Helia walked into the library, breathing deeply the comforting smell of musty old books. She was, once again, returning history volumes on the events of a hundred years ago, deciding for the moment to let the past die... though she was sure at some point in the future she would buy the books for more in depth study... once she was graduated she could only imagine what boredom would ensue.
She put the books in the 'Return' bin and began wandering about. It had been a while since she'd just picked up a book for the pleasure of reading it; not because there was some sinister ghost attacking the school, or because she had a test to study for, or because a friend was in dire trouble and she had to come up with a hairbrained plan to keep everyone form certain death... perhaps that was a bit of exaggerating, but she thought this would be a nice chance to just read for the sake of reading.
The only problem now was to decide on a book...

Lisa wandered into the library, spotting a familiar face at once and smiling slightly to herself. She had managed to become some sort of recluse in the duration of the last term, and with summer soon approaching she figured she should acknowledge her friends before the year was through.
"This one's good, I hear." She said brightly, stopping beside Helia and teetering a book off the shelf's edge with her finger. "Has a great number of Trolls and Hags in it- Or this," She stood up on her toes and reached for a large volume.
"It has all the dates and explanations of foreign Prince's being transfigured into Toads." Pulling it off the shelf, she handed it to Helia with a broad smile. "The cover's a bit moist, magical books are always a bit odd, aren't they?"
She turned back to Helia a bit awkwardly, before shifting the books in her arms.

"Lisa!" she exclaimed jovially, hugging her friend, then taking the books. She smiled at the Hufflepuff with fond memories, "Where have you been hiding all this time? I give you chocolate and you disappear... well, to be honest I probably would've ended up eating all your chocolate... but that's beside the point!"
She chuckled softly, "So how are you? It seems lately that all the old students who have disappeared are coming out of nowhere... There's not some sort of hidden portal in the school that whisks you off to a parallel dimension that I don't know about, is there?"
She knew she was asking a whole lot of questions at once and that she should probably give Lisa a chance to answer some of them, so she shut up, and smiled broadly waiting to hear of Lisa's great adventures.

Lisa returned the embrace with a smile. "Hidden portal?" Raising an eyebrow, her eyes shining with mirth, she shook her head. "No, 'fraid not. Though, with Hogwarts, it's quite possible." She wandered over a few shelves not too far away, pulling a book off them and squinting to see the cover. "Instead, I was infected with the worst plague to reach the wizarding world in present times."
Holding up her Astronomy book with a slight smirk, she moved back to Helia. "O.W.Ls aftermath. But, the year's come to an end and I think I'm at a good place with my classes, so socialization isn't out of the question any longer."
Smiling timidly, she placed a few books in the return bin herself and then turned to Helia. "How've you been, yourself?"

She groaned, "Fairly unsocial myself, rather a recluse in my own wand shop," she sighed. "But it seems all the school recluses are coming out of the woodwork at once," she said cheerily. "You're back, and Brian's running a club in hogsmeade, and Kim returned from her many mis-adventures..." she smiled. "It's so good to have everyone out and about again!"
She looked across the shelves, remembering her own O.W.L. days; they had been hideous. Pulling all nighters just before the test, sleeping through half of the test and waking up just in time to write your name on the first page, "Just wait for N.E.W.T.s, if you think O.W.L.s are bad... well, you're right. At least when you're going through N.E.W.T.s there's a better chance of getting some one-on-one tutoring with your teachers."

Lisa blinked, before screwing her face up in distaste. "N.E.W.Ts? How wretched." She didn't want to think about those just yet, especially with the brand new term and clean slate. She had a moments rest, at least.
Pressing her back to one of the sparsely covered shelves, her eyes suddenly widened as though she had remembered something important. "Halo, you're graduating!" She said bluntly, as though Helia herself didn't know. "Oh," she looked at her friend forlornly. "You're not leaving just yet, are you?"

She laughed, "Of course I'm not leaving yet... At least not completly. I'm still working in Hogsmeade, and I'll probably apply to get an aprartment attached in the back soon. You can't get rid of me that easily! I'll always be here to cause trouble and make life more entertaining in general," she said grinning broadly.
She sighed slightly, although she'd been anticipating this for awhile, the reality of it all was setting in thicker everyday. The Ministry was in the school, and she wouldn't be. She wouldn't be able to help keep her friends safe and out of-or in- trouble. The Ministry was in the school and she would be stuck in hogsmeade, hearing rumour and gossip second-and third and fourth-hand. The Minsitry was in her school, and there was nothing she could do to help it... She frowned slightly. "You better just make sure you keep things runnign smoothly around here in my absense," she said to Lisa, a bit cheerier than she had been moments before.

Lisa's eyes brightened immediately. "Hogsmeade?" She grinned, realising the rumors were true and Helia was taking after the Ollivander's legacy. "That's wicked!" she said with a smile, glad that the Ravenclaw wasn't so quick to disappear from Hogwarts.
Seeing the conflicting emotions on Helia's face caused Lisa to raise an eyebrow in curiosity, before the girl retreated to her normal self. "Smoothly? Me?" She let out a bit of nervous laughter. "I've never been the leader type," she said a bit regretfully, "Though, there hasn't been many bumps to overcome since the forest incident." A shiver ran through her spine at the mere mention.
Though Helia's previous expression hadn't looked as though she agreed completely with that fact, and Lisa frowned. "Or... Is there something else?"

She smiled, "You know, it is pretty wicked." Although her Uncle hadn'y been completly onboard with the idea at first, expecting her brother to be the one to carry on the Ollivander legacy, after he realized how much it meant to Helia he'd been a big help.
"You're more of a leader than you my know," she said with a smile. She also shuddered at the mention of the forest. All the happenings surrounding it were insane. All the discrepincies in how it's acting... something was definatly wrong there.
"Well, you may not have to worry so much about anything attacking you in the woods... The ministry came to school in the middle of the term, closed off all access to the forest, stripped Bog of his Head Boy title, gave it to Fin," she shook her head. "I don't know what their problem is!"

Lisa suddenly looked a bit amused, though it wasn't exactly the time to feel such a way. "Closed off the forest? As in, they've made it even more forbidden?" She rolled her eyes, but was growing worried about the Ministry Officials.
"They have so much power..." She trailed off, furrowing her brows in thought. "Trying to wield it in a place like Hogwarts, I bet."
Helia mentioning Fin had caused Lisa to blush just slightly, though she had ignored it and continued as normally. But, after a long pause, she looked a bit hesitant as she asked, "Fin? Headboy?" She had missed a lot, and was a bit apprehensive of seeing the Ravenclaw.

She laughed, "Yes. Or at least they've tried to make it more forbidden... but as many past attempts at making the forest more forbidden show, it hasn't been working so well," she shook her head.
She nodded solemnly, "Like I said, they have some sort of problem... I just wish I knew why they had chosen now to invade Hogwarts. I can't think of a single reason why they need to be here."
"Aye, Fin with sway over the school... A scary thought isn't it? Kim and I have been discussing the ever present threat of a powerful Fin... to be honest I think I'm glad I won't be around for that part of it."
