Scott needed to get away. It was only his first week here and already he was thought of as a "trouble maker" at least by Grace and Andie. He didn't mind them at all, in fact, he actually enjoyed their company, it was just the "I have more authority over you" attitude that bothered him.
Scott stood near the lake, wondering if the water was too cold to swim in yet. He pondered whether or not he should go in anyway when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around and it was one of the people he least expected....

Andie smiled and gave a small wave. "Hey Scott. What's up?" Andie looked at the sky, it was a clear day, the sky was blue with little puffy white clouds, there was a nice breeze, and the air was crisp and refreshing. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" she commented absently.

Scott smiled and laughed, "Hey Andie," he said turning back to the lake, "Yeah, I guess it is quite nice out today," he answered, "Well, considering that it's late in the year."
Scott turned back to her, "So what brings you out here? Come to get me in trouble again?" he teased. "Or is it that you can't get enough of me yet?" he asked with a mischievous grin.

Andie laughed. "Now Scott, you were out after curfew. Remember?" she flashed a quirky grin. "Actually, I come out here to think."

Scott laughed, "Yeah but only b'cause I got lost. You can't exactly blame that one on me," He stuck his hands in his pockets, "Besides, how do I know it wasn't you that caused me to get lost in the first place?" he asked, his eyes sparkling.
Scott changed the subject a little, "Yeah, I guess the fresh air is good for thinking. I prefer where there is complete silence. A place where I think nobody will be." Scott shrugged, "It's hard to find a place like that now."

Andie raised her eyebrows questioniongly, "And how exactly could I make you get lost? Hmm?" she asked playfully as her emerald green eyes sparkled with humor. Andie sighed. "Yeah, the lake is a good place to think... especially when you have alot on your mind." she added quietly.

Scott laughed, "I don't know, it was just an interesting theory I came up with on my way down here. I wanted to see how you'd react to it, I guess," he said, looking at the ground and finding a place to sit down.
He sighed as he looked at the sky, "I guess the lake would have a calming effect on some people, but I've been around water my whole life and I don't get that feeling anymore. I suppose it all depends on how you were brought up," Scott concluded as he looked at Andie.

Andie nodded. "It doesn't matter to me as long as I'm outside. Water, wind, birds, trees, flowers... they all pretty much have a calming effect on me. I just love being outside." she smiled at Scott. "What about you? You prefer to stay inside or outside?"

Scott thought for a moment, "You know, I never really thought about it. It pretty much depends on my mood. There are times when I'd rather stay inside than go outside," Scott answered, "I'm sure you've had your moments where you wanted to stay inside instead of going outside, am I right?" he asked.

Andie chuckled. "No, I actually hate being stuck inside. No matter what! I especially love to be outside when it's raining. I love the feel of rain against my skin. It's so refreshing."

Scott nodded, he too liked to be outside in the rain and knew what she was talking about, "You can sit down, you know," he said noticing she was still standing, "But if you don't want to, I'm not gonna force you," he said laughing.
He looked around the grounds and noticed a group of hufflepuffs a ways down the beach chatting away, "I used to be like that with my friends back at the muggle schools I attended," he said motioning to the chatty group, "Those were the days," he said remembering his past.

Andie nodded absently. "I've never been one to have a posse per say. A few good friends, yeah. But a whole crowd that just follows me around? Nah... I'm more of a loner. What about you?" she asked curiously as she sat down and took off her socks and shoes then climbed on a large rock and dipped her feet into the lake.

Scott shrugged, "Well, as of late, I've found myself hanging around a bunch of Slytherins. But at my old school I guess you could say I was the leader. It's hard trying to please everyone and I ultimatly became sick of it."
Scott sighed, "Life goes on, though and you try to make the best of it. I'm actually glad that I don't have that many friends anymore," he said with a laugh.

Andie frowned curiously. "Why?" she inquired as she swung her legs back and forth.

Daley had been sitting in her common room, wondering what to do with the glorious day. It was very nice out, so she ultimately decided to take her daughter, Cecelia, down to the lake to play. The water had been warm enough in their native France, so why shouldn't it be here. When she got down to the lake, Cecelia in one arm and a few towels in the other, she came upon one of her fellow Gryffindors, whom she had seen around the castle, and a ravenclaw who seemed very kind. Kind people were who she needed, at the moment, what with coming to a new school and all. And in a country no less! She approached them.
"Hello, my name is Daley," She congratulated herself on her perfect English. "Daley Lyndon. And this is my daughter, Cecelia. Do you mind if we join you?"
