Markus roamed through the corridors, hand in his pockets and his usual charming smile on his face. He bore himself with the proudness that came with being a Slytherin, as well as a pure blood. Despite his hatred for the impurity that surrounded him, he kept a casual look on his face and said hello to many people who looked at him.
Several girls, from random houses, looked up at him and noticing out of the corner of his eye he noticed they looked away immediately, cheeks going red. He didn't want to know how many were not like him, but he did not show it on his face, the disdain he felt.
He came to a stop, staring out of a window and looked out upon the courtyard below. He studied the features for a few moments and sighed. He only wanted what was best for the school and what had happened so far with the Ministry being here he was happy. The half and mudbloods couldn't understand the significance of the Ministry presence in the school as many came from muggle households where political views were not tolerated. His family supported the Ministry in every way, regardless of the rumours that were running strife.
He looked away from the window and glared at the students, his composure lacking from before as he sneered. 'Pathetic mudbloods...' He said to himself, not sure if anyone heard him or not.

Lidia had been roaming around when she saw a fellow Slytherin hanging around a window. "Pathetic mudbloods.." She said walking up to him. She was not one to call others names, but he was seeming somewhat arrogant. "If I were you I wouldn't say that so loud. My name is Lidia Cullen." She said, extending her hand toward him. She too was a pure blood. However, she hardly ever used it to her advantage.

Markus had spoken and looked away, before hearing a voice he barely noticed. He looked over his shoulder and saw a fellow Slytherin standing there, a girl nonetheless. He turned slightly to face her and crossed his arms over his chest as he leant against the wall.
'And why not? They should not be tolerated, their blood stains the very fabric of the wizarding world. Just because they have the ability to use magic doesn't mean they deserve to use it. Only those from the noble wizarding families should have the privelidge of using magic.' Markus said, smiling smugly. 'Lidia Cullen? I'm Markus Ramsay Everritt, learn my name well as you're sure to hear about me in the wizarding world soon.'

Lidia looked at him as he turned around. He was definitely going to be arrogant. "It's never a good thing to speak poorly of those below you. Besides, if you don't respect them, they will never respect you." She said, looking him up and down. "Well, Markus Ramsay Everritt, I don't think that you'll be getting by just on your looks."

'They don't truly know respect anyway.' Markus said, turning and watching down the corridor as the muggle born ran to class. He laughed slightly before looking at Lidia, his eyes narrowing slightly. 'And who says I have to use my looks? I have more intelligence than I have in looks, girl, so don't assume anything just yet.'
He looked out the window and smiled, knowing that he would soon be able to do what he is planning on doing.

Lidia looked at him with a disgusted look. She may be a Slytherin, but she was not mean. "They know more respect than you." She said. This guy was so full of himself. She stood behind him. "Do you honestly think you have more intelligence than you do looks? If you do, then you would know that it's a good idea to have those people on your side."

'To side with those who have filthy blood or to side with those that support the purity of our people?' MArkus said, turning to face the girl, acting out a genuine dilema about who to choose. He clicked his fingers, clapped his hands and looked at her and smiled wide.
'I side with my family and the rest of the pure.' He said, folding his arms in a way that he was right. 'I side with them because without us, those mudbloods would have no power at all, they should thank me for being in my presence, they should do as I ask and they should as I want!' His tone changed to a deeper, more agressive tone, but he smiled gleefully as his eyes showed that he was saying what he was thinking.

"Those that taught you your way of life are completely different than mine. I am a pure blood, but I do not look down upon those who aren't." Lidia said, giving him a sweet smile. "So what do you think of me? You don't like me I'm guessing." She said, moving closer to him. Lidia couldn't honestly see how people could think less of each other when they were just the same. Yes, their blood was different, but everything else was the same. "They would still have power if we were not around. Plus, what makes you think you're so great? Your blood? I think you are worse than a muggleborn?" She said, with a smirk on her face.

'You, a mudblood sympathiser, a pure blood?' Markus said, scoffing a laugh. 'I don't believe you. Without us, without the pure lines of the last few remaining families they would have nothing, they owe us their lives.'
Markus turned away from her, and began to walk away. He stopped for a moment and looked over his shoulder daringly at her. 'Do you honestly believe that because of your views I will believe they have a right to be near me? They're filthy blood defiles the very nature of our people and you're blind to see that.' He spat at her. He looked away and left her, content with himself.

"Lidia assumes quite a lot. She's convinced that those of us who recognize the beauty of a pure family line are arrogant sods with only half the brains it takes to tie our shoes."
Fiona settled herself against the wall in front of Markus, a tiny smile playing on her lips. Her whiskered shadow snaked around Markus' ankles, purring quietly and pointedly ignoring Lidia.

Markus stopped suddenly, his eyes lowering to that of the girl before him.
'I realise that.' He growled. 'And I also realise that mudblood sympathisiers are slow to realise their mistakes when the purebloods clearly gain the advantage in every ways necessary.'
He soon felt the friction of Fiona's cat on his leg. He slowly looked down, staring daggers into the feline body. 'Be gone, cat, otherwsie I'll have a cat fur coat to add to my already amazing collection.'
