((I decided to start a new practice thread, since Andie is now captain, and I think it would be too confussing in the existing thread if Andie were suddenly captain since Loren was captain. So I'm starting a new one so people don't confused as to who the captain is))
Andie walked out of the shade of the stands and onto the sun-warmed quidditch pitch. Firebolt in hand, she took a deep breath and smiled. She looked up at the sky and assesed the weather for today. The sky was blue, the sun was shining (but not too brightly), a light breeze stirred the air, and puffy little white clouds sailed along the sky. Andie smiled and gave a nod of approval. Perfect conditions for practice. Now, the only thing that was missing was the rest of the team. Andie walked to the center of the field, dragging the trunk that held the balls along with her to await the rest of her team.

Russell had been about to go to the library when he remembered he had quidditch practice. He quickly got dressed, grabbed his broom and ran down to the pitch. When he eventually got there, he noticed something was missing. The Team. Sighing, Rus slowed his pace.
He noticed Andie walking towards the center of the pitch. He ran towards her and took the handle of the trunk from her. He enjoyed helping out where he could and did it without thinking. "Hey," he said softly, not sure how to handle the awkward situation. And still he wasn't sure if the situation was going to be awkward because he hadn't seen Andie since they ended things so abruptly.

Andie felt the trunk being tugged out of her hands, and turned to see none other than, Russell Parkhurst. Her gemstone eyes hardened, and her face darkened into a glare. She snatched the trunk back from Russell, and glared daggers at him. "I am perfectly capable of carrying the trunk on my own, thank you very much! I don't need help! Especially not from a pathetic, cowardly, lowlife worm such as yourself!" She practically snarled. She gave one final glare then turned on her heel and stalked off across the field

Russell almost expected the outburst. He cringed never the less and happily gave her back the trunk with no arguments. He stood up straight as she stormed off and ran a hand through his hair. Oh dear! he thought, this is going to be awkward! This realisation was harsh, as were her words and Rus had to try to rectify what he had done. "Wait," he called.
Running to catch up with her when she didn't slow down, Rus caught Andie's arm and pulled her back. "Hang on a minute," he huffed a little more harshly then he had hoped. "What's this? Did you want me to lie to you and go into a relationship when I like someone else? Is that what you want?" He released her arm and looked her up and down, she was almost a different person to the crying ball he had left in the common room.

Andie whirled around, eyes blazing with anger and without a second thought, slapped Russell across the face as hard as she could. Four lines of crimson appeared where her nails raked across his skin. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" she hissed angrily. "Last time I checked you did not have permission to touch me!" She stood there, breathing hard as she glared at the boy who had caused her so much pain

Russell's body moved with the force of Andie's slap. He stood frozen in that position for a long time. He felt his cheek flash with heat and every ounce of hatred that Andie had poured into that slap. He stood up straight now, towering over her at his more then six foot stature.
He said nothing, he just looked at her. He had nothing to say and could say nothing to console her. That fact hurt a great deal more then actually having hurt her had. He didn't know how to make things right by her and couldn't see a way of them working this out.
He bowed his head, staring at the floor. He knew he only had that option left. "If my presence sickens you so much, I'll -" he hesitated, "I'll leave." He turned and began walking away. At least now she will be able to concentrate on being the captain and not concentrate on me, he thought, trying to convince himself that what he was doing was the right thing.

Since she had been too young last year to play quidditch, Pixle had been planning on trying out again this year. She rode in on her mother's old Cleansweep 13 (she liked it because it was made out of elm, like her wand) but as she arrived on the pitch she noticed quite a squabble going on. A seemingly nice boy being brutally attacked by a seething red-haired girl. As the boy began to exit the pitch she noticed he was bleeding and parked her broom in the middle of his path.
"This is probably none of my business..." she began, "But... are you ok?" she asked, tilting her head with curiousity and concern. "That looked like a pretty vicious argument. Um... I could help clean that up, if you'd like?" she said motioning to the four red slashes across his face. She wasn't normally one to reach out to a stranger, but after what she had seen transpire between the two older students, she thought it would not only be the kind thing to do, but the right thing. She hated seeing people get bullied around, especially when they had the ability to fight back and chose not to. That was true bravery in her own opinion.

Russell's head was hung in shame and defeat as he left the pitch. He was surprised, however, by a much younger girl stopping him. She stood still for a second, saying nothing, then he looked at Andie. He turned back to the girl in front of him and shook his head at her question.
"No," he said slowly, "I'm not alright." He wasn't talking about his cheek, which was still burning intensely, but something emotional. "It's very kind of you to offer but you have a practise to get to and I have a practise to leave. I'll be fine … don't– don’t worry." He bent down and gave the girl a hug. "Thanks though. See you around." And with that and a tap of the hand on the girls shoulder, Rus walked past her and left the pitch and the team.

Confused was the only word to describe Pix at the moment; completly and utterly confused. Well, if he didn't want help it wasn't her place to force it upon him, "Well, um, okay. Yeah... see you around," she shrugged. She didn't know many people that passed up help when they were bleeding, but at least she'd tried...
She approached the lone figure left on the field, other than herself, a bit warily. "Um... I... I was hoping to try out for the team," she said slowly before looking back over her shoulder where the boy had been. He'd looked so forlorn, like he'd lost someone close to his heart... and the fact that this girl had seemed so... well, mean...it frightened her a bit. "I don't mean to be rude," she started again, "but if that's how you treat your players I'm not sure I want to work with you." She said it with more conviction than she had expected, but she really did hate bullies.

((Hey, I'm sorry. But the team has actually already been chosen. So this is a practice for the team. Not an open tryout. Sorry about that))
Andie gave the girl a cold glare. "I'm not a bully." she said icily. she glared at Russell's retreating form. " He deserved what he got. He broke my heart, then left me to pick up the pieces!" she snarled, hatred and poison lacing every word. She looked back down at the girl. "You don't want to be on my team? Fine by me." Then, Andie's face softened. "But if you do want to be on the team, you're going to have to be willing to try your best, work hard, and pprove to me that your capable and worthy of being on my team." She gave the girl a stern look. "Can you do that? If you can, then let me see what you got, if you can't,"- She pointed towards the direction of the castle- "Well, then there's the door."
