Athena looked over at her companion, shock in her eyes. "You and I are quite the pair aren't we?" Athena asked not quite wanting an answer. "Your father isn't really in the picture and here I am complaining about mine being ill. Here we both are mother's gone and father's not exactly all there. You do have a very beautiful voice, damn, I am really not good at this conversation thing. I am used to being ignored and invisible here." Athena looked to the horizon seeing the shadow of the castle that the full moon provided. "We are almost out Dean."

Dean laughed sourly "Ya. We are." he replied. "Aw, you're not that bad at- to quote you- this conversation thing." Dean looked up at the moon and his green eyes shone with an unrecognizable emotion... maybe honesty. He sighed and leaned against a tree. "Sometimes I wish I could jsut disappear, me and Ariane... just run away from the family problems and that damn Charles Swift" he cursed and clenched his fist with anger.

Athena looked over at her companion and saw something in his eyes that was absent from most men's eyes, and emotion she just couldn't put a word to. " I feel the same way sometimes but father insists I finish my schooling and marry a proper wizard. I cannot believe in this day and age my father still believes that women are only good once married. I swear if mother were still around my life would be different. I went to live with father after mother died. Sorry you didn't need to know that. Who is Charles Swift?" Athena looked to Dean for a response.

Dean heaved a great sigh "Charles Swift is the definition of everything pestulant, evil and keniving((sp?  )). He's the one reason that I refuse to just up and leave this school. Charles Swift is the guy who haunts my sister and I plan to get rid of him as soon as possible." he took a deep breath and began telling Athena the story. "Ariane and Charles met in their first year, and I thought that he was just a misunderstood kid that should have been sorted into Gryffindor. They were great friends and I could see for the first time in a long time that Ariane was comepletely happy with her life, with the occasional snag but she wouldn't complain... then in their second year they began to date and I didn't see any problem with it... Ariane was, and is, a smart girl and wouldn't do anyting that she didn't want to. I was happy for her, and she was delighted about it to. Then their third year rolled around and Ariane wasn't very... pleased to say the least to find out that Charles had been cheating on her. She broke it off with him and ever since he's been stalking and hexing and slipping Love Potions into her drinks, all of it just because he wants her back." Dean fell silent for a few moments and then he looked into Athena's eyes "I'm pretty sure that after I'm gone from this school Ariane's life is just going to get harder." he ran a hand down his tired face and sighed "I'm sorry." he muttered "I shouldn't have dumped all of that on you" |

"It's alright... I handle alot in my life and it's good to unload on someone anyone... So Swift is Slytherin right? Let me see what I can do. If he's a smart guy which I think he may be. He'll know the name of Rupert LeStrange. I pull that name out to him and I'm sure he'll back away from your sister! I hate guys that think they need to control someone. I promis you, I'll have a talk with him!" Athena stated with force. Athena placed her hand upon Dean's shoulder. "Come on it's really late, we need to get back to the castle before they come looking for us. I'd hate to run into that Lamb guy again."
Athena looked to Dean hoping, and thinking. "Please goddess don't take this friend away from me. Let him be a good friend."
Athena sighed heavily.

Dean chuckled "Ya, come on." he bowed down and offered Athena his arm "May I escort you to the Commen Room my fair lady?" he said with a high-pitched steriotypical English accent. He gave her a cheesy grin and raised one of his eyebrows, laughing slightly.

Athena took Dean's arm and laughed softly at the over enthuasistic accent he produced. "So when can we get lost together again?" Athena asked her traveling companion. "Let's get your sister in on it too. If anything I can make a new friend and it will keep that jerk Swift away from her." Athena stated.
She and Dean enjoyed a nearly quite walk back to the castle.

Dean laughed "That would be fun. Ariane loves the night... especially hwen there's a hiunt of danger to it. she'd probably want ot go hunting the most dangerous animal in there" he stopped as they arrived at the Commen Room Door "ladies first" he offered .

Athena glanced at Dean as she entered the portrait hole. "Thank you kind sir!" Athena stated full heartedly. "Till tomorrow or whenever Athena stated as she began walking to her dorm room. She looked back thinking to herself, "If he wasn't a year younger than I we may have had a chance." She gave him one last smile and went to bed.
