Being reduced to patrolling like she was a prefect again was degrading and infuriating. Naturally anyone she stopped didn't know anything about anyone and they would often burst into tears, even the tall, lanky warlock that could have crushed her head with his bare hand. This was growing tired and still no new orders, no reason for keeping such an eye on Hogsmeade on Hogwarts. Quinn was not one for games and this was the most tired of them all.
She slowly walked up the main street of Hogsmeade, looking at all the people she passed, all the shops, all the things that caught her eye as she passed them. One thing that looked most inviting was a bench in the sun that was out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the street. She made a bee line for it and sat down lazily on it. Her feet were terrible sore from all the walking, her arms were sore from all the assailing and her head was sore from the unfruitfulness of the days and weeks that she had spent here.

Dan walked down the street of Hogsmeade, the weather was lovely and he could not help but smile. He was meant to be meeting someone in the Three Broomsticks but as he got closer his attention was drawn to someone sitting on a bench. A small lopsided smile filled his face as Dan changed direction and walked over towards Quinn. As he got closer Dan pocked out his tongue and ran it over his dry lips. He knew how much Quinn detested him from pervious experiences but Dan was convinced that there was something deep inside of her that could show that she is a normal person.
“Good day Quinn. What lovely weather to be putting your feet up. May I join you? I you just seem so lonely that you could do with some company…and who better then the nicest looking man in the whole village.”
Dan gave her a little wink and without even waiting for an answer sat down next to her and stretched out his legs and placed his hands behind his back. Then with a very cheeky smile Dan turned tilted his head so he could watch Quinn carefully.

Quinn was looking down the street when someone familiar came by. She didn't look at him; in fact, she pointedly looked the other way. She hoped he wouldn't spot her but when he changed direction and headed towards her, those hopes were dashed. She sighed, getting her temper in check. She had received a vicious berating about her temper and she was doing her best to get it in check.
A greeting, she thought, innocent enough and, of course, that little bit of pride mixed in. She still did not say anything nor did she look at him. She pointedly looked down the other side of the street and stared at a sign that was squeaking loudly. He was staring at her, she could feel his eyes on her and she didn't like it. She cleared her throat and looked ahead of herself. "If I had said no," she asked quietly, "would it have made a difference?"

Dan listened to Quinn’s snide remark and gave a small smile when he noticed that she still was not looking at him. Rising his eyebrows Dan thought carefully about the question and gave a soft chuckle. He could not work out if she had realised it was him, she was a smart women so more then likely had a suspicion about who it could be, but Dan was convinced that as soon as she looked at him she would be on her feet walking off in the other direction.
“Nope, it would have made no difference. I would still have sat down as it is a free world and I can do what I want, I just thought it polite to ask first. Common curtsey can go a long way, such as looking at the person who is talk to you.”
Dan gave a small smile at the back of Quinn’s head and continued to look across the street. He was half hoping for Quinn to retaliate and bite back however she also integrated him. The first ad last time they had met had been strange circumstances, and the fear for your own life was greater then getting to know the person you were running around the grounds of Hogwarts with.

Quinn stared purposefully at the door across the street as though her life depended on it. She wasn't about to get suspended for loosing her temper at a silly man who was too hot for his shorts. Naturally, he wasn't wearing shorts at the moment, that would just have been peculiar, but the saying went thus and she stuck to her guns about that. However, when she was professed to be discourtesy, Quinn couldn't take the insult any more.
Slowly, she turned her head to face the arrogant man, her teeth clenched. She glared at him with her shining green eyes and said slowly and with much self control, "'Courtesy itself must convert to disdain when you come in her presence', and you can thank Shakespeare for that." She sat up a little straighter, crossed her arms a little tighter across her chest. Who does this man think he is? she thought indignantly.
Breathing and glaring ahead of her again she said, "what brings you to Hogsmeade?" Small talk, she had been instructed to use small talk to avoid any unnecessary outbursts. She hoped her superiors were taking note on the special effort she was putting in to be ... courteous. She knew she was being watched as much as she was constantly watched her apprentice and those below her. It was their job but never the less embarrassing to need a hound to hold her leash.
