Yelping in pain as his owl gave him a wicked nip, biting not only his finger and drawing blood to boot, but also his ear of all places, and Sophie thought it an affectionate owl, what tripe. Muttering execrations he promptly kicked the owl's bed to alleveate his annoyance, but his foot found hard wood beneath. "Bloody hell!" He roared in fine temper, load enough to send bleary eyed owls fleeing the tumultous racket. Birds flying everywhere in complete and utter confusion, feathers floating upon the breeze kicked up from rapid flight he chuckled and began to laugh. At least he wasn't plummeting down from the tower his wings flapping madly before he landed with a dull crunch upon the ground.
He was nearly always capable of finding the bright side to everything; it just took him a long time to find it. Sucking his finger he yearned to be able to suck his ear finding a little blood dripping onto his robes "darn," he cried trying in vain to get rid of the annoying little drip of blood; knowing his luck it'd be like that all day. If only he had somebody to suck the blood off for him, perhaps Sophie would be willing he thought with a grin. But with the level of noise he had clean forgotten the reason for his coming here...

Coming up into the owlery Deianira heard a loud racket. As owls flied over her head and almost into her she screamed in confusion ducking down. She heard a loud angery voice yelling at something or someone further up. She stepped into the owlery to see a Gryffindor sucking his finger and his ear was bleeding.
"Umm... Are you ok? Have a bit of an injury I see. Did you get beaten in an epic battle with the owls?"
She chuckled abit at her own joke although he did not seem in the mood for jokes so she quickly put on a serious face.

William chuckled warmly at the girl's conversation "yeah that's me Will Harris beaten by bloomin owls!" Laughing he looked warily at the nearest owl, a particularly vicious looking specimen, he had the strange thought that it winked at him. Eyes widening he pointed it out "cor look at that bugger, he wants to go fer me." Seemingly to emphasise the reality the owl shot it's head fowards to snap up his remaining fingers. Recoiling in shock he chuckled further "thankfully you heard my cries and came to aid me no? Other than the blood I'm fine; just a scratch really." Nursing it nevertheless he sucked away the blood hoping it would clot up soon.

"Maybe you should have brought better weapons sir, or atleast a first aid kit." She said laughing a little. "Pretty nasty owl though. Mine's a mangy old coot, but atleast he's friendly." She walked over to take a better look at his ear. "It's a clean bite I think it would need one or two stitches that's all." Deianira had grown up around injurys; her brother, David, was accident prone and had gone into the ER three times now.
She looked over at the owl. "You shouldn't be so mean to people. I doubt he would have bitten you." The owl blinked. She laughed and turned to Will. "I have a bandage if you would like it for your finger."
