[This is an open thread; But I would only like a professor, auror, or ministry.]
Vanessa had been studying in private for quite some time, ever since The Ministry started making all of these restrictions on magic. She took her large stack of books and wondered off into The Forbidden Forest, the one place she trusted. It was funny how Nessa could trust such a place, but not the safe walls of Hogwarts. She just felt..secluded here, and she liked the feeling.
A particular book stuck out from all the others, Learning the Dark Arts, written by Vincent Malfoy in 1958. It was old and tattered, pages sticking out from the sides. She had a few Defense Against the Dark Arts aswell. But, it was her philosopy that told her she should known the Dark Arts before going up against them.
She found a good spot with just a bit of light peeking out through the trees. "Here it goes," she began with a loud sigh, dropping her books onto the ground. Vanessa pulled a satchel off of her shoulder, retrieving various dark candles and artifacts. It appeared as if she took this a little bit more seriously than most.
Vanessa was at the top of all her classes as it was, but this just gave her an even bigger advantage. Although her parents didn't feel as if there was a threat in the area, of any kind whatsoever, if there ever was, she'd be ready.
She stuck her black candles into the ground, lighting each one with the tip of her wand. She placed the artifacts around and between them, then began whispering something in Russian. "Ïîæàëóéñòà, äàéòå ìíå âëàñòü ìîèõ ïðåäêîâ äî ìåíÿ. Äëÿ óñïåøíîãî çàêðåïëåíèÿ ýòèõ óïðàæíåíèÿìè, è, ÷òîáû ñäåëàòü ìîþ ñåìüþ ãîðäèòüñÿ. ß äîëæíà áûòü ãîòîâà."
In any case, she didn't want anyone to be able to understand her. Thank God her parents paid for all of those extra language lessons. Vanessa wafted some of the smoke, sitting Indian style and moving one of the pendants across the wave of smoke.

Aurora found herself exploring her new home. She had been told of all the troubles that had been going on around the school, with ministry there, restrictions on magic, and the students' reactions to all of this. She entered the forest. She had been warned about all the dangerous creatures and such that roamed the forest, but she had been dealing with dangerous creatures her whole life, so she wasn't too worried about it.
After a while of walking Aurora could hear someone speaking. As she followed the voice, she realized that it was Russian. She finally reached the voice, and saw a girl, who was probably around sixteen or seventeen. She knew that students weren't supposed to be in the forest, but before drawing the girl's attention, Aurora examined the scene.
Dark candles and artifacts were on the ground, and she realized immediately the girl was practicing dark magic. A smile played across her face, but she quickly got rid of it, knowing she couldn't encourage this behavior. "Excuse me, but I do believe that you are not supposed to be out here," she said stepping to where the girl could see her. Looking down at the objects the girl had out Aurora added, "And I'm also certain that you aren't supposed to be practicing the dark arts. Explain yourself."

Vanessa was about to draw some blood from her arm when she froze in place, her wand pointed towards her arm. Oh crap. Someone had spotted her, which wasn't exactly a good thing from her perspective. She pulled her wand away from her arm, giving some near by leaves a kick in attempt to cover the items. "Dark Arts? Uhm, no," she said immediately.
"Do you think a girl of my age would worry about dark magic? I think not. And so, I must have taken the wrong book. Because this one certainly does not belong to me," she said, glancing down at the large book. A glare found its way across her features, taking a deep breath. "And who..," she approached, "are you?"

Seeing the girl kick leaves onto the items and then lie about what she was doing, Aurora sighed. "I am Professor Turolia, new Dragonology professor. And it isn't very intelligent to glare at a professor like that," she said looking more closely at the girl. She was in Slytherin, which from what Aurora knew, was the best of the houses at this school. "And I would appreciate it if you wouldn't lie to me. I'm not an idiot," she said walking over to the items and knocking the leaves away examining them.
"And I was just about to ask what you would be doing worrying about the dark arts," Aurora said looking back at the girl, although she herself had starting studying the dark arts at a younger age than this girl was. Standing up she asked, "And who are you? I want a name and year."
