It was now or never; she had been letting those five simple words run through her mind since ignoring the world for the past few days. Was she nervous? Bloody hell, yes. Talking meant letting things come up she didn't want to come up. Like feelings. Feelings were for normal people, not Slytherins. But she was damned the first moment she was forced from the life of an aristocrat and placed in this bloody house. "So much for aristocratic immunity," she muttered beneath her breath, having recieved a detention for skipping earlier that day. Her father was bound to kill her.
She dressed in a simple, well dressed school uniform, legs folded off to the side. She was actually sitting on the ground, and not freaking out because of dirt and bugs. Things sure had changed for Vanessa. |

Walk and think. What to do? What to do? Maeve asked herself mentally, walking down to the lake. She had nothing to do all day since she couldn't find Aiden. He must've at Quidditch practice for the Gryffindors. Life had changed for the powerful names in Slytherin. They only hoped that their parents wouldn't find out.
Maeve looked up from the ground and saw a site she'd never thought she see. Then again, Slytherins and Gryffindors falling in love is the thing I never thought I'd see or be apart of. she countered. But, this was a little surprising. Vanessa was sitting down on the ground. Holy crap, the world was ending as Maeve knew it!
Walking up silently behind Vanessa, Maeve yelled, "OH MY MERLIN! SHE'S SITTING ON THE GROUND! THE WORLD'S ENDING!" she laughed.

Vanessa laid on her back, moving her hands to rest behind her head. She thought about getting up when she heard Maeve's voice, but did otherwise. It took her a moment to say anything, laying completely still. "I guess I've changed a bit," she said simply, closing her eyes.
"I actually wore..jeans yesterday, believe it or not. They're annoyingly uncomfortable," she wrinkled her nose. "But I still don't see what the big deal is." |

Maeve's laugh died down when she went to sit by Vanessa. She nodded. "Yeah, I think we're all getting bit by something 'cause everyone's changing." she stated. "But, what's changed about you? Besides you sitting on the ground."
Maeve grinned. "You wore jeans? The tight kind or loose kind? If you wore the tight kind, I understand, they're not very comfy. But the loose, baggy ones," she tugged on her own jeans she was wearing at the moment since she changed after last class. "These things are really comfy, give you room to move around in. And they look cool when you rip them." she pointed to the heels where her school shoes created holes in the bottom leg part, then pointed to her knees where she ripped them on purpose.

Vanessa lifted her head, giving a long and slow sigh. "Well.. I know this sounds crazy, but lately, I've seriously been doubting my parents all together. I use to be fine with everything, but now It's like I can't stand them," she said, gulping in a half nervous manner.
She clasped her hands on top of one another, shutting her eyes. "I think they were kinda tight, but.. I look ridiculous in jeans, Maeve!" |
