Kim remembered the times when Hogwarts was left alone, left to its own devices and everyone managed rather well on their own didnt they? Everyone had everyone they needed. The students had their friends and the professors to keep them on track, they didnt need all this Ministry interferance did they? No, or at least Kim didnt think so. They had all gotten by alright and now these people were here along with their damned reporters ready to dig up old pasts that should lay in the past forgotten where they belonged, who needed things that happened so long ago, brought back up again?
It was pointless!
She had decided, just for one night, to try not to think about the arrogance and god knows what else of the ministry, and one way to do that? Relax. Though how she could relax in her dorm with those idiotic girls snoring and mumbling away about boys she didnt know, that just infuriated her even more. And even at this time of night, the common room was full of people so she couldnt relax there either. The forest wasnt exactly a place one goes to to relax either so where else was there?
By the time these thoughts left her mind she found herself stood on the edge of the Black Lake. The waters edge, she could hear the sound of the moving water, the sounds of the owls in the owlery, their hoots carried over the wind. The sound of the wind in the leaves, she felt herself relaxing instantly and knew this would be the place she would choose to relax tonight.
Taking up a seat under an old oak tree she gazed out along the water top, she could see the moon reflected in small ripples in the middle and she could see the stars twinkling above. She let out a long sigh and drew her cloak around her, not out of coldness, but out of comfort. One thing Kim couldnt claim to have at this moment.
