Ella stepped out into the bright sunshine, shielding her eyes from the bright rays. It was a beautiful day. For the past week it had been raining nonstop. It was nice to finally have a chance to escape the castle. She squinted her blue eyes, adjusting them to the light as she started down the steps. Ella hopped the last two. It was a habit she had picked up ever since her first year. She felt free without her school robes and uniform, dressed in a pair of old jeans and a white tank top. Her yellow converse shoes made dull thuds against the path as she headed towards the lake.
Here and there, a few students were scattered about the grounds to enjoy the nice weather. Ella smiled and waved at the few she recognized. Other than that, she was on her own at the moment. She finally reached the edge of the lake and looked out over the glassy surface. The lake was always one of her favorite places to go. It was a pretty view. She dropped onto the grass before laying back, one arm folded behind her head and the other resting on her stomach. She watched the puffy white clouds a moment before allowing her eyes to flutter shut and she relaxed.

Narcissa was still in her light blue tanktop. She didn't feel like getting all dressed up today, so she let her hair fall naturally, and stayed in her jeans. It was a beautiful day, and she was bored. Spotting someone next to the lake, she approached them. She hadn't ever seen the girl, but she was a Hufflepuff. She decided that it was best to say something, once the girl turned and saw her. "Hi," Narcissa started, brushing a strand of her hair away from her face. She didn't usually talk to Hufflepuff's, but there wasn't really anyone else out here. She was bored, and had nothing else to spend her time doing.

Ella had been dozing off. The sun's warm rays felt good against her skin and made it almost impossible not to fall asleep. The earlier part of her day had been complete chaos. Nothing had gone right and everything had been mess. She was late to class, her term paper was lost, and her favorite bag had ripped and spilled her belonging everywhere. This was just making up for everything that had made her day such a bad one.
Ella suddenly heard a voice and she jumped slightly. She hadn't even heard anyone coming. Her eyes fluttered open to see a girl standing over her. Ella sat up, pushing a stray strand of blonde hair behind her ear. " Hi." She greeted, giving the girl a shy smile. " Um. I'm Ella." She introduced herself. Now was one of those times she wished she wasn't so shy. It made it hard to talk to new people. This girl looked slightly familiar though. Ella thought she might be a Slytherin, but couldn't be sure.

Warren was sitting cross-legged near the lake, moodily. He had dropped his sandwich on the ground in his efforts to balance his bag on his shoulder, a book in one hand and his meal in the other, all at the same time. It had gone fairly well for the most part, and he was inches from his destination when a protruding root that he could've sworn hadn't been there before seemingly tripped him.
With a long sigh, placing his book mark between his pages, he threw another piece of his sandwich toward a cluster of birds. He wasn't the type to feed animals, usually too proper to do such a thing, but there was no need to waste food.
Peering at the water, making a face at a shrake, he almost toppled forward into the lake when a few voices caught his attention.
Scowling, he turned to them and threw a piece of his sandwich near where they were sitting. The birds immediately flocked over, though not as violently as he would've hoped. "Some of us are trying to read, you know!"
He knew he was being childish, as the voices hadn't even been the slightest bit loud, but he always had been a bit unreasonable.

The other girl didn't even have time to say anything before something flew out of the sky and landed at Ella's feet. She stared at it a few moments, raising her eyebrows slightly. It looked like a sandwich. Actually, it was only part of a sandwich. Confused and curious, Ella looked around her before spotting a Raveclaw boy only a few feet away. Maybe he had thrown it. Ella looked back at the sandwich to see two birds had now decided it was their lunch. " Get outa here!" Ella shouted, trying to scare them off.
Ella looked at the boy and noticed the other half of the sandwich in his hand. " Excuse me?" She asked, still puzzled. According to him they had been talking too loud. Well, Ella didn't think so but then again she wasn't him. " Um..I'm sorry? We'll try to keep it down."

Narcissa was surprised when a piece of a sandwich flew in fron of her and a Hufflepuff she now knew to be named Ella. She looked around, wondering where it came from. Spotting a Ravenclaw boy behind them, she turned her attention to him. With a wave of her wand, the sandwich was picked up and thrown away from them, bringing the birds with it. Narcissa noticed that Ella was rather shy. She didn't want to be rude, but she wasn't going to let some Ravenclaw boy walk all over them. "Excuse me? We were barely talking. If it bothers you that much, maybe you should go inside where there isn't many people, and theres a place to put your stuff so you don't have to throw things at innocent people who just want to enjoy the sun." She looked to the boy awaiting his reaction. With a flip of her long blonde locks, she turned from the boy. "Hey, my name is Narcissa Black," She smiled, still awaiting the guy's next move.
