(G.Hall) The Sweet Sound of Music

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ash led the way into the Great Hall, he, Bray, and Fay had formed a band named Calypso, and today was their first official practice. Walking into the room, he waved his wand setting up a small stage complete with speakers, and microphone in a back corner od the room so it wouldn't be in the way. He wasn't sure if they would be allowed to practice in here, but he hoped they would. "Alright guys, let's set up." he said turning to his friends.

[Felicity Locke]

Felicity ran her fingers through her hair as she looked around the room. No students were in here at the moment, probably off at classes or something. Fay sighed and silently hoped that a teacher wouldn't come yell at them. "Alright." She waved her wand and her drums floated to the back part of the stage. Felicity also had another microphone stand in her hand, just in case she wanted to sing.

"We better set some spells to dampen the sound so the whole school doesn't hear us and we disturb classes or something."

Ash nodded in agreement. "Good idea. Don't want any professor's coming in and yelling at us for disturbing class." he replied.

[Bradyn Reed]

Bradyn walked in a little after his friends, his guitar strap over his shoulder and the guitar flush against his back. "Sounds good to me." He said and pulled his wand out of his pocket, doing the honor since he was closest to the doors. "Muffliato!" Then he stuck his wand back into his jeans pocket, pulling his robes off and tossing them onto the Ravenclaw table. It was always easier to play without his big robes stifling his movement.

"So, first practice, aye guys?" He said, grinning a little. Bray thought they should just appreciate the moment. "First of many, of course."

Ash nodded and smiled, "You guys ready to make some rockin music?" he asked. Jumping up onto the stage, he grabbed the microphone. "Can you hear me?" he asked into the microphone, testing the device.

[Felicity Locke]

Felicity flung her robe on top of Bray's and placed her microphone on the stage, off to the side a bit. She chose a special outfit for the event, it was one of her favorites: black tank with a dark teal short sleaved jean jacket thrown over it complete with a skirt the same color that went just above her knees. Oh, and one could not forget her black boots that she loved oh so dearly.

Fay plopped down on her stool and twirled her drumsticks. "Pick a song someone to warm up."

[Bradyn Reed]

Bradyn pulled his guitar off his back and grinned. He'd made special effort to look nice, and it was apparent that he wasn't the only one. He'd straightened his hair and it clung low to his face with his dark raven shade. He also wore a pair of older, darker jeans and would never admit that they were tighter than he expected when he had put them on. If anyone noticed, he'd just punched them, anyway.

Jumping onto the stage as well, he reached into his pocket for plectrum . "Yeah, what'll be our first song?" He, of course, had a few ideas of muggle songs that he loved and thought they should try.

Ash nodded approvingly at Fay, "Nice outfit." he said. It was similar to his own actually. Except that Ash was wearing black skinny jeans, with a white studded belt, and a black t-shirt that said in red script...

Tonight I'll sit outside
I'll stay until I'm numb
Maybe when I'm frozen
I'll understand what I've become...

He had also put blue streaks in his raven hair, and had his lip ring in. He definitely looked like your typical emo/punk rocker.


((i know it's really emo. sorry! just thought it was cool. plus Ash is emo anyway!))

[Felicity Locke]

Felicity grinned at Bray and flicked some of his hair as he walked past. "Straighten your hair more often, looks nice." She nodded to Ash as he complimented her. Fay eyed the lip ring and grinned. "Your accesories are amusing Ashy."

She tapped lightly on the cymbol. "I know a few muggle songs if anyone cares." Felicity looked back at Bray and Ash. "Unless you guys have some songs."

[Bradyn Reed]

Bradyn grinned at Fay. "I know, that's why I don't do it. Don't want a fangirl population after me, 'cause Bry would just make you go out and spite them all." He said and winked a bit at her. Ash looked extra emo, that was unsurprising. But they all looked a little more emo than usual today, and Bray guessed that the rock spirit had gotten them.

"I can play a few muggle songs, too. And I might be able to take a bass part if necessary for a song. But I'd have to get my hands on one." He said, deciding that if they were going to strut their stuff, now would be the time.

Ash laughed. "Oh you know you love my jewlery!" He teased Lissie. "I do have a song that I wrote that I want to practice, but I'll let you two decide first." He replied

[Felicity Locke]

"Well, what about one of the songs you guys were singing in the corridor eh? All of us probably know one of those." Felicity tapped her foot, wanting to start already.

"And you know how much I would love to fend off rabid fan girls." She grinned. "Can't I have any fan guys fall for me?"

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ash nodded, "Alright, how bout we do... Thanks For The Memories? And Fay? Don't worry, I'm sure you'll have plenty of rabid fanboys!"

[Bradyn Reed]

Bradyn grinned at Fay. "Well, if you really wanted to, you could always try." Then he tested his guitar out even though he knew it was in perfect condition since he'd been playing it late last night.

"Well, there's this one song I think we should sing.. want me to show you and you can say whether you like it or not?" He said, and started to play the beginning cords. After a bit, he started singing slowly with each word emphasized.

The guitar picked up to a faster beat, as did his singing.

Ash listened as Bray started the song, recognising it, picked up his microphone and contiued where Bray left off. "The night is full of holes
