Aly walked down the staircase of the girl's dormitory to the common room she glanced behind her, her sister was lagging behind as usual. "Rakki!" she hissed impatiently, "Would you hurry up!?" she beckoned her sister and proceeded down the staircase...

"For the love of Merlin," Rakki growled under her breath as she followed her sister. "It's past nine, it's late, I want to sleep." She flexed her fingers in annoyance as she quietly stomped down the stairs. "WHy must all your expiditions be during the time in which I want to sleep? This is what daylight is for." She all but growled when she took her sweet time catching up with her sister.

Aly rolled her eyes at her sister's grumbling. "The reason, my little escapades are at night is because we have class during the day. Ever though about that?" she said in reply to her sister's inquiry. "Now come on! Besides, you promised you'd do this with me!"

"Promised? Try forced into it." Rakki growled once again. "And have you ever heard of skipping? Sure it's an American thing to do, but I would rather skip than loose precious sleeping time." She rolled her eyes at her sister. "You should know, above all people, how I get when I'm cranky. And if I get scolded and lose house points for sleeping in class, I'll shift the blame on you and have the other classmates have at you."

Aly scoffed. "Fine. If you're so chicken, then I'll just raid the kitchens myself!" However, as she descended inot the common room she gave a cry of surprise. A beautiful ornate necklace had just appeared in fron of the fire. Entranced by it's mystery and beauty, Aly walked towards it slowly, hand streched out as if to touch it...

"What's wrong with you?" Rakki snapped as she smacked her sister's hand. "Don't touch that! You don't know where it's been." She hissed. "What if it's cursed? What if when you touch it some moster pops up and eats you? Think before you act." Rakki huffed as she dragged her sister away from the necklace. "Geeze, what would you do without me?"

Aly shook her head as if snapping out of a trance. "Woah! That was freaky! It's like the second I saw it, I heard a voice saying Touch it. Touch the necklace!" She looked at her sister, concern etched on her fair features. "What if it really is cursed?" she whispered. "Think we oughta take it to Prof. Darrow?"

"And you say I'm crazy." Rakki shook her head. "I am not touching some crazy unknown possibly cursed necklace and neither are you. Leave it alone." She took a few steps back and nodded to the stairs. "Let the necklace be someone elses problem."

Aly glared at her sister. "And what if the next person who sees it touches it and is cursed? You do realize that we'll be responsible because we didn't report it, don't you? Now come on, help me look for something to wrap it up in, and we'll take it to Professor Darrow." Aly glanced around for something to wrap the necklace in, her gaze finally alighted on a scarf that had been discarded on the common room floor, using the scarf, she picked up the necklace and rolled it up inside the scarf being careful that her bare skin did not make contact with the necklace. She turned to Rakki, "Come on. We need to take this to Professor Darrow."

Rakki glared back. "Well they shouldn't have touched it in the first place; not our fault other people aren't cautious." Huffing once more in silent fury, she followed her sister.
