Siege walked into the great hall and sat herself down at the Gryffindor table, altho she didnt know many of the people that were at the table she sat rather close to the other students. She pulled a piece parchment out of her bag and started to write as she grabbed a butter roll and started to eat it.

David seated himself at the breakfast table hoping there was something decent to eat. He half noticed that he was sitting next to a girl his own age she seemed lonely so David decided to cheer her up as best he could. "So, are the meals any good or are they disgusting? I am David by the way. What's your name?" He held out a cold morning hand for her to shake.

Siege put her quill to rest and look up at the boy who was offering a handshake. " 'ello, I'm Siege, or tonks, or whatever you want to call me. Foods great too, house elfs have it spot on!" She said as she reached her arm across the table to shake Davids hand. As she was retreating her hand back to her quill and butter roll her arm hit her mug of butter beer and it spilt all over the table, hitting her rolls and soaking the arm of her robes. "Bloody Hell! Sorry, I'm kinda clumsy!" She apologized as she grabbed a rag and started to clean up the mess.

David chuckled quietly as the butter beer spilled over the table causing others to recoil with their food. "It's ok Siege it happens to everyone especially me." David could easily remember a few of his less-then-graceful moments. "So, how long have you been here?" He asked trying to have a friendly conversation.

Siege threw the soaked rag down the table a bit and then moved the butter beer covered rolls out of her way. "Ah, nice to meet another clumsy person. Finally I'm not alone" she said with a laugh. She folded up the parchment she had been writing on and shoved it into her bag again. "Im the same year as yourself, 5th, I have seen you around I believe. I was late getting to school this year though, bit of a foul up with the train. Nothing big." She poored a small bit of butter beer into her now empty mug.

"I see I am left with you knowing more about me then I know about you." David laughed. He grabbed an orange off the table and started peeling it. "I think being clumsy is a rare art which isn't always looked fondly upon." He chuckled a bit at his own joke.

Tipping the mug to her mouth she started to laugh and lowered it. "If thats a problem you should just try and get to know more about me!" She said as she took a bite off a roll and swallowed before talking again, "Yeah, being clumsy is highly under rated! I find it fun."

"Well, then let's see.... Are you dating anyone?" He knew that sounded weird to ask but it had been the only thing to pop magically into his head. "Uhhh.. Sorry it's the only thing I could think to ask." His head pounded a little and e hoped she wouldn't think him strange. "Yes, being clumsy is fun although I am afraid I am all too good at it".

Siege raised her eye browes at the question at hand, however it wasnt an odd question, just unexpected. "No, not dating anyone." She said in a lower tone, then smiled, "Havent met anyone clumsy enough to date me!" With a light laugh she took another drink off her mug.

David laughed relieved that she hadn't taken his question wrong. "Hey, I'm sure you'll find someone clumsy". He stopped for a minute to look around the room it was warm today almost too warm. "Nice weather we've been having although it's really heated up indoors." He paused to wipe his forehead.

"Yeah, a little hot, but nice none the less." She said with a glance at the large windows and enchanted ceiling. "So what classes are you taken?" Siege asked as she grabbed a dark red hair band and pulled her hair up into a ponytail.

"Hmmm.. Spells, Star charting, History of Magic, and Defense Against The dark Arts." He thought for a minute trying to recall other classes he was taking. "What classes are you taking?" He, grabbed for a roll and bit into it surprised with how good it tasted, and he was a known picky eater.

She smiled with his answer, "I'm taking History of Magic, Transfiguration, charms, Defense Against The dark Arts, and divination!" She said as she look up at the ceiling again, this time she was looking up to see that owls were delivering the mail. A large black and white owl with big yellow eyes and golden feathers on its chest flew down and landed on Siege's arm. She took the letter from the bird and gave it a small piece of bread, "Thanks Guarnere!" She said as she lifted her arm and let the bird fly off. Then she placed the letter in her bag without even looking at it.

Realizing that the mail owls were coming David cupped his head in his hands knowing what would happen next. As that thought passed though his mind his mangy owl came flying towards him ungracefully smacking into the table, and giving him a crumpled letter. "It's from my mom." He winced guessing it's contents and wishing he could make the owl eat it so it would go away forever.

Giving him a slightly questioning look she said "Don't seem to be jumping for joy over that letter." She sat there looking at his owl, who dispite his magled apperance was rather cute, but she was an animal person!
