Drake laughed as he kept Jac on his shoulder. Noticing a smaller figure walking on the field, Drake turned its way. He recognized the little girl immediately. He waited for her to stop near them before saying, "Hey, Poppy." he smiled at her. He only knew the girl because he talked to her in the Great Hall sometimes and the common room, awaiting for Aiden. But she was very interesting for a second year.
Walking over to her, he picked her up and placed her on his other shoulder on her stomach after placing the bat on the ground. He laughed. "Hey, look, more garbage." he joked. "Wow, I'm getting lucky today with finding this stuff." he chuckled a bit more, but still held on to the two girls.

Ian grinned at Jac, leaning forward with a twinkle in his eye as he waved it in front of her. "Is this all it takes?" He smirked a bit, turning the bar in his hand and inspecting it as it caught the glare of sun. "The way to a girl's heart resides in chocolate, Drake!" He called, his expression exaggeratedly serious. "Remember that-- the best advice any Head Boy has ever given you..." He trailed off as suddenly Jac was no longer in front of him, but twisting in dizzy circles upon Keller's shoulder.
With a mischievous grin, he waved an arm indifferently. "Looks like you're a bit preoccupied for chocolate, Jac," he said, leaning his elbow on Sophie's shoulder. Grinning at Drake, he was about to continue their torture of Jac when a loud, but high-pitched, voice distracted him.
Turning around, Ian smiled at once. The girl was seemingly the one trying out for seeker, or perhaps had already landed the position by looks of her robes. "Hello, Poppy! Don't worry, they're the only fools on this pitch," he winked with a quick gesture to Jac and Drake.
Then, finding he had nothing else to say to the girl, he awkwardly held out his chocolate with a baffled expression. "Chocolate?" Before anything else could be said, she was, too, on Drake's shoulder and Ian shrugged in a thoughtful way.
"Well, I suppose that means more for me."

"That's all it takes," Jac said, leaning closer to Ian knowing he was just about to give her a piece of chocolate when suddenly the bat was wrenched from her hand and she was hoisted into the air. Next thing she knew she was on Drakes shoulder. She shriek with laughter and giggled as she began to kick her legs and bang her fists on his back.
"Drake!" she shrieked, laughed, "what in Merlin's name do you think you're doing?" She burst into laughter again as she was spun around. Jac heard a new voice and tried to look behind her to see who had just joined them but because she was on Drake's shoulder she couldn't see.
She was facing Ian again. "I really will take a piece of chocolate, if you don't mind," she said but was thrown out of her comfortable position by another girl who was joining her on Drake's shoulders. Jac smiled at the little girl and held out a hand while supporting herself with the other. "Jac Biggerstall, pleasure to meet you."

"You're going to have to come down and get it, Jac!" Ian called, snickering quietly to himself. Though, after a moment he found he was getting dizzy watching them, and turned to Lisa and Sophie with a bright expression.
"I can't wait to get into the air, personally." He said with a nod, knowing the others probably felt much the same. As if his broom read his mind, it jabbed him gently in the small of his back, and he let out a surprised yelp before turning around and smiling gently.
"You too, eh?"
The silver arrow hovered beside him, waiting, and with a shrug Ian mounted his broom. "Right then, Keller! Up for a nice game of catch?" The twinkle in his eye suggested that it would be much brutal, as even though they were friends, they were both competing for a position on the team.

Drake grinned. "I'm trying to pass the time!" he said, spinning in circles, holding on to the girls still. "Aiden's not here and I'm bored. That doesn't make a good combo and you know it as well as everyone else here does! Maybe with the exception of Poppy who hasn't been here long enough, unless she pays attention quite a bit." he laughed.
Turning to Ian, he pouted childishly, though not seriously. "But I'm having so much fun with the garbage." he complained like a three year old. "Can we toss the garbage around?" he grinned again and gently put the two girls on their feet. "I'll be right back, ladies." Lifting his hand towards his broom, it flew into his hand and he took off immediately. "Lets do it, Ian!"

Ian gave Keller a wolfish grin, before spinning his broom to face Sophie. "Alright, Hargreaves. We're ready for the quaffle."
Glancing back at Drake, he sent the boy a mischievous look. "Or, at least I am."
Then, he gripped the handle securely and waited for Sophie to throw the quaffle in the air while excitement knotted in his chest. I'm going to get it first! He thought wildly to himself, raising a brow at Drake then following it with a small smirk. He was sure Drake knew exactly what he was thinking.

