, but his own creation. It had they eyes and mouth of a human, and as it drew up to full height (much unlike a flat lethifold), it wrapped it's black wings around itself, giving the impression of a tall thing being standing before them, cloaked and staring.
Slowly it began to advance toward Alluran. 'Might want to start now...' Jonathan suggested casually.
