Drake got out of his four-poster and smacked his best friend, who was sleep-talking about the girl of his dreams. It was getting a bit annoying, although entertaining because he had something to make fun of his friend for. Deciding to wander the castle grounds, he got out of the Gryffindor Tower and walked around. He looked around the corridor corners before turning and when he looked one time, he saw a girl. He grinned as he walked up to her. "What's a young girl like you doing out of bed?" he whispered in her ear.

"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sarie yelled as turned to see on of her Fellow Gryffindors right behind her. "Don't do that." She put her hand on the chest. "You scared me. I'm Sarie by the way. I was just woundering around."

Erys had been over glancing at herself in the mirror, admiring the fresh Slytherin patch on her black robes. The tattered old hat had true brains afterall, knowing there would be a seriously painful dye job in its future if she wasn't placed in the serpent house. We're talking bright pink, here. Snickering at the image this thought conjured, Erys crossed her arms over her chest, leaning against a shadowed wall. Clearly out of sight from the little Gryffindor and the creeper who apparently liked whispering sweet-nothings into little girl's ears, she decided it was about time to reveal herself. "Quit screaming, child. You'll wake up the whole school." Moreso concerned for her fellow Slytherins and their beauty sleep but not about to mention it to the pair, Erys stepped out from the corner, her face neutral despite the smug tinge. It was night, right? Mm, her favorite time to prowl the corridors in animagi form. Fortunately she hadn't been a bengal cat when running into these two, there was no way she could have changed back without them noticing.
"What are you doing out of bed, honey?" Her voice was sickly sweet, and slightly sarcastic- only a fool wouldn't be able to tell the differance. Despite the hardcore Slytherin-Rules attitude, she was generally civil to the other houses unless events changed her mind. Erys was only curious as to know why a first year was out and about, and alone at that.

Sarie rolled her eyes. "I am allowed to explore the castle. If you where near your common room i would listen to you." She hated being a frist year and people tearting her like a little child. "Just becasue I'm a first year doesnt mean i dont wounder like any other stundent."

Arching an eyebrow, Erys held her palms up as if surrendering, but everyone should know that she would do nothing of the sort. Pursing her lips only for a moment, her face melted into the same calm, collectiveness that was almost always there. So she was wandering the hall, big deal. "Relax, little lady." It wasn't as if she was holding her at wand point! Erys was just curious, seeing as most first year's didn't have the guts to explore after hours. Drumming each fingernail - painting blood red earlier today - against her crossed arms, the Slytherin stared directly into the small girl's eyes. Call it a habit if you will, but when she talked to someone, she looked right into their eyes as if interested in what they had to say. Most times she was, but for the other moments.. Just a habit. Somehow it made her seem more intimidating than usual. "Bold words for someone of your stature." Erys murmured, more to herself than anybody else. Tut tutting, slightly impressed, she remembered her wand and its location inside of her robe. No need to check, Erys was positive it was there, present and accounted for.
However, this encounter was unlikely to bring about unnecessary conflict. She was just a Slytherin, new to the house but not to the lineage; her parents and ancestors were strictly hardcore snake, and married only the purest of bloods. She was sure they would have Avada Kedavra'd her butt if she had landed in Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or especially Gryffindor. No matter now, she had made it, her mother was proud. yada yada, congrats, kudos, etc etc. Not really that exciting, but Erys couldn't say she wasn't proud. And she damn well looked like it, with intense eyes, each shoulder rolled back, her posture strong and firm.
Allowing her thoughts wander back to the night before, or perhaps this morning, when Veata Bane and her had hit Ivan Thatcher with a Tarantallegra jinx. Unless terribly unfamiliar with spells, you must remember that it forced the victim to dance rapidly and uncontrollably until they used Finite Incantartem to release them of any previous spell cast. Erys had figured it to be pure genius when the fellow sixth-grader had suggested it, only to have her spirits dampened when that same girl had released him of the spell. Ivan had realised their secret! He had happened to be sleeping messily in a nearby bush, and wake up to find out about both of them being animagi. And it only pissed Erys off more to see Veata help him up, introduce herself, and completely ignore her while on her way back up to the school. There was no way she could trust him, or befriend him for that matter. Ivan Thatcher was in for a multitude of misfortune if he dare betray them. She just had the worst feeling about it..
Snapping back to the present without even a blink, Erys couldn't resist tensing herself a bit at the idea of her little secret getting out. Either she'd be regarded with awe, envy, or disgust by the student body. The headmaster knew. She was fine and legal with the ministry. Her father's money and her private tutor were the ones to thank for that. Realising again that she wasn't alone, Erys fixed the kid with a calm look, knowing her expression seemed somewhat defensive. "Whatever." Now dont go getting the wrong picture here: Erys had only little concern for the wellfare of this girl. Well, nix that, if the Gryffindor child was attacked, then she would have to bring her to the hospital wing and undergo investigation/interrogation from the ministry. Or whoever did the questions, nowadays. She wasn't as cold and heartless as the other houses believed the Slytherins to be.
{ Wow, that was long, sorry. ^^; }

Sarie was to walk away when she changed her mind. "Look, I'm sorry. I had some people treat me like a 5 year old when i wounder around the castle. I really am sorry." She smiled.
