Bellatrix turned around and rolled her eyes slowly at Nathan. "Honey, I am widely remarked as one of the most evil Slytherins at this school, so sorry, but your insults dont really hurt. Its just that I, unlike you, have better things to do than pick fights. Even with students of my own house. Slytherins are supposed to be loyal to Slytherins, but you are insufferable. And at least I am able to attract someone. Unlike you."

Sophie continued to smile doggedly, her high spirits were not going to be quashed by anyone; let alone Holloway who stupidly decided to go on the offensive against her immediately; he was always so defensive of his house, when there was really no need, she rarely disputed the fact that purebloods were better, as it was simply a pointless argument that Slytherins tended to stubbornly refuse to give in.
"Bellatrix, ok I'll remember that, hopefully, but with all the exam nerves it's just like mega rushing off my feet at the minute, wheep, hectic." Said Sophie enthusiastically, with obvious enjoyment derived from two Slytherins at loggerheads, it made a nice welcome change.
"Ah Nathan don't take offense so easily, I didn't actually tell you to study, cause I know you will be." Sophie spoke reassuringly but was careful not to slip into a patronising tone. "May the best person win, and I to plan to, though actually Elijah's the cleverest here by far and no mistake, top of his classes the geek," She teased lightly having noticed his grin as Nathan had rounded upon her.
"I've haven't heard much of you Bellatrix, I'm sorry, and what's the point in being evil; nobody likes you then and the fiersome reputation is all in vain; better to be loved I'd say." She commented whilst twirling her long hair between her fingers and smiling pleasantly still.
"Loyalty is pretty important Nathan, even Gryffindors stick together." She grinned a trained eye would notice that she was playing them off, one against the other, but they quite probably wouldn't have the wits to see it; few people really did, even Elijah didn't know just how clever Sophie could be. To all present she would seem kind and generous, which she really was generally, her uncle's ways had somewhat rubbed off on her though.

"Well then Hargreaves, you must have been living under a rock. And you are a Gryffindor, therefore you would say that," Bella smirked.

"Oh no Bellatrix," responded Sophie, seriously but still sweetly, "I've heard of you, just nothing particularly bad; the usual giggling and making fun of people, I mean my source is always reliable; Scott told me, you do know him don't you?" She asked feeling quite puzzled, from what Scott had said they were great friends, and Sophie had actually been looking forward to finally meeting her, Scott wasn't a fool he tended to befriend worthwhile people.
"Brooks spoke to me as if he knew you quite intimately, from the forest I think he said. Though why either of you went in there is beyond me, it's really dangerous you know, the stories aren't just tales made to spook us, some are actually true, admittedly the dozens of vampires in there obviously aren't, but I've heard rumour that students have been approached by centaurs even. It's crazy in there." She stated.
"Yeah I know I'm a Gryffindor and there's the usual stupid prejudice between our houses, but you can at least give someone a try," you gave Scott a try didn't you? She thought but then again he is a lad and... realisation sunk in fully, rumours had been abound, but she hadn't believed they were true were they actually together? Wow I didn't expect that. She thought with a grin emerging, good on them, it's about time stupid barriers were broken down.
Smiling pleasantly at Bellatrix, Sophie maintained eye contact, mainly due to her decent manners, though she actually wanted to gaze out at the lake, it was always so beautiful this time of year, eerie, but beautiful nonetheless.

Narcissa walked up to her sister, who seemed to be disagreeing with everyone around her. She smiled down at her. "Whats wrong Bella? I couln't find you anywhere." Her sister looked upset. She smiled politly at a Gryffindor she didn't know, but pulled her hair out of her ponytail. She smirked at her again, and sat beside her sister.

(ooc little confused there, did Narcissa pull Sophie's hair out her actually non-existant ponytail? Well I'll run with that anyways but could you be a little more precise in future please, only a couple of lines is difficult to reply to, thankyou )
As another Slytherin girl came onto the scene whom Sophie recognised from a number of lessons, and also the family resemblance was quite plain, she presumed this was Narcissa Black. Smiling pleasantly to her as she apprpoached she waved in recognition of her presence. "Hiya, Narcissa is it?" She asked worry etched into her face, she hated getting people's names wrong; it was always so embarrassing. She was about to further the greeting by a warm shake of the hand, but guessed being as only her mother's side of the family was of pure blood, she probably wouldn't want a contamination of sorts; what ridiculous notions pureblooded people seemed to hold, they were all the same, and there was nothing that would change that, the sooner Slytherins in particular realised this the better.
But Sophie knew she was bringing her own prejudices to the fore, due to rumours she guessed they were actually correct, but she was willing to give anybody a chance. But Sophie was exceedingly puzzled by Narcissa reaching up as if to pat her head like a dog, about to give an indignant huff, or a slap if she did anything too patronising, her eyes grew wide as she proceeding to undo her lovely ponytail, it had taken her ages to choose how to style her hair that morning, so she wasn't best pleased, her eyes narrowed ever so slightly, but then an idea came to her; continue to beat them at their own game.
"Oh do you think my hair looks better down? Well I suppose it might, maybe if you ruffle yours up a bit," Sophie's expression was serious but inside she rolled around with laughter as she ruffled Narcissa's hair up, though it actually did make a slight improvement; a more natural look, Narcissa was unlikely to agree.
Smiling sweetly still Sophie spoke out yearning for gossip, "do you know if Bella loves Scott? Only she's keeping quiet on the subject."

(she wasnt pulling your hair out, she was pulling her own. she always does that.)
Bella immediately brightened. "Yes I know Scott," Bella sighed. "I'm sorry, it's just that with these two irking me to no end!" Bella threw a glare at Nathan and the other kid. "I didnt mean to be rude. Ever since I met Scott, I have accepted Gryffindors more," Bella turned and burned Nathan with a glare. "And if that makes me not a true Slytherin, then so be it."

Narcissa at first, was stunned that someone would dare to touch her gorgeous blonde hair, but she decided she didn't really care. She was about to do that anyway, and her hair looked beautiful no matter what she did with it. So, arrogently she replied, "Thanks," and sat down next to her sister. She crossed her thin, toned legs, and leaned back on both of her hands. "So, Bella, what have you been up to?" She looked to her sister, and hearing the Gryffindor speak, she decided to reply. "Yeah, i'm Narcissa." She smirked and returned to her conversation with her sister. There was no need to go into detail about herself. The Black's were very well known. Cissy felt a lock of her natural curls fall over her eye. She brushed it away, while listening to the girl, who she thought was named Sophie, press on about Bella and Scott.

"Not much," Bella conceeded. "I was pretty depressed about Scott, but now everything's okay, so I'm a happy camper."
Bella conjured a quilted tourquoise and pink quilt and laid it on the ground. Now that Elijah and Nathan weren't bothering her, she decided that she'd like to talk more with Sophie about Scott, and catch up with her sister. As well as catch some sun.
She laid back on her blanket and relaxed. "Narcissa, conjure some lemonade." Bella ordered.

As Soph arrived on scene Elijah had given her a fleeting hug, too distracted by what was unfolding before him. Several times he had opened his mouth to interrupt with a valid point, but the two Slytherins had simply carried on shouting over each other in a pathetic trade of snide or dismissive comments. It was only made worse when Soph decided to jump in, trying to be nice to the scrawny Slytherin girl of all things. 'Soph!' He snapped as she left his side, bantering away.
This is so stupid, he thought, shaking his head slowly with narrowed eyes. 'See you later, Soph.' He said, unable to keep the hostility out of his voice. 'Have fun.'
He turned on his heel and left.
