Acelin glanced at the quiet Ravenclaw next to her. She had fallen quiet and Ace couldn't understand how you could be quiet when there was so much going on around you. There were students greeting each other, teachers talking with students, Prof O'Donnell was once again at the Slytherin table talking and laughing with a group of fourth years, others were sitting by themselves and reading the paper, like she often saw some professors and even other students doing.
She looked back to Alexis and nodded, looking very serious. "I understand, Cap'ian!" she chuckled, her serious face draining quickly into a smile. "Oh o' course I've got gear," she quickly said, defiantly, "I do occasionally exercise by me self, ya know, but I soon loose interest as I get lonely and what not." Ace waved her hand around, brandishing her fork, to emphasis her point. She stuck it into her mouth, chewed thoughtfully before adding, "I don't think I could do it now though." She stabbed some scrambled egg and lifted her fork to her mouth, "I've got Potion first thing and I've forgotten to do the essay we were set." Ace laughed and ate her egg.

Alexis laughed at Acelin's captain comment. She was a bit pushy when it came to talking about working out. It amused her to have it pointed out cause she tended to forget sometimes. At least it didn't upset her. If she had her way they would have gone right now she didn't mind working out more than once, but the both of them had classes so that was out of the question, maybe after dinner. She figured she'd make the suggestion. 'Well tonight works with me if you're game. After dinner so we can work off the meal and it helps you sleep better too. Does that work?'
She looked at her a hopeful look on her face, it wasn't so much the working out as it was having a friend to work out with for a change.

Ace's remembering about her essay made her eat faster then she was before and as she swallowed her mouthful to answer Alexis's question, she realised her plate was empty. She pushed it away, having satisfied her hunger, and reached for a glass of pumpkin juice. She took a sip and smiled at Alexis. "Oh, yeah, 'course, works for me," Ace hummed a laugh to herself at just how perfect that was. "Perfect," she added after a moment's thought.
Doing the exercise after dinner meant she could use the time she had now to do her Potions essay and then she had something to look forward to during her Potions lesson. She despised Potions and wasn't very good at it so Ace was happy to have a distraction for that. It also meant that she wouldn't hang around the common room for hours before she felt drowsy. Having such a large reserve of energy meant that Ace was always wide awake and that she struggled to fall asleep. So doing exercise would use that energy and tire her out. The perfect way to finish a day.

Alexis watched as she began to eat faster, it wasn't something unusual for her to see since she herself had done it on many occasions especially after some exercise, no she just wondered what it was that made her need to eat so fast. Maybe she had something she needed to do or maybe she just had this need to scarf down food. Who knew; she didn't think it right to point it out or really ask so she kept her mouth shut and just nodded when she said that tonight would be good for her. Today was turning out better than she thought.
'So have you done all your work for the day? I barely finished my transfiguration homework, so hard. Sometimes I wish my brain were a bit bigger it could hold more information and possibly retain more too.' A soft chuckle as she nudged Acelin playfully.

Ace swallowed her mouthful before bursting out into laughter. The irony! she thought. "Ya know, I was just thinkin' bout that," she said before stabbing her fork into a pork sausage. "No, I've got a potions essay to do but other then that I'm all sorted." She smiled at Alexis and took a decent bit of her sausage. It had been a while since she had had pork and it was nice to get that rich taste back into her mouth, especially since the meat was so hot and the weather so cold. It made a pleasant change.
"And don't worry about Transfigurations," Ace advised. She had struggled with Transfigurations at a time too but she got used to the pace at which the Professor worked and learned to cope. "I won't say the work get's less but ya learn to deal with it after a while. Don't let it get ya down though, it's not the most important thin' in life, now is it?" Ace shook her head and bit her sausage again as though perals of wisdom and food went hand in hand. Then again, with Ace everything could be brought back to food some way or another.
