She growled in recognition, and smiled with her eyes the way only a dragon can. She scratched the floor again, only knowing the most basic of words, but hopefully knowing enough so she could make herself known.
She wrote with her claw:
Shiela.
She looked at the girl again, drawing her tail up and over her face to point at herself, before letting off a small grunt.
Is thing good? She wrote again in the dirt, underneath her name.
She looked at the girl and waited for her response.

Kim watched as the dragon wrote something else. Watching carefully as it seemed to write. Kim looked at the dragon when it looked at her, "So... Your name's Shiela? I guess that makes you a girl right?" Kim smiled. "Im Kim" she told her. At least she now knew the dragons name.
Kim nodded as she read what else the dragon said, "Yeah, its good" she told her. Kim looked at Shiela, her eyes full of wonder. She hadnt ever met a dragon that could spell before.

Shiela rubbed the words away before looking smugly at Kim. She flared her wings slightly casting a slight wind over the dirt and flicking up Kims hair, before it settled down on her face. She growled in a laughing way before standing and walking over to the lava and looking into the dazzling display of light, the shifting and vibrant colours all mixing togethers.
She felt the heat but she was used to it, her own breath was as equally hot or hotter than this, a fact she wore proudly. She turned to look at Kim and lulled her tongue out before snapping her mouth shut.

Kim was looking around the cave now, not really noticing much else since it seemed like Sheila wasnt going to be writing anything else in the dirt. She took note of the cave and her surroundings, it was hot in here but Kim didnt mind. She took her robe off and put it to the ground reliving her of some of the heat anyway.
Her hair flew back and bits of dirt and dust settled on her face, she wasnt aware until she looked, that Shiela had actually flared her wings and made it. Kim kept her gaze on the creature and smiled, her smile turned to a laugh as the only thing she could figure was that she was sticking her tongue out at Kim. Kim stuck her tongue out back at the dragon. Her mind kept coming back to when she had travelled to the desert while she had been away, the dragon she met there... But Kim didnt know if Sheila was that dragon. She thought the other dragon was... Bigger.
