'We all have our reasons for doing things.' Jerred said quietly to himself, looking away slightly, but when he heard about the Shrieking Shack again he had to laugh.
'What? Me? Arrogant? Nah, just confident in my own abilities, besides, who wouldn't be if you were me?' He said, putting his hands on his hips and puffing his chest as he raised his head in a hero pose. The wind suddenly whipped at the right time, blowing his hair back as he finished the pose, making it a little more believable.

Kim laughed at Jerred. She couldnt help but not laugh at him. She shook her head before crossing her arms over her chest, "Still a bit full of yourself arent you?" she spoke before looking over to the forest. She watched for a minute as the trees waved in time with the wind. "So we going then? Or do you have a better idea?" She asked, returning her gaze back to him.

'Going? You actually want to go?' Jerred said in mocked surprise, all an act. ''Yeah, sure, let's go.' Jerred said, turning on his heel doing a full turn to face Kim again. 'But why? We know what's there or what was there and there was nothing... Unless there's more... reaons why you want to go?' Jerred smiled innocently at Kim as he turned away from, taking a few steps before looking back once more.

Kim shrugged, "Well unless Mr Smart can think of something else to do, its the only thing i can think of. Besides, if i remember rightly, last time didnt go so well, and there was the locked door, and the fact we couldnt get past that ghoul thing" She said. She looked at him and crossed her arms, she watched him swing back round to her and by surprise she stepped back a couple of steps, "Uhm.. what?" she said, her voice catching in her throat, she hadnt even thought of why she wanted to go there, she didnt even know herself.

'Are you coming or what? LEt's go unless you're having second thoughts?' Jerred said over his his shoulder as he slowly walked away, putting his hands in his pockets as he leapt over stones and onto larger rocks, seeing for how long he could hold his balance. He looked over at Kim and smiled, seeing the look on her face.
'Come on! Let's go!' HE called out.

Kim sighed, it was her idea, she didnt really have much of a choice now. Though the whole balancing on rocks thing, she'd happily leave that to Jerred. Kim began to walk slowly towards him. "Keep you pants on already" She said "Im on my way"
She walked over to him and gave him a little poke in his side to see if he'd lose his balance and fall off. It would give Kim something to laugh about.

Jerred finally saw Kim walk up to him, but when she finally reached him she poked him. He fell forward over the rocks, out of sight and hid there, landing on his feet in a curled ball. He had to silence a loud laugh immediatel, before having to let out a loud moan to fake severe pain after a supposed harsh landing.
Before he could let Kim come and find him, he jumped up onto the rock and jumped down and smiled, stretching slightly before looking at her and crossing his arms with a smug smile on his face.
'Fooled ya, didn't I?' He said, feigning a deep arrogance.

Kim thought she had hurt Jerred, which was not her intention. As she walked forward he sprung up, making her jump a little. "Yeah, you did a little" she said in a relaxed voice.
She walked over to him and folded her arms, tapping her foot on the ground and raising her eyebrow at him. He was still the joker, that much was still clear to her, though, how much he'd changed over the years, she was still curious to find out.

'What? I did nothing I usually don't do!' Jerred said, struggling to keep a smile down. It failed. 'Besides, being serious all the time... is boring and when I'm bored I usually do strange... stranger things then when... I'm not... bored... NOW I'M GOING AROUND IN CIRCLES!!!!' He cried out, pretending to pull his hair out as well as act crazy.
He looked at Kim with a crazed look in his eye, as well as the smile that he always wore. 'Now, what can I do to you know?' He said in devilishly way.

Kim stepped back in surprise as Jerred, for some reason, began to trip over his words. She couldnt help but laugh, "You... are... a... complete... nutjob" she gasped inbetween breaths. She tried to catch her breath and stop laughing so she could look at him, her eyes watering now.
Kim looked at him, "Well you could decide what were doing" she told him "I dont know about you, but im beginning to get really bored stood here"

'Babe, I'd rather be a complete nutjob then be a boring, unmotivated pile of trash.' Jerred replied with, grinning toothily.
'Well, if you're bored standing there, take a step left, or right, it don't matter!' JErred said, throwing his hands into the air wildly, before leaping forward and taking Kims hand and beginning to run, dragging her along afterwards. 'Shrieking Shack, here we come!'

Kim laughed, at least if she could count on him for one thing, it was making her laugh.
She stopped laughing and dropped her hands by her side, looking to the left and right of her she raised an eyebrow at his remark. Before Kim knew what was happening, he had hold of her hand and running off, shouting about the shrieking shack.

'What's wrong?' Jerred said, stopping soon after and looking at Kim. 'Oh...' Jerred looked down and let go of Kims hand right away. He felt his cheeks warm slightly before looking at her face.
'Umm... momentary moment of momentary weakness?' He said, grinning sheepishly. If there was one thing Jerred never did much of, it was being embarrassed.

"Nothings wrong" She answered. She felt him let go of her hand as it fell limply to her side once more. She smiled at him to try and show she didnt mind really, it was just a bit strange.
"Everyone has those" she muttered to herself as she looked down at the ground. She felt like there was still a bit of awkward feelings between the two of them, like they were both trying to be careful how they acted around each other, or sidestepping words and phrases. Kim wasnt sure if this was better or worse.
