Ella walked into the owlery and was immidietly in awe. She gazed apon all the owls, none alike, all around. She loved owls.
"oh right! the letter" she mumbled to herself, getting back on track. She had to send the letter to her parents and let them know how things at her new school were going.
Now the tricky part was getting her owl.
Or maybe not so...
She put her thumb and index finger to her mouth in just the right position, then blew to fill the owlery with the echoing sound of her loud whistle.
"Trinity!!!" She yelled her owls name and suddenly the fluffy white owl came gliding towards her, landing perfectly and skillfully on Ella's left shoulder.
"Ello, girl!" she greeted her owl, taking a treat frm her robes pocket and feeding it to Trinity. Trinity ate it greedily.
"Now, take this to Mom and Dad, quickly!" She told the owl, tying the letter to her claws on her foot.
She motioned the owl and it hopped onto Ellas finger as Ella walked toward the window. She opened it and stuck her hand out in a swift motion, setting Trinity off into the sky to take the letter to her parents.
Ella looked around and decided she might just have a seat. She sat apon the window sill and dangled one foot over, and one foot stayed inside.

Ella yelped in suprise, almost losing her balance on the window as she noticed a prescence on her shoulder.
An ebony black owl sat apon her shoulder with blazing green eyes and hooted.
"Hello there, fella" She said, putting a hand to her chest by her heart, trying to regulate her breathing.
It hooted again.

Adriana continued her search of the rafters. She couldn't find her owl anywhere. She hoped that he'd just gone out mousing or to find her brother, Paul. Bones was the owls name. Her brother had named him right before he'd give him to her as a off-to-school present. She'd been quite upset about it at first, but she soon realised that name quite fit the owl. He was always bringing home dead mice and voles as 'presents'. "Bones!" she yelled, thoroughly exasperated. The tiny, spotted, brown Little owl flew in through a high window and straight at her, narrowly missing her head. "Bones!" she yelled again, this time directed at the owl who'd perched nearby. "For goodness sake, Bones," she said as she walked up to the owl.
"That wasn't necessary. Here... I need you to take this to Mum and Dad." She tied a small bit of parchment to the bird's leg. "There you are. Now go already." She waved her hand at the bird who puffed up indignantly. "Alright, alright," she sighed, walking to where she'd left her bag. Bones wanted a treat before he did anything, like usual. He flew after her and landed lightly on her shoulder. As she got closer to her bag, she saw a girl sitting precariously on the window sill, a bird also on her shoulder. The girl shrieked, having seemingly just noticed the owl. Adriana giggled, but quickly covered her mouth with her hand.

Ella then noticed another girl in the room, apparently trying to hold in her laughter.
"Oh" Ellas voice came out squeeky "I didn't know anyone was in here" Now that was better.
Ella felt her cheeks burn, but then a sudden spark of Malfoy came to her.
"What are you laughing at?" She snapped, her heart and head immidietly scolding her for acting so high-headed, but she didn't take it back and say otherwise.

"I wasn't laughing," Adriana replied, a little shocked by the girl's snapping. She dropped her hands to her side and furrowed her brow for a brief second before straightening out her face once more. She had lied, she knew, but she thought that the girl had been unnecessarily sharp. She continued walking towards her bag, keeping her eyes on the girl until she reached it. "Here you go, Bones," she said as she held out a treat. "Now go and ... Ow!" Bones had nipped her fingers as he'd gone to eat the treat. "I bet you did that on purpose, you little slime," she snarled at him before shooing him off her shoulder and up into the air. He gave an unhappy hoot before swooping out the window, nearly grazing the girl's head. "Oh, sorry. He's a bit hostile most times," she explained. She hoped that the girl wasn't hurt or anything, though that would be odd considering Bones hadn't hit her.

Ella took a deep breath, trying to shake her Malfoy feeling.
'I have to learn to shake this' Ella thought, then she focused her attention on the girl.
"Oh no, Im alright." She smiled, hoping that would be OK that she had snapped.
"I know how that can be" She added.

Adriana smiled back a little uncomfortably. She suddenly felt quite awkward. "Might I ask why you're sitting so precariously on that window sill?" she asked the girl. She had noticed earlier that the girl had almost fallen and, though she didn't know the girl at all, she couldn't help be be a little worried. "It can't be all that safe."
