Roe came walking into the great hall with a bag over his shoulders trying to jam a potions book into it, but it wasnt going so well. He stopped and started looking around the hall for his friend, Dru, but he couldnt see her anywhere. Feeling slightly let down he walked over to the Gryffindor table and threw his bag down. He reached into his bag and pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill and started to write while he waited for everyone else to show up for dinner.

It had been along day of classes and tons of studying. Dru was tired and very hungry. She walked into the Great Hall and looked over at her house table to see know one of personal interest sitting there yet. She glanced over at the Gryffindor table and spotted her friend Roe hunched over a piece of parchment. She smiled and started walking towards the table. "What you doing bird brain?" She said as she sat down next to him.

Roe quickly threw his hand over his parchment so whoever it was couldnt see what he was doing. He looked over to see Dru and moved his hand back to his lap. "Nothing that would make you laugh...actually it might!"Roe said as he handed her the parchment with a big smile on his face. "Cant you get in trouble for sitting at the wrong table for dinner?"

She grabbed the paper out of his hand and started to read it. Her hair was an odd color Orange tonight, and her eyes were dark brown. She started to read out loud, "Your the love of my life. I cant live without you. Will you be my girlfriend? Your so beautiful?" She set the parchment down and shrugged, "Whats so funny about you confessing your love for some girl? Oh and I will move before dinner...maybe" She sat her bag down on the bench next to her and started to look around the hall.

"Its not from me, its a fake!" He folded the parchment up and stuck it and the quill back in his bag, then continued, "I'm writing a fake love not to this girl in slytherin and i'm going to make her think her crush likes her. I really have no bloody idea if he does but it will be real funny!" He said with a laugh.

Dru's hair turned red and her mouth fell open. There are a lot of things you do that i find really funny, but thats just mean." She reached into Roe's bag and pulled the parchment out and opened it again. "what would you do if you got a fake letter like this? her hair dyed back down to the orange color it was before.

Roe started to laugh and reached for the parchment. I would find the guy who sent it and tell him how awesome an idea it was! I wouldnt care!" He stopped attempting to grab the letter, he hunched over the table, resting his head on his hand. "By the way...your hair looks bad in that color!" Said Roe as he flashed a small smile at Dru.

Dru grabbed the tips of her hair and looked at the color, "your full of it, my hair looks fine! At least I can change the color!" She argued back as she ripped the parchment in half and stuck it in her bag. Her hair started to turn to a brown color, "So, what other crazy pranks have you come up with today? She threw one leg over the bench, now facing Roe and looking towards the door, waiting for some of her house friends to show up.

"I watered my piece lily, cleaned my broom, and made some fudge for the 2nd and 1st years." He said as he watched the teachers sit down at the large table sitting at the head of the hall. His stomach slightly rumbled as he twitched in his seat. He looked over at Dru who had a spacey look on her face, he thought she was smarter and greater then she let herself be. They had been friends for so long yet there were things about her that he still didn't know or understand. But that was a whole lot harder to look into then meets the eye.
The smell of chicken, shepereds pie, pumpkin juice, and warm butter rolls filled the air as the dinner tables filled. "oh yes, its about time, I'm starving." Roe moved his bag off the table and reached for a chicken leg.

Dru looked around at the food, shrugging her shoulders she sighed, "Looks like i better be heading to my table" She gave Roe a sad face and grabbed her bag. She knew he wouldn't make her leave, although she did want to see some of her Hufflepuff friends, it had been a while since she had eaten dinner with Roe.
She threw her bag over her shoulder and stood up. waiting for him to reject to her leaving she moved very slow.

As he started bitting of a mouthful of chicken Dru stood up and started getting ready to walk away. Roe knew that she wanted him to ask her to stay, "go ahead and stay." He said, he knew that he didn't even have to offer, Dru would do what she wished, even with no ones permission.
Roe really cared about Dru, after all he knew her better then anyone. They had lived together since they were kids. But she wasn't like a sister, just a real close friend.

a little bit disgusted with Roe's eating habits Dru sat back down, "Alright, if you insist! There is enough of me to go around" She said in a joking manner. She sat her bag back down again and pulled a pitcher of butter bear towards her and pored a large glass.
She loved hanging out with Roe, he was the best friend she had. even though sometimes she wished she had more friends then the few she had, she adored Roe and thought of their friendship on a very high level.
