Scott had been waiting outside by the lake for 10 minutes. He had two towels folded neatly on the large boulder next to him in case Diana forgot to bring one. He was wearing a red t-shirt and his favorite Black and Red swim trunks.
Scott looked around for Diana and didn't see her. "Maybe she forgot," he said to himself. He looked up at the Sun then down at his watch, "Ten past one..." Scott shrugged, "I hope she comes soon."

Diana had been running late. She had to finish getting ready and could not find her top. Once she found it she left the Common room and practically jogged down to the Lake. She was wearing a baby blue tank top and jean shorts. Her hair was up in a messy bun and her make-up almost looked non-apparent.
When she finally reached the Lake she noticed Scott look down at his watch. Coming up from behind him, she wrapped her arms around him. "Hello dear," she said lightly whispering in his ear. "I'm so sorry I'm late," she said as he turned around to face her.

Scott felt someone wrap their arms around him and when he heard Diana's voice he smiled, "Well there you are. I almost thought you skipped out on me," he said jokingly. He pointed to the towels on the rock, "I brought you one just in case and don't worry about being late, I'm pretty much used to it."
Scott walked slowly towards the lake with a smile, "Well... are ya coming?" he asked pulling his shirt off and throwing it to the side.

Diana giggled and pointed at her bikini top. "Blame it on this... I couldn't leave without it," she said winking at him playfully. "Oh thank you," she said staring at the towels. It was really thoughtful, she thought to herself.
Watching him take off his shirt, Diana's eyes skimmed over his body. "Wow... nice," she said walking up to him and taking off her jean shorts. "So ready for a dip," she said running into the water and splashing him playfully.

Scott laughed and shrugged, "Obviously, or I wouldn't be in the water," He said splashing her back then diving into the cool water and swimming away from her.
Scott looked back to see if she'd follow.

Diana giggled lightly as he splashed her. "Hey," she said playfully as she dived into the water and came up right next to him. The water was marvelous and it made her want to stay in for long periods of time. "Tell me Scott.. well about yourself," she asked curiously. She didn't really know much about Scott, just that he had an ex that he sent letters to, and that he was a pretty sweet guy.

Scott thought for a moment and sighed, "Well, my parents were both Gryffindors when they came here. My sister, Sophia, was a Ravenclaw, and my brother, Ben, was actually a Slytherin. Um, my favorite colors blue," Scott said, just talking now. A smile grew on his face, "I enjoy long walks in the rain and shopping," he said in a girly voice, making things up.
Scott laughed, "No, I'm kidding. I don't know, what do you want to know?" Scott asked, "Oh, this one time, when I was like four or five, my brother told me I could fly so I jumped off my dresser and hit my head on the corner of my sister's bed." he said with a smile.

Diana giggled when he spoke of his walks in the rain and shopping. "Wow how interesting," she said in mock-surprise. "Oh well you are... different," she winked at him playfully as her hands swam around the water.
"Ha... no wonder he was in Slytherin" she smiled shaking her head lightly. "But not all Slytherins are like that.." she said truthfully. "I mean... I dunno," she turned her head and looked at the other side of the lake. Most people that met Diana would always judge her about that. Diana was one of the nicer Slytherins around and yet, when you got her mad, that's when it really came out, but that was near impossible, unless she heard you talking about what type of person she was.

((we're back to the "Type of person" thing aren't we? lol))
Scott shrugged, "People only believe what they want to believe. It's human nature. I honestly think that people shouldn't be judged by what house they're in or by what other people say about them but by who they really are, which is one of the reasons I wanted to get to know you. In this school, rumors fly fast and before I misjudge anyone, I'd like to see who they are for real and not the made up versions that go around the school."

(haha yeah that was right after your whole 'type' of person thing.. sorry I just had to add it ;D )
Diana smiled and looked down into the water. "Scott there are going to be a lot of things that you are going to hear about me..." she spoke truthfully. She wasn't completely sure why but whatever person she was caught with it always seemed to go down as if she was going to date them. She hated how she couldn't just have friends, preferably the ones who flirt. "I'm really glad that you've chosen to find out what kind of person I am... rather than listen to them," she referred to the gossip columns and people who just plain liked to start up stuff.
