[Library] A Book So Old...

Vanessa stared puzzled at the book in her hands. She had been sorting through the dusty bookshelves in a most isolated corner that looked as though it had never seen a duster in all of its days at Hogwarts, when she came across a book that was completely void of information. No author, no title, no publish date.

Tilting her head to one side, she flipped it open and looked at the first chapter. Half the sentences were so spoiled that you could hardly make out two or three of the words.

Sighing, a bit miffed she couldn't sort this one properly, she placed it under her arm to ask the librarian about later.

Jac had heard a commotion in the far corner but she did not expect to find such a perfect target. Jac danced around the ravenclaw, yanking the book out from under her arm, and then twirled opening the book, landing so that she was looking at the ravenclaw girl.

"Odd thing, isn't it?" she mused, flicking her black hair over her shoulder, "usually books have writing in them, unless I've been transported to some parallel universe where if you put the book to your ear-" she shut it loudly and put it to her ear "-the the information is absorbed through osmosis." Tilting her head straight again, she smiled at the girl, "what do you think?"