Lisa grinned at Ian as he approached and accepted the sweet easily. The wrapper suggested it was from honeydukes, and she took a bite off her piece. It took her barely a moment to see that everyone was hyperactive even without Ian's chocolate, and she let out a small laugh as she mounted her broom.
The team this year looked exciting, and all seemed to get along quite well. Feeling much more at ease, she picked up one of the discarded bats, weighing it in her hand. "Feels about right," she said with a bright smile.

Sophie smiled warmly at Jac as she promptly readied herself for flight; she was always so quick, and surprisingly for people their age, ready to take orders, so long as they were the right ones she guessed. As the bludger rocketed off, threatening to land upon anybody's skull if they weren't careful Sophie was nonetheless distracted by Lisa's arrival. Waving her over Sophie exclaimed "Lisa, it doesn't matter that you're late at all," but seeing Ian's approach, followed closely by Drake she added with a slight smirk "but it matters that they're late of course. Boys stop walking so slowly," She called grinning.
Giggling at Ian's comment of Jac's skill with a bat she looked apologetically at her friend and was determined to defend her, but wittily too. "I wouldn't say that if I were you, she'll hit it at you, and think about it, the other team will be even more afraid."
As Ian kindly began handing around chocolate Sophie's eyes lit up and a dazed expression was prominent upon her features, she had given up chocolate for a number of months having found it too much of an addiction. Did Ian know that? She wondered yeah quite probably. "Stop tempting me, you know I've given it up," She declined with a shake of her head, temptation was strong, but she barely mastered it. If the smell wafred over to her she'd be powerless to resist though; it was such an addiction, but it tasted so lovely, Ian was probably producing a well-known brand on purpose too thought Sophie wrinkling her nose up.
Drake followed closely upon the heels of Ian, making Sophie promptly roll her eyes, Drake could be a handful with his neverending teasing and playfulness, but generally he was very fun to be around. "Oh I thought Lisa was your favourite? She's actually deciding the team, I just boss people about," She teased, "ach you fool flattery won't help, I really hope your flying skills are better than your people skills." She laughed meaning it purely as a joke. "Yeah that dungbomb was a right laugh." Shaking her head ruefully and becoming increasingly amused by Drake's antics of picking up his fellow Gryffindors she was admittedly glad she hadn't been picked upon. Unsure of whether she should break up the fun and games she decided against; as she wanted practice to be fun and light hearted still.
Sophie beamed as their suitable seeker appeared, "hiya Poppy," She greeted, but gasped as Drake grabbed a hold of her to hoist her onto his broad shoulders. "Put her down," She commanded the slight squeal of apprehension, nigh on fear, creeping into her voice, she'd be highly embarrassed if any of them came away hurt in even the slightest fashion.
Sophie was therefore incredibly thankful when Drake dropped his passengers off, letting out a breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding Sophie grinned sheepishly, "sounds like a brilliant idea Ian," She agreed feeling unsure of herself once more. But on realising the boys were becoming much more competitive; a gleam entered Sophie's eyes; she had the perfect plan.
"Come and get it if you want it then," With quaffle in hand she pounced upon her broom urging it to ascend into the air. "Girls versus boys then with Jac beating at us all." Feeling a rush of exhilaration as the air began to pick up as her speed began to gradually increase, Sophie laughed happily; until somebody crashed into her with a tackle of course.

Poppy squealed and giggled as Drake picked her up and flung her over his shoulder. Her stomach was bouncing with laughter as she said, "I'm not garbage!!!" between giggles. She noticed another girl on his opposite shoulder. Wow. Poppy thought. He's strong!
Poppy took the girls hand. "I'm Poppy" She said with an over exaggerated shake, almost losing her balance. "Chocolate?" Poppy said inquisitively. "Who has chocolate?" Whoever it was it was Poppy's new best friend. For a newly twelve year old girl, she still had a childish love of chocolate.
Poppy never got an answer because Drake continued to spin her and the other girl in circles. Poppy couldn't help but laugh. It was almost as fun as flying!
Poppy gave an "aww" of disappointment as Sophie told Drake to put them down. With another joke, he did. Still dizzy, trying to gain her feet on the ground, she picked up her broom which she had dropped as she had been slung over the shoulder.
Poppy's grin was back. She loved playing boys versus girls. The girls alway won! Giggling with delight, she took of after Sophie, blowing her tongue at the boys still on the ground. Poppy rose up, her robes, quite large for her, billowed in the rush of wind. She looked out onto the pitch. Time to get serious, Poppy giggled.

