It had been raining solidly for the past two days and it had done nothing but lift Grace's spirits. Rain had been her mother's favourite thing and Grace felt a little closer to her when it rained. She also felt closer to her when she was in the library, for some unknown reason so Grace headed for the library. She could have just stayed in the common room but because it was raining no one was outside and everyone was in there so she needed to get away.
The library was a sight to behold. Rows and rows of shelves filled and over flowing with books. Grace smiled widely when she saw all of it. She sauntered through the rows and gazed at the books. All were inviting but she could only read one at a time, she wasn't Jac after all. She came to the history section and pulled out a book with a beautiful red leather binding. She sat on the seat near the window that was near where she was and she began reading.

Maeve was hoping to find an open chair, somewhere so she could read. She was happy she had finally found this book that she had been looking for. It was about this boy who was "endowed" and was sent to a boarding school too. It was the next book in the series and she was excited to start reading it. She saw that there was an open chair by the window, but the chair across the table was taken by a much older Hufflepuff girl, possibly a seventh year. She figured she should probably ask before she sat down. "Uh, Hi. I'm Maeve Connor, do you mind if I sit here?" She looked at the older Hufflepuff and waited for the answer.

Grace hear the small voice of a girl somewhere ahead of her but didn't look up til she had finished the paragraph she was reading. Once she had, she looked up to see a Ravenclaw girl standing in front of her and she smiled at the girl. She noticed the chair the girl wanted to sit in and looked back to her.
"You are very welcome to it," she said, extending a hand towards the open chair, "and it's a pleasure to meet you Maeve Connor. I'm Grace Marks." She smiled warmly at the girl and wanted to continue reading but thought it would be rude. "What have you got there?" Grace asked, enquiringly looking at the book under Maeve's arm.

Maeve smiled a semi-big smile and sat in the chair. "Thanks! Nice to meet you too!" Maeve said happily. "The book is a 'Charlie Bone' book, it's a muggle children's book but its got me hooked. Its about this boy who's 'endowed' and is also sent to a boarding school to be with the other endowed children," She paused realized that Grace probably didn't want her to explain the whole novel. "What are you reading?" She asked politely.

Charlie Bone? Grace thought, tapping a finger to her chin, Charlie Bone? I’ve heard the name before. But where? She swiftly remembered where she had heard the name before. "Charlie Bone, mother used to read some of his stuff," Grace said more to herself then the Ravenclaw. Of course, she thought, how could I have forgotten?
Maeve enquired about her book and Grace looked down at it, before looking back up at Maeve. "It's not half as exciting as Bone's stuff," Grace giggled. "It's A Guide to Medieval Sorcery," she said a little more seriously, "it's truly fascinating." She put her finger at her place and closed the book to look at it's beautiful red leather bindings.
