bella walked into a cozy looking tea shop with a book in hand. she ordered a coffee and sat at one of the tables.
she read and sipped her beverage for a few minutes, then looked around the shop. it seemed everyone there was on a date. she felt incredibly out of place.

Shane trudged down the streets of Hogsmeade, his hands jammed into the front pocket of his blue sweatshirt. The hood was thrown up over his dark hair, making him seem even more inconspicuous than he was initially trying to be. He had come to Hogsmeade alone for one good reason. And that was so he could actually be alone. He was tired of his friends trailing after him, he was sick of being stick inside the crowded common room, and he was bored of giving and being given dirty looks by other houses. Hogsmeade seemed to be the perfect escape. Not one person had glanced twice in his direction, which was a good sign he wouldn't have to deal with anyone he didn't feel like today.
He glanced through the windows of the shops he passed, looking with mild interest. There was really nothing too exciting behind either glass window. Until he passed the tea shop that it. There, sitting in front of the window was Bella Black. Shane knew her. They were in the same house and the same year after all. They had known eachother since their first year at Hogwarts. Smirking slightly, Shane slipped through the door of the shop. He made a face as he looked around. A bunch of couples holding hands and making kissy faces. Pathetic. Shane rolled his eyes before taking the seat across from Bella. He gave her one of his infamous smirks. " May I ask the reason you're sitting in here? I mean..look around?" He questioned, his smirk growing and his bright colored eyes glowing mischeviously.

bella saw shane enter the tea shop, and smiled. finally a familiar face that was not currently attached to someone elses.
"i was just asking myself the same thing. and what, may i ask, are you doing here? are you meeting a girl?" bella laughed playfully.

Shane grinned rolling his eyes. " Well that's a great answer." He teased her. He almost snorted with laughter at her next question. " No. Definetly not meeting someone here." He said, making a face. This wasn't his idea of a great date place. It was a little cheesy. " I just saw you sitting here and decided to keep you company." He explained, shrugging his shoulders slightly." Afterall, you need some distraction from all the loving couples surrounding you." He snickered.

bella laughed. shane was entertaining, that was for sure. she ran a hand through her dark hair and said, "well, then why dont you have a seat?" she gestured to the chair across from her, and called to the old lady manning the counter. "two coffees please!"
she turned back to shane. "i hope you dont mind?"
