The forbidden forest was a dark and eerie place, especially in the middle of the night. No one really knows how far the forest goes, where it ends and just what kind of dark creatures live inside. You never know what to expect to find once you steep foot inside.
A pair of light blue eyes hidden by a large black hood just looked up at the almost full moon. These eyes of coarse belonged to Gabriella Paddock. A small black bag was swung across her back; and a pair of black sneakers were on her feet covered by the long pure black robe she was wearing over her school clothes.
Gabby removed her eyes from the beautiful moon and headed into the complete darkness of the forest, her wand in right hand. “Lumous,” she whispered into the darkness and quickly her wand was lighting her way into the forest. The forest was fairly quiet, only the soothing sound of crickets and owls hooting could be heard. ‘Crack,’ a tree branch snapped in half and Gabby quickly turned around to see who was there. She could see no one, just trees and the eyes of owls. Gabby pointed her wand towards her feet and noticed a broken branch under her feet. Ignoring the branch Gabby continued deeper into the forest.
After what seemed to be about ten minutes Gabby looked around the forest, this was her destination. She took a few steps closer and found herself in a small clearing with a large black cauldron in the middle. Gabby walked up to the cauldron and removed the bag from back and placed it on the ground. She opened it up and took out a small lantern and placed it on a stand that stood next to cauldron. Next to the stand was a large wooden spoon. She picked it up and went back over to the cauldron placing it inside. The cauldron was filled with a dark looking substance, she stirred it a few time and then went back to her bag she had placed on the ground.
Gabby opened the bag and pulled out a large brown rat. She held it by the tail and listened to it squeal. She had stolen this rat from a first year Gryffindor earlier that day, why go searching through the forest for a rat when you can steal one from a stupid little half blood. Bella looked at the rat and just laughed, “should I kill you and take your tail or just cut off your tail and give you back to that first year?” She smiled looking at the rat. Both ideas sounded like fun but killing the rat sounded better. Gabby pulled out a small bowl from her bag and placed the terrified rat inside. She held her wand in her right hand once again and pointed it towards the defenseless little rat. “Avada Kadavra,” a stream of green light from her wand and the rat was dead in an instant. Gabby gave an evil laugh and then cut the tail off of the rat and threw the tail into her potion. She would give the dead rat back to the first year tomorrow morning. Gabby stirred the potion a few more times and just looked into the cauldron. It was now starting to turn a lighter shade of grey, the potion was almost done.