Jac shook the girl's hand enthusiastically and smiled at the small girl when Drake finally put them down. She quickly picked up her broom and the other bat and stood next to Lisa, watching Soph and Poppy fly off. "You and me could beat the stuffing out of this lot," Jac said playfully.
She jumped onto her broom, brandishing her bat above her head like a whip, and sped into the air. She looked around for a bludger and saw one rushing bellow her. She quickly flew downwards and hit it towards Poppy with a loud groan at the effort. She put a lot of force behind the hit and hoped it didn't hit her too hard.

Poppy closed her eyes to clear her head. The giggling had to stop. As young as Poppy was, she wasn't a baby. She was beginning to learn when enough was enough. Now it was time to be serious. She flew forward slightly, opening her eyes to look around for that golden ball. It was Poppy favorite, and she was lucky it was. It was her sole job to catch this pretty ball, and Poppy gladly took the job.
As light breeze picked up her robes in its gust. These would be a problem. Poppy made it a point to remember to get them shrunk or something. Poppy couldn't play in them, they would slow her down immensely. As a decently fast player, also a seeker, her speed with of good advantage.
Poppy heard a smack and a whoosh. She looked up into the sky, no clouds. She shrugged, and again looked a round. Three seconds later, the whoosh was right under her. Seeing the fast bludger speed toward her, Poppy's eye grew wide. She pulled up on her broomstick, spinning backwards. Breathing a sigh of relief, happy she was breathing at all, Poppy looked for the culprit. She smiled at Jac, the girl she had just met, and stuck out her tongue playfully. "Missed me." She shouted with a laugh.

Jac laughed at Poppy's back flip. It was very impressive and if Jac had a little better balance she might have tried it herself but right at the moment, she didn’t. She stuck her tongue back at the girl and called back, "I knew you would! I was just giving you a chance, next time it won't be so easy." She smiled at the little girl and flew off in search of another bludger.
One was now flying towards her. She looked around and saw Ian. A wicked grin came onto her face. She braced herself, poised for the strike. As the bludger came close she drew back the bat and walloped the speeding sphere towards the unsuspecting Ian. She watched it with anticipation as it flew towards him.

Drake smirked and awaited the quaffle to get thrown, then noticed Sophie had said girls versus boys. He grinned. "Hey, Sophie! Aiden will get here. Hopefully soon, although guys and girls when they're in love, you can't help but to lose track of time."
He flew back down to where Sophie was and hugged her, although his version was more of a tight-squeeze-that-you-can't-breathe-and-it-feels-like-a-tackle-when-first-felt sort of deal. "Just remember that time when we lost track of time, love." he said sarcastically with a wider grin, and a dramatic fake sob. "How could you forget?!"
He left her, flying high in the air, laughing hard. He flew over to Ian again, and looked to the side of them. He was still laughing, but he saw Jac coming for Ian and slowly floated backwards, merely waving at his friend, with his grin still in place.

Just as Ian poised his broom ready for a dive toward the neglected quaffle, Drake sped along side him. Turning to Keller with a smirk, he was about to let out a smal taunt that had to do with the shape of his head being remarkably similar to that of a quaffle when he suddenly spun away.
Confused, Ian raised a brow and looked back ahead of him, expecting to see the quaffle. Instead, a furious bludger zoomed right at his left shoulder, and he did a lame spin like an amateur dancer to avoid it. It turned sharply, just missing his shoulderblade, but Jac's hit was too well aimed. It flung back against Ian once more, hitting him squarely just above the right elbow, and he lurched forward on his broom.
Wincing, though his lips turned up in a tiny grin, he flew over to Jac and circled her, ducking under her bat twice. "Someone's been practicing," he said, before pausing in front of her. Then he turned to Drake, sending him a mock glare.
"Thanks for the warning!"

Jac giggled naughtily as she saw Drake glance her way and not tell Ian. She had expected nothing less and it still amused her. The bludger zoomed towards Ian and he finally spotted it. He spun around but it didn't miss him, it came back at him and hit him above the elbow. Jac cackled. "Yess!" Ian flew to her and she flushed the same red as her hair.
"I'm so happy you noticed," Jac said teasingly. She smiled at him and cocked her head. "Does it hurt much?" she asked, it had been an awkward hit and she wasn't sure if it had done it's job properly. She looked around at the others, who didn't seem too keen on actually practicing. She straightened her head and looked back to Ian, an rueful grin on her face.
