Adair took a seat right in the middle of the Slytherin table, immediately opening the latest issue of the Daily Prophet in front of him.
Anti-Ministry groups were circulating around the wizarding world like crazy, and Adair scowled in an unattractive way. "Bloody sods. Should know their place and stick to it," he grumbled to himself, reaching across the table for a piece of toast.
He wondered vaguely how his father would be dealing with such groups, but all thoughts of the Ministry were erased when he took a bite of his breakfast.
"Eugh!" He cried, his newspaper rustling as he fidgeted in his seat. "I'll never get used to the mediocre meals served at Hogwarts." With a sigh, he went for the tea, deciding something so simple couldn't possibly be ruined, while sorely missing the meals of his old Academy.

As Diana walked into the Great Hall, she sighed. Today was going to be a rather long day, she thought to herself. Making her way through the tables and to the Slytherin one she smirked. There weren't too many of them up at this hour, but what more could she expect since it was early.
Sitting down across from a boy who seemed rather bothered her eyes perked as he spoke about the food. Diana smirked, "Ha... yes and someone who agrees with me." Her voice had always been on to come off dark but at the moment with everything going on in the Ministry she was in rather a foul mood.

Adair paused in his reach for the kettle and regarded the newcomer appraisingly. Then, with a sigh he grabbed hold of the handle and poured out two cups. Handing her one rather stiffly, he glanced back at his newspaper and noticed her eyes were regarding it with distaste as well.
He remembered his mission to bring the Ministry supporters and suddenly felt a new interest in the girl.
"You agree with me on the food being horrid, but what do you say about this?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. Turning the newspaper so it faced her, he waited patiently for her to read about the riots against the Ministry.

As the boy passed her some tea she nodded, "Thanks." Then sitting across from his she read the cover. With a light smirk her eyes perked up at him, "I find it rather funny." Her eyes skimmed the article as she took a sip of it. "I can only imagine how they are reacting to this," she said as her blue eyes skimmed over him.

Narcissa Black strutted into the Great Hall. She flipped her hair as she walked past the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff tables. She took a seat next to two of her fellow Slytherin's. She smiled at them and took a piece of toast. She took a bite, and made a sour face. The food here was discusting. She put the toast down and motioned toward a glass of Orange Juice. She glanced over at the over two and decided she should entroduce herself. "Im Narcissa," she said rather haughtily. With a smile, she added "This food is horrible." She noticed the boy across from her looked upset....

Diana laughed lightly as she noticed the girl put down the food. "Diana Fortuna," she said charmingly at the Narcissa. "And I deeply agree with you," she said simply. "I truly think that they are trying to keep us famished," she said superiorly.

Narcissa smiled at the girl who looked to be in the same year. "I'm new. I just transfered here," she looked at the bitten toast with a sour face. "Thats one thing I miss about my other school. The food was half way fit to eat." Narcissa laughed. She could tell her and the other girl would get along well. Narcissa glanced at the entrance doors, hoping her sister, Bellatrix, would be coming soon.

Diana laughed lightly, "Yes well I unfortunately have only attended this school." Her blue eyes skimmed The Great Hall as she thought about how stupid it was that her parent's wouldn't transfer her to Durmstrang. "I'm only here because my family have been in Slytherin for centuries," she said lightly.

Narcissa smiled. "Same here. My entire blood line has been pure. I grew up in a very pure blood enviroment. Well, my sister and I both did." She flipped her hair again. She had a habit of doing that. "You don't seem as if you like being a Slytherin." She asked questioningly. She didn't know how anyone could not like being a Slytherin.

Diana looked at her and nodded, "Yes well then I guess we bother were raised alike." As she took another sip of her tea she listened to the girls words. "Not that I don't like Slytherin... I just don't fancy this school," she said lightly. "I would like to see how other schools handle themselves," she said truthfully.

Narcissa smiled. "I haven't been here for long, so I don;t know about the school, but I do like Slytherin." She paused to sip her Orange Juice. "Me and my sister are very Slytherin like..." she stated with a smile.

Diana smiled at her lightly keeping her eye-contact, "Oh so where did you transfer from." When she talked about being Slytherin-like Diana tilted her head lightly, "And what in your opinion falls under Slytherin-like?" she asked curiously. It was an opinion question since not all Slytherin's were alike; however, it was interesting to hear people's views.

Bellatrix, who had just entered the hall, seated herself across from her sister and Diana. "Well, pureblood and very proud of it, of course. also, determined, skilled, and...."
Her sister answered for her. "We know were superior to the other houses. That much is obvious, right?" She took a sip of her pumpkin juice, watching the girl for a reaction.

Diana laughed lightly and agreed. "Yes we are all pureblooded aren't we," she smiled. When her sister finished the sentence for her she smiled. "To say the least," she responded to her comment. Slytherin was one table that were like a great big family, full of rich and confident people, let alone if they were pureblooded some how most of them were related.

Narcissa laughed and smiled at her sister. "As you figured, this is my sister Bellatrix." she glanced at her sister who had poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice. "We transfered here from California Hogwarts. Things there, um, didn't work out." She said with a smile at her sister. She loved how easy it was for Slytherin's to talk and be around each other. She liked the fact that she could come up to someone she didn't even know and talk like she had known her for years. "What is your oppinion of Slytherin like?" She asked Diana.
