There she was.
A girl of seventeen.
Her last year in her school.
So what was she doing in the confinements of the forest?
She was a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. An innocent looker to the people who didnt know her. Out of her robes you wouldnt guess she was a Slytherin by the look of her. Though she was. What was she doing in the forest? She wasnt waiting. She was tired of waiting. She had promised herself many years ago, this place. This dark, damp, dismal place, would be explored. Every corner found. By the time she left.
Time was running out.
While she was away, she went by many alias. Though now, she was plain Kim. Nobody called her Kimberley. A lot of people called her Kimmy or Kimba. Though it would seem to her, those names were lost. Only a few knew her by those names, and those people were nowhere near her now.
She didnt mind.
Walking into the forest, the darkness engulfed her automatically. She wasnt stupid enough to cast the lumos spell either. She didnt need it anyway, she could see better in the dark than she could in the light.
An hour she walked. Looking around, nothing alive was in her view.Though there came a sound, behind her. Stopping she was smirking. Even if it was someone from her own house, it didnt mean she would welcome them.

Quinn had found a girl, a blond girl, hair stuck out like a drop of blood on a white shirt, wondering the forest. It intrigued her that a girl like this would come to a place like this, dark, dank, miserable. But yet the girl walked. Quinn had found her about thirty minutes ago and still she wandered.
Quinn noted that the girl didn't use her wand to light her way. What a curious ... girl, Quinn thought. She did not let the girl know she was there, which was easy enough, and she tailed the girl till she felt good and ready to reveal herself.
She came out of the darkest part of the darkness so that the girl would see her if she turned around. "A bit late to be wondering," Quinn said in a deep controlling voice, "isn't it?" She glared at the girl, trying to get a glimpse of her face. The face, the eyes never lie.

"Wow, how long had you been stalking her?" Brian asked emerging from the shadows. "Either you just spotted her or you just wanted her to take a longer walk back." he stated then looking at Kim.
"Still see that your here, going anytime soon?" he asked because of the fact that she had been gone for about 1 term. Kim and Brian were a little alike, both lived lives with friends who didn't know much of their history. None really knew about what he did for months and what he's done before.
He saw what happened when you let your guard down, his brother lost everything, and still deals the torment. "So how are you Kim anyway?" he asked hoping that she would come up with a good answer.

Quinn frowned heavily when another came out of the shadows. He looked a little old to be a student but not old enough to be granted any respect. Quinn grimaced at the boy and crossed her arms. "And is that any business of yours, Mr ... what ever your name is," she held barely contain rage under the surface for she knew these were not the ones she was looking for.
Perhaps they chased them away ... Quinn thought, then quickly shoved that thought aside, impossible! Instead she studied the interaction of the two carefully, vaguely interested. They seemed to know each other, have a history, but any more then that, Quinn could not deduce. Quinn looked from the boy, smug and idealistic, to the girl, who seemed somehow sad. How intriguing!

"I'm Mr. Chase, and you are?" he said seeing that she seemed disappointed that she found them. She may have been looking for someone else. " Who are you anyway?" he asked, "You don't seem like you've been here for a while. If you did then you hide." he said accusingly.

"Mr Chase?" she sneered as she said the name, "as soon as anything becomes your business I will be sure to inform you." She inclined her head towards him slowly, barely able to stomach the sight of him. What a disreputable bunch Darrow has made, Quinn thought, disappointed but so happy, hopefully they'll be stupid enough to turn Rogue. Then I'll be able to do my job properly.
"Mr Chase," she repeated, with some hast, "do you often stalk young girls or is this just a new development in your daily ritual?" she asked, letting her arms drop to her sides and turning her body to face the boy. He did seem the type but Quinn only hope she wasn't the type to accept such treatment. But she would need proof, he was nothing without proof.

"How old are you anyway?" he asked, younger women were annoying, while older women could be trusted. "To me you seem about 34 or 35" he stated as a joke, but he acted like he meant it. "No, I wasn't following her, I was following you. You seemed really scary from about 4 miles away, and you still do." he said felling like another collapsing headache was about to hit so he quickly drank and odd liquid. It tasted wrong, but it was the only thing he could do so he wouldn't get a killer headache.

