Cass sat at the back of the library with a blank piece of parchment infront of her and a quill held still in her hand, she was attempting to write a letter back to her parents in Canada but nothing was coming to her... Really what was to say?
'Hi mom, dad & boys, Not much is happening here in England, i have no friends and just finished unpacking yesterday. The train arrived an hour later than i expected but thats life.
No it didn't quite sound as though it would be something she herself would like to recieve in the mail. Cassy was a bright and bubbly girl and that letter would sound nothing like her at all, perhaps she should mingle more and get in to a little mischief before she wrote home, at least that way she'd have something to tell them about... even a detention or two was better then stating she didn't have any friends yet, although there was that one girl she had met, they were more or less the same, both new and both annoyed by other peoples need of knowlege.. Cassy would have to catch up with her tomorrow.
Leaning back in the chair so it was more or less leaning on its back legs she flicked her long dark hair behind her shoulder and closed her eyes before reopening them.. why was she sitting in a library while she could be out meeting people? Hmm.. a social outcast was not something she would become just because she was new.
Standing up she crammed the piece of parchment in to her bag.

Kim was feeling in a busy mood today, she had spent most of her time outside the castle since she had gotten back. She never carried a bag with her, only her wand. Since it was more or less the only thing she'd need. She wasnt really that fussed about studying or getting good grades on her report card, what she was planning to do when she left would require no grades at all.
Still wandering into the library, to have a look at things that used to interest her, she wasnt watching where she was going and found that she had collided with another girl. Which was a great way in Kim's mind to meet new people. Though she had technically been here nearly three years, she had only studied one out of the three, running away to travel for the other two. Looking at the girl, she realised she had run head long into a gryffindor. Though she was a Slytherin, she didnt always act like one, "Sorry, wasnt watching where i was going, are you alright?" she asked the girl.

Cassy looked up a frown on her face, not really taking in she had walked in to someone for she was lost in her own little fantasy. Looking to the girl infront of her it took a couple of seconds to register what had just happened before Cass laughed and shrugged her shoulders.
"Yeah, im fine! And i'm guessing you're ok too?"
She smiled, who cares if the girl was a slytherin, she was a person and they are what Cassy had intended on meeting. In one way or another Cassy found that it was what house you were put into that defined the person not the person that defined the house. For she knew slytherin had a bad rep, but her oppinion was that most people just acted that way to uphold the judgement on the house. Thats not who the people really were... although yes, you did get the occassional bad egg, every school was the same no matter where you went or what house you were put in.
"I'm Cassy - she stuck out her hand with a smile - 'Nice to uhh, run in to you?"
Laughing with a grin.

"Yeah im alright"
Kim looked at the girl, due to Kim's stupidity in running headlong into people, she did get to meet some pretty interesting people. To Kim it didnt matter what house you were in, though usually she did get along with people better in her own house than she did in others.
Kim's mood often changed where it concerned other houses, sometimes she was a typical Slytherin with them, but right now she couldnt be bothered with it. Besides, this girl seemed not to mind that Kim was a Slytherin, and usually it wasnt her judging people, usually people judged her.
"Kim" she said, accepting the girls hand and shaking it. "Yeah, sorry about that" she laughed.

Taking her hand back and slipping it into her pocket after readjusting her bag on her shoulder she smiled, she was aware that they had probably caused some form of disturbence in the library for the noise they had been making, she had heard from someone in her common room that the librarian was a bit mental, not having met the person in question herself she couldn't yet find out if that was infact true.
"Nice to meet you"
Yeah, that was all she could think to say, pretty lame given the circumstances that she didn't know anybody and probably had about a million questions she could of asked if she had bothered to attempt... but no.. she came up with a lame reply.
"So, are you in here to study or something?"
It was a library... what else did people do here... what a stupid question.

"uh.. no.. I dont study" she told the girl. For reasons she was here was mainly to find somthing out, which would have taken her all of about five minutes and Kim would have left again. Kim never came in here to study anymore, she wasnt usually in the library.
Kim looked at Cassy, putting her hands in the back pockets of her jeans, though she never wore the correct uniform, mainly because she hadnt bothered to get it when she returned. When she came back she hadnt planned on staying long, though she was guessing now the reason she came back would take a lot longer.
Maybe i should pick up my robes she thought Ill do it tomorrow though she knew she wouldnt, tomorrow never came with Kim.

"No me neither..."
That may seem odd concidering she was after all standing in a library, but when it came down to it Cassy didn't really study for anything, if she had a test she fluke it, thats if she was bothered to go to class. But seeing as she hadn't met many people around her yet thats what she had been doing, going to class. It was different to her old school that was for sure.
"Believe it or"
Cassy said with a laugh. The feeling was a little uncomfortable, as if the ice hadn't yet been broken, this was a feeling that barely ever happened with first meetings, but then again people here did like to suss everyone out.
"Want to go and a get a drink or something?"

Kim looked at the girl, she was certainly being a surprising one. Kim thought most Gryffindors came into the library to study, like the ravenclaws. Though people changed over time and Kim had learnt not to judge people. As difficult as it sometimes was.
Kim looked around the library, now all prospect of doing what she had come in here to do seemed to be lost. Kim looked at the bookshelves around her. She really wanted to find that book, but it probably wasnt going to go anywhere, it wasnt one people would find interesting unless you were Kim.
She shrugged at the thought of going for a drink. She had nothing better to do with her time. "Sure why not, could use the fresh air the castle gets really stuffy at times"

((Ooc: Do you want to make another thread somewhere in Hogsmede or just leave it there?))
Cassy smiled, she could go for coffee right now. Sitting by a fire somewhere in the warmth, she wasn't really one for the cold.. Well.. technically she couldn't feel it being half vampire and all but still, that wasn't something she was going to share with everyone.
"So to Hogsmede then?"
She asked with a grin.
