Grace hadn't hungered for sweets in a long time but today of all days, she was dying for something incredibly sweet. It was raining out and she took an umbrella. The streets of Hogsmeade were filled with umbrellas and Grace smiled as she noticed how they never hook on one another but skimmed past each other. She joined what she would have called a dance and made her way to Honeydukes.
The bell above the door tinkled invitingly as she entered, her umbrella hooked over her arm. She smiled at the magical sight that awaited her. So many colours, so many smells, so much and so little money. She walked slowly around the store, eyeing different sweets and undecided as to what to get. She was in no hurry, time was not the object, but some things were just so expensive. She smiled as she looked around more and eyed the price tags.

It was raining, and not that sort of enjoyable light rain, but that drenching sort of freeze your arse off rain. Effie, as always, had chosen the perfectly apt occasion to forget to bring her coat to Hogsmeade, and entered Honeydukes with not a patch of her dry. It was these sort of situtations that the Ravenclaw thanked Merlin that she was a witch, as with one graceful swish of the willow wand she was perfectly dry again.
Much better. She thought with a flash of playful smirk.
Effie wandered over to the nearest aisle and eyed up some of the latest flavours of sugar quills. There was another student next to her, who seemed to be taking quite a bit of care with the pricing of the sweets. 'If you're looking for a bargain I wouldn't go for those ones.' She gave a nod towards the item the older girl was currently holding. 'Awful stuff.' She stated, pulling a face to emphasise her point.
'These on the other hand-' She passed the girl, whom she then realised she recognised as Head girl as well as somone who had often blocked her shots on goal, a handful of multi-coloured cauldron shaped sweets. 'Tasty.. and cheap.'

Grace had a box in her hand and it was changing colour. No matter how much time she spent in the wizarding world, it still amazed her when inanimate objects did things by themselves. "But the price," she groaned through gritted teeth. Suddenly she realised someone was standing next to her.
Grace looked at her and smiled as she advised her not to take them. "O," she said slowly, "thanks." She put the box back and then next thing she knew she was holding a bag of cauldron shaped sweets. She looked at the bag, examined it and said absently, "are they?" She lifted the price tag and saw that it was in her price range. Her father hadn't exactly drunk himself into a stupor and left her loads of money. She was glad that when she left school she had a job to go to.
Grace smiled at the girl and said, "they are. Thank you. I'm Grace, by the way, Grace Marks." She held out a hand and offered a friendly smile. She was slightly embarrassed about buying sweets on such a budget but she didn't care much about her image. That was merely how others saw her and that was immaterial and unimportant.