Quinn almost strode over to the insolent boy and waked him over the head. "Didn't your mother ever teach you manners, Mr Chase?" she sneered at the boy. How dare he! she thought but the next came a quite a blow, "thirty fo ..." she trailed off, totally flabbergasted.
No, Quinn, she reprimanded herself just before she lunged for the brat's throat, contain yourself. You'll have another enquiry on your hands again if you do that and that would be rather annoying ... again. She cleared her throat, straightened her posture and robes. "Well, you followed me," she said blandly, "well done. A blind door mouse could have done that. Why did you follow me?"

"I just missed tracking animals, and since I can't hunt wild beast then I'll track you." he said answering her question. "If I was a real threat then you'd be dead, you know that don't you?" he asked. "Just keep your guard up and you'll be fine." he said glad that he pissed her off. "No really, you look about 23, and I'm 20. That's not much of a difference." he said truthfully.

Quinn frowned. Twenty? she thought, that isn't much difference but it's enough. "Your honesty is refreshing," she said slowly, "but it's nothing out of the ordinary." She often had to get the truth out of people by any means necessary and she always succeeded.
"But you haven't answered my question. Why do I merit the tracking? Is your simple unemployed life so meaninglessly boring you have to take to tracking helpless females in a creepy wood?" She took a step towards him as she spoke, her green eyes shining dangerously. What is he up to? Quinn asked herself.

"Well" he said pausing while his eyes turned green, "you seemed like a witch, witch is obviously true, and you were following a friend. You may have been a murderer, and I had to make sure my friend was safe." he said blinking so his eyes would turn blue. "Wouldn't you?" he asked knowing that she probably wouldn't answer his question, just ask another.

Protecting a friend, she thought doubtfully, how improbable. She smirked at the boy. "You think someone like me would do anything for anyone else that I was not ordered to, do you?" She spat the question out as though he was an idiot and she was beginning to think he was, a slimy, slick idiot!

"So your a lap dog?" he asked now angry at how she made her response. "You take order and do them? Man, and people think I'm an idiot, witch I am not." he said calm and careless. "Have you ever done anything that wasn't from the Ministry or anyone else?" he asked in a sort of rude manner.

[Okay i need to find my head]
The darkness that surrounded her seemed as perfect as day in her eyes. If not better. Everything was silent, though she felt like someone was watching her. In the back of her mind she knew if they were going to try anything they would have done by now.
The paths of the forest wound around the trees and small bushes. The eerie silence was enough to put anyone off, but not Kim. She stopped. A voice, unrecogniseable to her ears. "Could say the same about you, whoever you are" she said in a quiet menacing tone.
A few seconds later, another voice. A male one. One she did know. Chase. "Yes, im still here. I will go when i feel like going. For now, im sticking around."
Kim's attitude had changed considerably, even to those she used to class as friends. Now she felt like the only one she would rely on was herself. "Im always fine Chase, you know me"
She stood there, her back to them both. Listening to them both bicker like two years olds. It was growing tiresome. She raised her hand to her head and shook it in her hand. "Are you two going to stand their all night and bicker like children? You are both beginning to bug me, just shut up" She said quietly and began to walk again.
She had no time anymore for those that tried to rip one another apart. And she had figured that the woman was a ministry official. And she definatly had no time for them.

Quinn sneered at the boy as he insulted her. "Well at least I have a job," she spat. She was growing tired of this game and was about to say something she would more then likely regret when the blond piped up. Quinn slowly turned her head to face the girl.
She had been worried about the girl, if she was honest with herself. She glared a hole in the back of her head and turned her body to face her as well. "It speaks!" she said, surprise and sarcasm dripping from her every word. Quinn walked around the girl and faced her. "You shouldn't wonder around the forest," she said, "neither of you should."
She took a deep breath and a step back. She gazed nonchalantly at the two gathered. What a miss-match bunch of misfits, she thought, glaring at the two. "Now," she said finally, "if you don't mind, I'm here for a reason, one that either of you will be able to comprehend. So, Mr Chase, girl," she glared at each of them in turn, "excuse me." She turned sharply on her heal and walked off, shaking her head at the riffraff that was coming from that most prestigious school.
